For the first time ever, the Axe Element is being offered in a fastpitch softball bat design. There is no model on the market that offers a stiffer, truer feel than the Element softball bats. With a one-piece, Mantic alloy construction, you're guaranteed a military grade formula that delivers powerful performance with season after season durability. The balanced swing weight helps improve control during your swing while the HyperWhip composite end cap reduces unnecessary weight towards the end of the barrel for increased swing speeds. Axe has also engineered a hitting zone that extends the barrel length and strength to a 270-degree contact area, so you'll never need to worry about rotating your barrel for durability ever again. On the other end of these bats, the shock-absorbing Endogrid technology is built into the handle to help eliminate negative feedback to the bottom hand and stop the stings commonly felt when swinging a one-piece softball bat. Axe: Make The Switch!
This Axe Element fastpitch softball bat (L151F) features a standard 2 1/4-inch barrel diameter, a drop 12 length to weight ratio, and certifications for many different leagues. Axe Handle Scientifically Proven Benefits
Better Bat Control - High-speed video reveals a "hammering" motion from the traditional round knob. The Axe handle stabilizes the grip, increasing barrel control.
More Power & Bat Speed - Range of motion is increased and tension is reduced in the hands, resulting in greater power transfer and more bat speed.
Enhanced Comfort - The Axe handle is ergonomically designed to fit naturally in the contour of your hand.
Reduces Injuries - Traditional handles put tremendous pressure on a single point of the hand, which contains the commonly broken Hamate bone. The flush backside of the Axe handle relieves this pressure.

Axe bat Chris parent
Pros: Christmas gift for my 11yo daughter. She his in her first year of travel ball and needed an alloy bat for use in colder weather. She likes the feel of the bat and really likes the color scheme. She has only hit with it a few times and is performing as expected with it. She has been swinging another brand bat in a -10 version so its taking some getting used to with the lighter weight of this bat, but her swing speed has increased a lot.
Cons: No major cons except for the fact that the alloy doesn't perform as well as the composite that she is accustomed to using. However, I think this metal bat would perform just as well as any of the competitors metal bats.
Love this bat! Ember Dawani, age 12 player
Pros: I love this bat. Some of the things that I have noticed about it are its amazing pop, great grip to the point where I do not have to wear batting gloves while batting, and I feel very comfortable while batting. This is a great bat so far from what I can tell but I haven't used it for long. Will write another review after I've used it longer.
Cons: One of my gripes as a female athlete is "feminine" colors on women's clothing and gear. The white grip looked sharp, but was grimy brown after the first day. I would've preferred this in black. I feel like it is very hard to find a bat for softball that isn't pink or purple and I know that a lot of women and young girls struggle with this problem and it would be great if certain things for girls weren't restricted to the colors pink and purple.

About the Brand
Launched by Baden Sports in 2011, the Axe line of bats was hailed as a breakthrough in bat technology by players and coaches from youth leagues to the Pros. The makers of the Axe line of bats often pose the question, "What does your traditional knob do for you?" Most players don't have a good answer. Axe engineers have created a handle that is not only more comfortable and safer in terms of hand injuries, but also helps improve the hitter's swing by keeping them on an even plane. Although Axe is new to the market, they are backed by Baden Sports, Inc., an independent, family-owned company that has been making baseball products since 1979. Their passion to create a better game is unparalleled, making it no surprise that the Axe handle is set to be baseball's next big thing.
