It would be tough to speak directly to the flaws that you are referring to, but the 2018 Mizuno Ghost BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB18GHST will have a very similar construction to the smaller USA version. The benefit that this model will have is the additional weight the -3 offers, so that potential could help with the overall durability.
We do not have this bat in that size as it is a BBCOR model. All BBCOR models are -3 in drop and used for high school and college play. We are currently out of stock in the 2018 Mizuno Ghost -10 (YBB18GHST10) and are not expecting to receive the next shipment of those from Mizuno until late March/early April.
The 2018 Mizuno Ghost BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB18GHST may require a break-in period. If you feel your bat is not at optimal performance out of the wrapper, we recommend about 50 swings either off of a tee or by soft toss with a ¼" rotation of the barrel after each swing. The difference between this bat and the Combat Maxum is the construction. The 2018 COMBAT MAXUM BBCOR Baseball Bat: AB8MX103 is a one-piece composite while the 2018 Mizuno Ghost BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB18GHST is a two-piece composite. The Mizuno might generate more whip in your swing and reduce some of the vibration with that design.
