2017 COMBAT VIGOR -3 BBCOR Baseball Bat: VG2AB103
huge sweet spot, great pop, great balanced weight feel
Looks and feels great
Pros: amazing grip, great feel. great swings
Pros: Price point is outstanding for a 2017 composite. Very consistent bat, my son loves it. Says it has more pop then his Voodoo, and Mako. Constant hits off the bat with no sting, and it can hit BOMBS.
Cons: It is composite so not to sure on durability, but so far so good.
Pros: I bought this bat for my 13 year old and he loves it. He went from a 32 - 21oz bat to a 33 - 30oz bat with no problems. Good Pop Lightweight Nice Lizard Skin Grips
Pros: great has nice barrel size and is composit has great pop i recomend it every where.
Pros: Way more pop that I would have ever thought. Purchased this bat because of the amazing sale price and my son is a 13 year old 8th grader so I wanted him ready to swing a BBCOR for high school tryouts in a few months. IN a scrimmage against a 14 year old team he went 3 for 3 with a homerun, a triple, and a single. I've never seen him hit the ball that far!
Cons: None as of now
Pros: A tremendous bat,,,,grandson says he has more speed and tremendous pop off the bat,,,,,his friends have used his bat during games and their parents have come to me to find out where to get one,,,,,they all are hitting the ball better than last year,,,,great product,,
Pros: Looks and feels great. Well balanced, great weight.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Great Deal. Ball launches off the bat. 3 kids on the team have Combat bats. One bought the first, the others followed after testing it.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: My 13 year old loves this bat. lots of pop and hes almost over the fence using this. very pleased.
Pros: Great bat with alot of pop.
Cons: Nothing yet
Pros: Cheap price
Cons: not alot of pop, a little end heavy
Pros: good pop, big sweetspot, price
Cons: potential for cracking
Pros: no sting, large sweet spot, good grip, very balanced
Cons: thin handle and everyone wants to use it
Pros: overall feel
Cons: nothing so far
Pros: It has great pop. I like the grip. it feels good in my hands. I hit a bunch to deep outfield but I haven't got one over yet.
Cons: it rings my hands when don't make contact on the sweet spot
Pros: Amazing pop, good for those moving from -5 to -3. The bat in general feels lighter than many other bats I've tried. So far, I haven't noticed any durability problems seen with many other bats made by Combat. Overall, the bat feels great and it's just really fun to swing.
Pros: MY SON LOVES IT. HAS GOTTEN A FEW GREAT HITS SO FAR IN THE FIRST WEEK.
Cons: NONE YET
Pros: huge sweet spot, great pop, great balanced weight feel
Cons: takes a little but to get full pop, and grip is falling off
Pros: Lots of pop, very balanced, and great lizard skin gip
Pros: overall its a great bat and when i conect with the ball it flys
Cons: non so far
Pros: Light and Balanced. After swinging a end-loaded bat for two years, my son decided to go back to a balanced bat. This, combined with the balance of the bat, makes it feel really quick through the hitting zone. Big Sweet Spot. Very forgiving for miss-hits. During a game last week, my son got under a ball that should have been an shallow left can of corn. This ball drove the left fielder back 20 yards for a sac fly. If he had got this squarely, it would have been incredible. Highly recommend! And at 99 dollars, it is a steal.
Cons: None yet.
Pros: good pop
Cons: every time I swing I drop my shoulder and pop the ball open and the bat feels heavy
Pros: I bought this bat because I need a BBCOR bat for High School. I searched around for a good bat with a good price and this one caught my eye. Justbats.com delivered it super fast! It took only 5 days on free shipping. This bat was hot right out of the wrapper.
Cons: On the first few swings, the bat kind of makes a thud sound instead of the normal composite crack of the bat sound. After that, it sounded fresh as can be.
Pros: I took this bat to the batting cages next to our local Little League fields. On my third swing, I hit it and it went up thru the cage and kept going another 235+ feet. It would have gone at least 320+ but got slowed down on the way out of the cage. The bat sounds crisp and fresh.
Cons: Everyone will think that the baseballs are juiced when they see me hit on the field.
Pros: Great bat, has a lot of pop. The bat is very comfortable to hold and it comes with lizard skin already. The bat is balanced....it is not barrel heavy or handle heavy.
Cons: When you hit it off the end or get jammed it stings for a bit.
Pros: My son loves this bat. Great price for a composite and well worth it. He is a big hitting high school outfielder and this bat will certainly add to his home run count. Looking forward to using it this season.
Pros: I prefer this bat over the $400 bats that my teammates own because it has a huge barrel very good pop and rarely stings.
Cons: It makes a slightly different sound than most composite bats but you get used to it.

(1) How does the one-piece, all-composite design differ from the two piece bats (other than more vibration)? (2) Does it still get hotter with time or is it best as soon as it is broken in?
(1) A one-piece, all-composite bat like this 2017 COMBAT VIGOR -3 BBCOR Baseball Bat (VG2AB103) will not flex in the barrel at contact like a two-piece bat. The flex does not provide a performance advantage or disadvantage, but some players prefer one of the feels over the other. (2) This VIGOR will require a break-in period to get to the highest performance level. However, I wouldn't say that the bat will continue to increase in performance after the break-in has been completed. A break-in usually only takes a few days of consistent use.
Is the -3 just as good as the -5?
The 2017 COMBAT VIGOR -3 BBCOR Baseball Bat: VG2AB103 will perform closer to that of a wood bat as a BBCOR model will have thicker barrel walls; essentially a -5 model of the same bat would allow for greater distance due to less barrel wall restrictions.

The 2017 COMBAT VIGOR -3 BBCOR Baseball Bat: VG2AB103 will feature a better overall balance feeling but will not limit vibration as much as the MAKO TORQ; this is a result of the MAKO TORQ being a two-piece bat. If a player is allowed to use a 2 5/8" barrel diameter then this bat would also be legal as the player would not be gaining an advantage; this is due to the fact that BBCOR bats will be heavier as well as have thicker barrel walls.
