Pros: My son hit 2 dingers
Cons: heavy for a 10 year old
2016 COMBAT VIGOR -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: VIGSL110
the greatest pop
Using the portent mostly
Pros: My son hit 2 dingers
Cons: heavy for a 10 year old
Pros: my son hit 12 homers in his 9u leage with the 28 18
Pros: Great Bat! Ball seems to really jump off the bat, increasing my sons distance by 20 ft or more.
Cons: Paint job on the bat seems like it will not last.
Pros: its a very good bat with a good grip
Cons: i think you buy this bat
Pros: nice pop, the ball goes at least 15-30 more feet than an average bat
Cons: to light
Pros: Bought 28/18 for my 6 year old in machine pitch. Bat had good balance and great pop. He is swinging the 28/18 better then his 28/16 LS.
Cons: Not sure about the durability since its only got about 100 swings on it.
Pros: Good Price. My boy loves it
Pros: Bought this for my 8 year old to use as a BP bat on a 10u travel team. The bat has good pop and is easy to get through the zone. Love that it comes with Lizard Skin grips.
Cons: None yet.
Pros: My 11 year old son hit a bomb 250 feet plus the other day in his teams first tourney of the year.
Pros: Bought on clearance for $70 originally $190 for my 10 year old son who plays travel ball for batting practice only, he uses a DeMarini Voodoo for games. Haven't had the bat long enough so gave 3 stars for durability.
Cons: Doesn't have the pop I'd expect. Biggest problem is the bat has a lot of vibration, I had others on the team use the bat in BP and none could get through a bucket of balls because their hands were stinging. I've had this issue before with Combat bats but decided to give them another chance because the bat was priced so well. After using the bat, I'm skeptical of other readers reviews and the high marks. Hitting is hard enough without bat sting.
Pros: Great Price. Well Balanced. The kids loves it.
Cons: We'll see
Pros: Very well made, balanced bat with a good amount of pop! 10 year old son loves his new 29/19 drop 10 Combat Vigor.
Cons: Due to the paint color, silver, the bat will look beat up quickly, but it will work just fine!
Pros: A lot of pop and great feeling best bat for hitting dingers.
Cons: If you hit a dinger to hard you have a chance to crack it BUT there is a 1 year warranty but its worth it.
Pros: Nice pop
Cons: Nothing yet
Pros: Great bat, lots of pop. My son has never come close to hitting a HR until I got him this bat. He hit one in his first BP with it. Great grip and balance. Couldn't be any happier with this bat.
Cons: no cons
Pros: Using the portent mostly. Pretty good jump off the bat and he likes the feel/ balance.
Cons: none so far
Pros: Great pop with large sweet spot. We performed a 300 hit break in off the tee and have used it in numerous games since. My son and a couple team mates are consistently hitting the ball further than they were with lesser bats.
Cons: Off the handle or the end, the vibration sting is a little enhanced compared to an all aluminum bat. If hit anywhere through the meat of the barrel there is no vibration.
Pros: hit a dinger to the fence! no vibration. love it!
Pros: Recommend it to and little leaguer 12 and under
Cons: Seems like the paint doesn't want to stay on after a y ar or so.
Pros: We have the 32" bat and use it for all our taller players and they love the performance. They hit really well with it and love the feel.
Cons: We don't have any. Another player has the same bat but shorter length. That's why we ordered this particular bat - my son loved it that much.
Pros: the greatest pop. i love the composite feel.
Cons: it is usually pretty expensive but when on sale i recommend it.
Pros: My son used the 2017 model this yr on 11 year select team....once broken in can hang with any 917 or Easton composite for less $$$. Last week bought next size up for 2018 season and another step larger for 2019. At this price u can afford to...My son loves combat....a sin Easton is closing them down.
Cons: Easton not keeping this brand running...u will always have mako fans...if we r not swinging combat we r back with louisville.
Pros: Easy to break in and can feel the bat reaction/pop waking up with each swing. My son has a Maxum and this Vigor, he prefers the Vigor due to the nice end loaded feel. Hitting balls over 20-30 ft further in 1 week compared to his last bat.
Cons: None yet.
Pros: Bat is balanced well, has great pop. It might seem a little heavy if kids are used to a drop 12.
Cons: None except for weight difference and if they can get used to it look out!
Pros: Love it. Dont let the negative reviews about vibrations scare you away. That just means you arent hitting it on the sweet spot which is a swing mechanics issue not a bat issue. I look at that as an advantage. Stay inside the ball and no vibration.
Cons: None so far. if i see any i will let you know.
Pros: bat came ready to go! My son is a 9u travel ball player. He is hitting 67 velo off the bat and rraching 232' deep. Btw he's swinging a 31 -10. This bat rocks.
Pros: The bat had great Pop right out of the box. Large sweet spot. Just Bats has Great customer service.
Cons: Only had the bat 6 weeks and it cracked. Just Bats has been outstanding in helping to get the bat replaced.
Pros: Balanced swing, Great pop, true drop weight. Got the 30/20 for my 10 y.o. He loves it! Killing the ball!
Cons: none so far
Pros: lots of pop and super light
Pros: good balance

If your player has grown at all since his last season when he had the 29"/20 oz bat, I might recommend looking for this 2016 COMBAT VIGOR -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (VIGSL110) in the 30"/20 oz (length will be longer, but weight will be the same).

I was wondering how much the bat weighed? As well, my son is about 4'7" and 75 lbs. Would a 28'/18 oz, 29"/19 oz or 27"/17oz be better?
It is pretty much industry standard to expect for a bat to statically weigh 0.5 oz to 1.5 oz over the listed weight. Based upon your player's height and weight, I would recommend looking to a 29" bat. As long as he can handle the resulting 19 oz weight, I think the 29"/19 oz size would be good.
Is this a big barrel bat or a regular bat?
This 2016 COMBAT VIGOR -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (VIGSL110) features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter which is considered big barrel (but it is slightly smaller than the largest 2 3/4" barrels that are available).
