Description
The latest and greatest members of the Power Brigade are here and ready to be unleashed.
The Easton MAKO BEAST is the newest version of one of the most popular baseball bats in the industry and it now has the biggest and most powerful composite barrel that Easton has ever made. By extending and combining the game's longest two-piece composite barrel with the game's fastest swing speed, this bat is an absolute BEAST that offers the lowest swing weight index out of the entire Easton lineup. A low swing weight index results in an evenly balanced model that delivers power through fast swing speeds. Easton's redesigned TCT Thermo Composite technology creates a barrel that is 1.5 inches longer than the legendary, first generation MAKO for more plate coverage and a huge sweet spot. This extended barrel is connected to 31/32 inch composite handle by the patented two-piece ConneXion technology that maximizes energy transfer while eliminating sting for optimized feel and comfort. Adding to the comfort is the fact that each MAKO BEAST comes wrapped with the formidable HYPERSKIN grip and it is backed by a full twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty. Easton: Unleash The Beast!
This Easton MAKO BEAST BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB17MK features a -3 length to weight ratio, a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter, and is BBCOR Certified for high school and collegiate play. Buy your MAKO BEAST with the bigger, badder, BBCOR barrel today with free shipping!

good bat Clark S player
Pros: got to demo this bat at the 14u babe ruth world series and it was great. evenly distributed weight, Great pop, massive barrel, feels great in your hands, I love this bat and could see me getting it for next year
Cons: Price, but its a brand new bat on the market so what can you expect
name says it all BEAST! money ball player
Pros: awesome look, smooth swing through the zone, almost balanced feel. i was using the white bb11x1, now this is my gamer. i hope a bbcor XL comes out soon.
Cons:
the name says it all Dom cervantes player
Pros: great feel off the bat, little vibration ( which every bat is going to have) . the feel amd sound are amazing. balls jumb off this bat like the orange XL1.
Cons: there are none
2017 Easton Mako BBCOR 30 Coach Jim coach
Pros: this bat is ideal for the 12u Little Leaguer who is transitioning to Babe Ruth or a 60 / 90 middle school / high school official dimension diamond. most brands only sell 31 / 29 BBCOR bats, and they are extremely heavy for many transitioning players, especially for the player who has not yet begun puberty, and may be more accustomed to the much lighter drop 11 Easton Mako bats used in LL. this bat is a drop 3, but at 30 inches cuts down the weight by a full ounce, a big deal for the less powerful hitter. Moreover, the barrel is about an inch and a half longer than prior Easton Mako BBCOR models, and thus has a much larger sweet-spot. giving up the extra ounce will mean a little less power, but NOBODY who is 13u is hitting the ball out of a 60 / 90 park, so bat control take precedence over power. I wish all makes and models of BBCOR bats started at 30 / 27 instead of 31 / 28. This bat is sensational and in my opinion, the very best bat on the market for the newly 13u player.
Cons: the biggest and only "con" is the cost. no bat should cost $449, including this one. But if one were to have greater value than the rest, it's this bat because it fills such a big need for this transitional time. If your lad is a stronger or more physically mature player, then a 31 / 28 is a good choice, and he can get 2 years out of it, making the bat more cost effective
Good Bat but don't trust the weight John parent
Pros: Good Pop, but not noticeably better than better than the way lees expensive S500 or the Z-Core.
Cons: It's over an ounce heavier than advertised. We ordered 30/27, and it's 819 grams, almost 29 ounces. deduct 1/2 ounce for the grip. So if you really want a -3, get something else. The 30 that we got is -2.
I love it!!!! Tucker purvis player
Pros: I'm a 14 year old and got this bat for middle school baseball. This thing is amazing the way the ball flies off the bat and the feel in your hands. This is all you can ask for in a baseball bat.
Cons: little pricy but well worth it
Don't waste your ife savings Jakeman player
Pros: It looks nice. And it makes you look cool. And if you wanna look on the bright side it actually lasted me a good 2 weeks so yeah.
Cons: Well I have been saving up for a new bat to take me to the next level for years now. I made a bank account and started saving at 10 and I am now 15. I spent all my money on this bat and it literally exploded the first time I took it to the field. My parents kicked me out of the house for being "a disappointment" and my girlfriend broke up with me for stealing her money. Thanks for nothing Easton.
you need it rafe child player
Pros: very very good bat for bbcor
Cons: price
Perfection Amp B player
Pros: Beast is the best bat ive ever encounterd .Hands down. From its slick painted finish to the smoothest most balanced swing! Not to mention the pop it has! Very little vibration on mishit balls, swing speed increase is noticeable from the first time at bat.I highly recommend this bat ive swung many but theres no comparison to this bat..Congrats easton on produceing the best bat ever made!
Cons: Zero!
Best bat on the market Andrew S player
Pros: best pop best bat speed overall great bat
Cons: the only bad part is the price and the grip the grip is way to thick if your use to a grip thats thin it will feel a little weird
Okay Drew player
Pros: it felt good in my hands but when i hit the ball there was not as much pop as the easton mako 2016 seris
Cons: price is to high for that bat if any i perfure the 2017 zcore.
beast Johnny baseball player
Pros: because the barrel is so big you can no longer get jammed
Cons: none
Lives up to the name Brant player
Pros: Amazing pop Light weight Good feel in hands
Cons: The price but this bat is well worth it
best bat yet Colin King player
Pros: Little to no break in time, light swing weight, Long sweet spot, and I hit a ball 310ft on my first swing (Im 13)
Cons: none
disapointing Mike player
Pros: looks
Cons: price no pop dont waste tye money go with the Zcore instead much better bat
Mako JT player
Pros: i love how the bat is so balance and has great pop! Will always be a mako fan?
Cons: None bat is perfect
Pretty good Lance player
Pros: Easton continues to make awesome bats, This bat had crazy pop and the sweet spot is almost the whole bat. This bat feels nice in the hands and feels very light. This year I have this bat and the cf zen. My cf zen is collecting dust, the bats don't even compare this bat is awesome.
Cons: Not aware of any
Best bat I've ever swang in my life Dylan Werner player
Pros: The Beast reminds my if my two favorite bats if all time, the S1 and XL1, this bat has combine both if then to create the ultimate "beast". The pop is out of the park good!!! I've had many bats such as the Demarini VooDoo, Marucci Cat 6&7, 2014 Easton Mako, Easton XL1, S1, and the Rawlings 5150; by far the Mako Beast is the best in every category blowing every past bat out of the equation. It has gave me nothing but tremendous results such as blasting a 365ft. homerun in a varsity district game.
Cons: NONE WHAT SO EVER!!!
Beast bat John player
Pros: Great pop, and good feel
Cons: Price.
Great Bat, Bad Grip Chance Crafton player
Pros: I used this bat at a prospect tournament and I absolutely loved it! Great bat speed and has decent pop. The bat has no vibration or sting and feels very light for a bbcor bat.
Cons: Gets dirty easily and the grip is terrible and wears easily. If you get this I would recommend getting lizard skin or a different bat grip. I gave the feel a 3 out of 5 purely because of the awful bat grip. Once you put a different grip on this bat, it's unstoppable!
easton mako beast bb cor ncholas parent
Pros: I bought the Mako Beast in a 31 inch 28 once for my son who is 5 ft 4 and about 110 pounds , at first wasn't to happy with the pop. after about 500 hits the pop is getting better and better so be prepared to break it in. The Mako Beast overall is a very light swinging bat huge barrel very easy to get around with lots of solid line drives . my son has tried many BB cor bats and the Mako Beast seems to be one of the best drop 3 bats out there. I waited awhile before giving a review on the Beast just to see how it played out
Cons: none as for now
Beast beastmode player
Pros: I needed a very balanced bbcor bat as I am 5,5 and 100 lbs. Once I started using this bat I was able to go 5 for 5 at my tournament the next day
Cons: scratches easily and the grip tape has to be replaced with lizard skin, and it is expensive considering that I had to pay for it out of my pocket
amazing Cameron Lakin player
Pros: amazing pop, i have a 33" and it doesnt feel like it is 30 ounces at all, great sound and i havent felt any vibration once so ever
Cons: none so far
Best bat i ever had Blake coach
Pros: feels lighter than it is and has amazing pop it the barrel is so big i cant get jammed anymore on an inside pitch.
Cons: pricey. Dicks Sporting Goodss said they would match any price so i called them they said they would match justbats.com and if you spend $300 you get $10 off so i got the bat for 290 dollars.
Love JustBats.com Jaymo24 parent
Pros: Fast shipping, great customer service, highly recommended!!! Decent pop out of the wrapper. I'm sure like all Easton's will take time to break in but they always last long. Nice balanced feel to it also.
Cons: None so far
mako beast dingerville player
Pros: insane pop I am small for 13 but am still able to hit doubles with a lighter bat
Cons: none, got a good deal on my mine at a local store
Mom of college athlete Mom parent
Pros: My son absolutely loves this bat. We ordered it based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. My son is playing baseball in college and says this bat is just "awesome"!
Cons: none
Great Bat Oliver Connally coach
Pros: My son has the 31/19 -12. He is 12 and he hit his first homerun. We purchased this bat a week ago and it didnt take long to break it in
Cons: The barrel is not that big, but perfect for a solid hitter.
Mako BEAST is a great bat Anonymous player
Pros: The overall bat is great but is lacking some pop for a big guy like me. This bat is very balanced so if you're in middle school, this is a great bat for you, I'm in high school and strong but I still use it very well, I think I'm going to get a more end loaded bat but overall this is a great bat, get it now because it is at a very good price.
Cons: Lacking some pop but that's just my opinion, I still hit doubles in the gap and dingers with this thing
Mako Beast Tj Shay player
Pros: Excellent Pop and no vibration(its a composite so there shouldn't be any vibration). It is way worth the $449, and its competitor the Louisville Slugger 918 is the exact same, however, I would go with this bat because of it lats a little bit longer than the 918. This is the best BBCOR bat out there, and I would suggest this one. The new 2018 Demarini has more pop than this bat and also the 918, however it lasted me about a month and its pop crashed and it basically died. If you like aluminum bats, however, I would suggest the Louisville slugger 618 Solo or its lighter version the 518.
Cons: The beast is amazing, the grip needs to be better and you should get a lizard skin.
big jo big jo parent
Pros: great bat .. kids a lefty .. line drive hitter good pop. moved up from a S2 . 15 u kid playing 17u . pitching a bit much . but the beast works and seams to be the equalizer.
Cons: being a lefty the grip will unwind.
Easton Mako Beast BBCOR 33" 2017 Dennis Ramos coach
Pros: Easton Mako Beast The name speaks for itself, " Beast " 14 year old son uses this bat, He has hit some Serious Deep Shots! Averages 325-400 feet with authority Lots of height, I am so impressed with the model. I'm gonna purchase 34' Mako Beast This Bat is worth Every cent.
Cons: Wish I had extra cash to buy another before they're all gone!
Christoph Daniel Caroline player
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The first ball i hit with this bat it completely snapped in half, wasted 500 on a bat that did me no good. i was very disappointed.
This thing is a beast Zach player
Pros: Bought this bat for my first year of BBCOR, and it has pop. For a BBCOR, the ball goes farther than I expected. The sweet spot is huge.
Cons: Price is still too high for my liking.
Amazing Manny parent
Pros: Just newly unwrapped for Christmas. No issues as of yet
Cons: None
great bat colin player

14U AAA Player Carl coach
Pros: Great pop and feel. I looked into a lot of different drop 5 bats before making this purchase. We have a Hit Trax in our training facility and after 2 months my sons exit velo went from 76 to 89. He loves the bat but more than anything he is swinging with confidence. Great bat, must buy.
Cons: None
reviw anymous player
Pros: Its a Good bat
Cons: vibration
Awesome bat John parent
Pros: Loooks good.Ball jumps off bat. My son loves it.
Cons: none
Great Bat Leesburg Consumer parent
Pros: My son had this bat his final year of little league. He loved it. No vibration, great sound and feel. Plenty of pop, HRs in this bat. Now hitting BBCOR and went with what he likes and is confident with. Same great feel and aound. Great pop for BBCOR, and better swing weight than the alloys. He says he can barely feel the weight difference. Confidence makes good hitters.
Cons: Costs more than alloy.
Amazing Babe Ruth player
Pros: Amazing
Cons: Amazing
THIS BAT IS A "BEAST" BUT IS IT WORTH THE COST? littleleaguepop parent
Pros: What can I say, Easton hit pay dirt all the way back to the 2011 "Omen" which became the bat of "lore". The bat is amazing, and my son swings this bat with ridiculous successful results. Feels just a tad end-loaded which is a good thing for a balanced swinging bat. I applaud Easton's discipline to NOT make an XL version in this model, as there is no reason, as this bat is somewhat in the middle. The two-piece design allows a whip effect which produces additional punch when your kid times it up correctly. The sweet-spot is massive, so unless hit on the handle or tip, will rocket away somewhere on the field. Also a durable bat, can be used over and over and will crack before it breaks. Another reason Easton's are so expensive, and this is important so pay attention, thanks to the cutting-edge TCT Thermo Composite Technology the bat does not lose its pop, however, continue to become hotter and hotter. However, is it so much better than other less priced bats in its line?
Cons: My question, is the Easton Mako Beast, worth the additional cost over the Easton Mako Torq XL 2-5/8" BBCOR Bat -3oz also in its line? At 3x more expensive than the green Torq, it is a no-brainer. When I purchased my son his black Mako Beast, I also purchased him the green Mako Torq XL as a field bat and maybe more. We tested both bats and were shocked. He was actually hitting bigger bombs with the green Mako Torq XL as well as fighting off inside pitches better with its spinning handle. The bottom line, he hit better with the green Mako Torq XL. Now.... which bat does he use in his Travel Ball and Babe Ruth games? The black Mako Beast of course. ??
great bat bball dad parent
Pros: nice feel, great pop. we tried many bats including both 18' and 17'. This bat stood out over all others for balance, ease of swing and pop.
Cons: none
Great bat, broken Hugo Aponte player
Pros: Awesome feel, awesome pop, awesome weight distribution
Cons: Broke within 2 months of use, the top piece of the bat is loose, also not sold at 32" which stunk
Doesn't feel like a composite bat Stephen player
Pros: This bat has a giant barrel and is quite light but other than that the bat is very average.
Cons: I hate how this feels once the ball is hit, it is fully composite, but it feels almost like a half aluminum half composite bat. If you are looking for a composite bat with a traditional composite feel do not buy this bat. Also this bat makes an extremely strange sound when you hit with it, at times it sounds like a wood bat and at times it sounds aluminum.
Not Durable/ Lots Of Lemons G-Baby player
Pros: My team bought three of these bats between us and two of them were lemons. The one that wasn't a lemon had amazing pop and has held up very well. Our highschool team had senior night for our first fame and our senior hit a 450 ft. plus 3 run jack. It is also a black bat so when you leave it in the sun the pop is insane. The pop is better than the new ghost X.
Cons: I would recommend this bat if you are willing to go through a few returns.
Easton Mako Beast JD McReynolds player
Pros: This bat is amazing! I play very competitive travel baseball and this has held up good. Doesn’t sting the hands a lot and has great pop out of the wrapper. In my opinion, best bat money can buy.
Cons: I have absolutely no cons about this bat. Has performed up to my expectations
Amazing Bat Ben Davis Player
Pros: Long barrel and huge sweet spot. Came out of the box great, required very little breaking in. I've had this bat for a year now and it still has the same pop as it had when I got it. Good end weight great for power hitters. Overall great bat.
Cons: Handle grip wore out very quick, had to buy new grip and pinetar.
