Unfortunately there is not a Ghost bat that is both ASA and USSSA approved. The reason for this is the testing protocol that the bat has to go through for both ASA and USSSA. The first designed model, the 2018 Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18GH10, was not passing the USSSA testing parameters. The reason for this is how the inner barrel wall was designed. Essentially, with the ASA testing a faster ball speed is used to test exit velocity. What this means, is the faster ball speed would compress the outer barrel wall into the recessed inner ball thus allowing the ball to come off the bat at the approved ASA limits. Unfortunately this same bat design was not passing the USSSA regulations which is why this Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 USSSA Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP19GHU10 was created. Within USSSA, a slower ball speed is used so the original ASA version, with regards to the inner barrel walls, was too far recessed into the bat causing the outer barrel wall not to make contact and the ball coming off at a rate of speed higher than USSSA limits.

Unfortunately ASA and USSSA use different ball speeds when conducting their tests. The reason why the original Ghost Double Barrel bat is ASA approved has everything to do with how the inner barrel wall was originally designed. Since ASA uses a faster ball speed during testing the recessed inner barrel wall was set up so when the ball contacted the outer barrel it would cause the outer wall to depress into the inner one and thus the ball would come off at the approved exit speed. Since USSSA uses a slower ball speed during testing, the same set up was not causing the outer wall to depress into the inner one and thus the ball was coming off too fast. Thus Easton made the Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 USSSA Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP19GHU10 with an inner barrel wall closer to the outer to make sure the ball comes off at the approved USSSA speed.
