Wow- early review... Whit Parent

Pros: Extremely comfortable and amazing pop- little to no vibration. My son absolutely loves it so far but limited with weather conditions. My son loved the feel and he tried the LS Prime and also the new DeMarini - giving the bat 5 stars on short notice, but fingers crossed on durability etc... as time will tell and no other reviews out there.

Cons: None so far seems to be a great bat-

Compared to the PRIME 919 Coach Coach

Pros: This bat out of the wrapper was very smooth and quick through the zone. My son is 14/15 and hits a 33/30. Exit speeds on this bat approached 90 mph out of the wrapper on day one. He swings a 919 and his has serval 100's of balls hit with it and exit speed only slightly higher on the broke in 919.

Cons: Grip was a negative. Not comfortable and everyone that swung this bat the first thing they said was love the POP but change the grip. Thats a matter of opinion but we will be rewrapping ours.

Great bat - it won't disappoint Brian Benbow Parent

Pros: I bought this bat for my 8th grade son. He is a young 8th grader, meaning, he has 1 year to transition to the BBCOR high school standard. Prior to the Easton, I purchased 2 BBCOR bats, the DeMarini Voodoo One and the Louisville Prime 918. He really liked the Prime and was getting used to it but I had heard good things about the Easton. I bought the Easton and I could tell right away that the weight of the Easton felt much more evenly distributed. The Easton made the DeMarini and the Louisville extremely heavy. My son has been using this bat for less than 30 days and he has been hitting some good line drives more regularly with this bat. I think because of the feel and balance, his bat speed has improved. I know that this bat doesn't have more "POP" than other bats but I can say that the results have been superior to the Louisville Prime 918 in less time.

Cons: Price - that goes for all the new bats.

3 month after review Hunter Jones Player

Pros: Good grip

Cons: Worst bat I have ever purchased. Save the money and buy voodoo. A lot of sting if not hit on sweet spot. Very small sweet spot. Switched over to voodoo 2 weeks after swinging adv and a major increase of hits came along.

Pop not worth $ Nick Player

Pros: Bat weight feels good, swings well. Looks super sexy. Good shock absorbtion for poorly placed balls. Didnt mind the grip. Love the soft knob!

Cons: I spent $200 on the Ghost x and it hits substantially hotter after 1000 balls than the ADV3. Save the $ and get an older, more proven model.

Easton warnty John Choate Coach

Pros: I bought this bat threw just bats and they did an awesome job as always. Bat was awesome for two months before the end cap split in half. Now been dealing with Easton warranty department. Here it is halfway threw my sons senior year and they say it will be at least 14 day before they will ship us a new bat so he will miss 4 district games due the fact they won’t expedite a replacement bat which I think is pretty awful seeing I payed 459 for this bat not even two months ago

Cons: The warranty department at Easton doesn’t seem to care about the player having a bat after he spent 459 on a bat not even two months ago

Early Review-Fantastic Bat Brady Gagne Player

Pros: I must have a taken a couple thousand swings in BP with the bat and I have not once got jammed and felt sting, or at the end of the bat. The Pop is great, and with composite the pop increases overtime. I would highly recommend this bat to use as I’m going to use for my National Summer Team this summer. By far the best bat on the market right now.

Cons: The bat doesn’t sound great in the beginning. There is a chance the bat might be a little dead in the beginning.

Senior year John Parent

Pros: My son is a senior this year I bought him this bat in a 33 drop 3 He loved the feel and pop of the bat. Said the balance is awesome

Cons: The end cap broke in 7 weeks sent back to Easton and have been given the run around still waiting on a supervisor to call me back going on 4 days now. The representative I did talk to me told me as soon as she had a tracking number she would fast track me a bat that is going on it’s second week and bat still hasn’t been sent They generally act like it’s no big deal and couldn’t care less bc they already got their money is how it feels.

Very good feel Andrew Denis Player

Pros: I just got it and I just wanted to say wow. I am in the seventh grade and I am 6,0 and wanted to get used to the bbcor bats because they are the bats you will be using in high school. i really love the bat, the feel when you hit the ball in the sweet spot it makes that nice feel on your hands when you barrel up a ball with a wood bat. I would really recommend this bat to all players that are either coming up to high school or a sophomore or freshman. I also love the soft end cap.

Glad we tried this bat! Brandon Siegel Parent

Pros: Son is 14 and swings 32/29. We started season with Prime 919. After he tried a friend's ADV, he drove the ball significantly harder. He prefers the balance and swing feel of the ADV. The bat has great pop, on par with teammate's Zen, Meta and 919s. After 20 games the durability has been just fine.

Cons: The grip is garbage. Immediately rewrapped the bat upon receipt.

Not worth the money I Benoit Player

Pros: Bat works great for the first few games . Looks nice

Cons: Bat works great for the first few games then the barrel starts to wobble. Sent the first bat back and they replaced it. After a month and a half of weekend summer ball the barrel literally moved off the bat . This was a semifinal game. Umpire would not allow the bat to be used. Let’s see if they replace it with a bat that actually stays together.

Pros: Has almost no vibration on a miss hit. Also has a very light swing weight if you like that

Awesome bat Matt Z Player

Pros: Great swing weight- not too balanced just enough end weight to get that bat around with good pop. Awesome feel, hot out of wrapper, huge barrel. Bat is the best one I’ve had. I’ve swung Velo, 5150, Prime, and Select, and this one was my by far my favorite. The bat is top of its class. Barrel is huge and gets consistent hard contact. Must have.

Cons: Honestly none so far.

Bat is junk Ray M. Parent

Pros: Has some pop.

Cons: Got this bat on a warranty claim for a Ghost. My son seemed to like the pop but after just a few cage sessions the handle became loose and lost all pop. This was just a few weeks after getting the bat. I called Easton and told them. They were nice enough to replace it, unfortunately the exact same thing happened just after a few batting cage sessions. Clearly there is a construction\design issue with this bat. As it stands now the bat is just junk. It is ridiculous to think the money spent for these bats and you rarely get a full season out of them but it's worse to only get a few weeks.

Broke one month after warranty John Parent

Pros: Great at first. All BBCORs stink, but as they go, this was a decent bat.

Cons: One month after warranty expired, something in the joint broke because you can fell the disconnect when you lightly shake it. It didn't come apart, but will wobble between the handle and the barrel at 1/8th inch or so. It was $460 brand new, when the model was new, and to spend that much on a bat that was used literally one season will keep us from buying anything else Easton.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I don't see it in a size 31" 28 oz. Is Easton going to release this bat in that size or is the 32 going to be the smallest it's available in? Mando
The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV will be featured in 30 and 31 inch sizes but Easton has not released them yet. No ETA has been given yet on these two sizes.
Cameron
Is this bat end loaded? Does Easton have an end loaded bat? Roanyvision
This Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB19ADV) will have a pretty balanced feel to it. It will not be very end-loaded. If you were looking for an end-loaded Easton bat, I would to the following 2 bats: Easton Project 3 Alpha BBCOR Baseball Bat [BB19AL] and the Easton Project 3 13.6 Hybrid BBCOR Baseball Bat [BB19136].
Ben
Do you have the MOI/swing weight data for the 32/29 model? Chris
Unfortunately we do not have the MOI data for the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV.
Cameron
What is the recommended temperatures for the use of this bat? Travis
With the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV being a composite bat it would be best served to use the bat in 55 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer. Of course the warmer the better with any bat and anytime the weather starts to dip below 55 any type of bat, composite and alloy alike, may experience lower performance levels.
Cameron
Can this bat be used for play in USSSA 14u? Mom
Yes, the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV would be legal for USSSA 14U.
Tori
We live in central Ohio, and I was wondering if this bat will be usable in spring with colder temperatures (cracking issues)? Brad
With any bat, including the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: (BB19ADV), we recommend not using it in temperatures below 55°F. We suggest using an alternate bat, such as a practice bat, until the weather reaches warmer temperatures. The cold weather makes both the bat and the ball colder which may affect the durability of the bat.
Dani B
What is the difference between this bat and the meta prime? Jackson
The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV is a two piece composite bat. Featuring new Launch Composite Technology for a large sweet spot. And is made from proprietary Nitrocell foam for a solid and natural feel while increasing power. The Louisville Slugger Meta Prime BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBMTP9B3 is a three piece bat with the new 3FX Technology which connects the barrel to the handle and reduces vibration and provides a stiff feel on contact.
Daveron
Is there any difference between this and the Ghost X performance wise? Hank
With the BBCOR certification it is hard for any bat to separate itself from the others as far as performance. The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV two piece composite bat, just as the Ghost X.
Max
Hi, looking for a new BBCOR bat for my son. Trying to decide between the Easton Project 3, the Marucci Cat 8, and the DeMarini CF Zen. Do you have any recommendations? jeff Harrow
This all comes down to what you are looking for in a bat. If you want a composite bat with a power balance, the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV is a great option. Maybe you want a balanced fully composite bat? Try the DeMarini CF Zen. And if you want a one-piece alloy bat with a balanced swing weight, go with the Marucci Cat 8.
Tyler
Is it a balanced bat? Johnny hunt
The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV is power balanced meaning it has an optimized barrel length and balance point for speed and power. It works for both contact and power hitter.
Tori
What is the purpose do the ribs on the barrel have and do they need to be avoided? Chris
The rib marks that you see on the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV are strictly just graphics and do not need to be avoided.
Tori
How does this bat compare to the Beast? Barrel length and size of the sweet spot?? Chris Floria
This bat does appear to have a slightly longer sweet spot and barrel length than the Beast X from last year. I would say maybe by 1/2" or so at most.
Kyle J.
My son is a smaller contact hitter with occasional power. I am looking for a balanced bat with the lightest swing weight. I have read a number of columns that state the Demarini CF Zen and Ghost X are very close in swing weight and among the lightest with decent pop. I am having trouble finding a comparison of those bats to the new Project 3 ADV. Is this bat going to be very similar to those in terms of swing weight or will it swing slightly heavier? Morgan
The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV has a Pro Balanced swing weight, which refers to a slightly end loaded balance. If you are looking for a really light swinging option, I would suggest going with the Easton Ghost X BBCOR model.
Tyler
Which is better, this bat or the Louisville Slugger Prime 919 BBCOR? Grant Uyl
Both models are made of very high end materials from each manufacturer, and both should perform very well this year. I would look at the customer reviews and make your decision that way. Both are multi-piece, composite models to offer high flex during the swing and good vibration dampening.
Kyle
Just to verify, is this hot out the wrapper? Does that mean my son can go straight into full training and/or game and hit flat out. Is there no break in period required? NIgel
Easton does say that the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV is hot out of the wrapper and can be used right away. However, since it is a two-piece composite, we still recommend a little break in time.
Tori
With the surface of the barrel being "textured" is it still legal for play? My son was playing in a 14U tournament and had an USSSA umpire say it wasn't legal due to the ridges. Dennis
Any league that allows BBCOR models will allow this Easton Project 3 ADV (BB19ADV). It would not be BBCOR certified if the ridges were not allowed.
Kyle
What size bat do you recommend for my son? He is 5'9'', 200 lbs and 16 years old? JO JO
Based on his height and weight, we would recommend getting the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV in a 33''.
Tori
Can this bat be used for USSSA 13U play? Sharon
The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV you would be able to use for USSSA 13 and under play if your player can handle the additional weight in a BBCOR model.
Max
14 yr old son, which is 5'6" and 140 lbs, currently swings a 31/28 Easton Ghost. He's a cleanup batter. What Easton bat or other brand of bat do you recommend as a replacement for the Ghost? Marsha
The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV has replaced the previous Easton Ghost BBCOR model and would be a great option to consider. With the addition of a stiffer connection design, this bat should help increase distance on squared up hits.
Cameron
Is the bat end loaded? James Barnes
No, the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV features a balanced swing weight.
Cameron
What is the difference between this bat and the Easton Ghost BBCOR? Frank James
The Easton Project 3 ADV uses their new iSO CXN with Nitrocell foam, Power Boost knob, and a stiffer handle to try and improve vibration dampening, force transfer and overall performance.
Kyle
How much trampoline effect does it have? Eddie Hoover
Unfortunately there is not way to show how much trampoline effect the Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV may have.

Is the 3 ADV a better bat than the Hybrid? jared
The Easton Project 3 ADV BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ADV will feature a two-piece fully composite design compared to the Hybrid's two-piece alloy barrel/composite handle set up. This bat will be more balanced than the Hybrid but is not going to be a better bat in terms of performance. Both options will provide a very similar performance threshold.
