Description

As the industry leader for over 30 years, Easton Softball has continued to raise the bar with innovation, originality and ingenuity. From its ultra-light -12 length to weight ratio and balanced swing weight, to its regulation-testing IMX Composite Technology and massive sweet spot, the FS3 is specifically designed to allow even younger players to experience elite-level fastpitch performance. That technology is then packed into its two-piece fully composite frame that's amplified with CXN ZERO Technology. Bursting onto the scene last year, the CXN ZERO Technology takes this extremely balanced design to the next level. The best hitters in the game know that Confidence = Performance, and by eliminating all vibration on contact, the CXN ZERO allows hitters of all skill levels to Feel The Power! But the team at Easton has now taken the FS3 to a whole new level with the inclusion of the TORQ 360 Degree Rotating Handle Technology. You might be asking - "What can TORQ Technology do for me?" - Here's the rundown:

Own The Inner Half: The TORQ Handle frees up your hands, allowing hitters to barrel-up the inside pitch and avoid the dreaded "jam sandwich".

Stay Inside The Ball: By getting your hands inside the ball, the TORQ promotes the best swing mechanics for more consistent, powerful contact.

Power To All Fields: TORQ Technology helps you keep the barrel on-plane longer through the hitting zone, so you can drive the ball with more backspin (to all parts of the yard).

The FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO features a 2 1/4" barrel diameter, -12 length to weight ratio, new TORQ TAQ Performance Grip, and is Approved for Play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. Amplify Your Power and pick up the Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 today at JustBats.com. The shipping is always free, and we're always here for you - from ClickToHit!

What levels is the bat approved for? cc10

What is the drop weight of this bat for 33 inches? And the new TORQ grip, does it move? How is this beneficial for my daughter, who plays at the high school level? Does the bat require a break-in period and does it have a lot of pop? Eggs
The 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 will feature a drop 12 so a bat that is 33 inches would have a weight of 21 ounces. As for the TORQ handle, it can rotate 360 degrees. The concept behind the TORQ handle is to help facilitate proper hand mechanics leading up to contact and then during the follow through of the swing (palm up/palm down and then proper finish as the hands twist). Not all players will like the TORQ handle so we would suggest taking dry swings to get a feel for this handle before using bat. This bat will require a break-in since it is a composite bat. Generally composite baseball bats are going to need around 150 to 200 hits on them to start performing up to their potential. When breaking in a composite baseball bat, it is important to start off at about 50% power and gradually increase as your swing count rises. It is also important to rotate the bat about a 1/4 inch on every swing. This ensures that your bat gets evenly broken in. As for the pop, the 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 will feature similar pop to other bats also featuring a drop 12.

I am going to order this bat and I'm wondering what the break in period is? It's been my daughter's dream bat and I am going to buy it for her. MH55
The 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 will be ready to use right out of the wrapper. However, a short break-in of about 50 swings off of a tee or soft-toss will enhance its performance.

What is the difference between the FS3 Torq and mk10 Torq? And which would be better for my 11 year old who is 5'2" and is 105 lbs? She is on a travel team. maddy
The 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 is going to feature a -12 drop weight, where as the 2016 Easton MAKO TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16MKT10 is going to be a -10 drop weight. The bats are going to feature different composites. The 2016 Easton MAKO TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16MKT10 features the TCT composite, whereas the 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 features the IMX composite. Both bats feature the two piece fully composite design.

My daughter is in 8-U ball (she is about 4'2" and 70 lbs) and will be moving up to 10-U. Would a 31"/19 oz bat be good for her? Will this bat transition well with her? jlowe
Based upon your player's height and weight, my general recommendation would be to get this 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP16S3T12) in the 29" length. To get something that will be best as she grows, I am thinking a 30" option might be a little bit better than jumping to a 31" for now (unless she has already swung a 30" in the past and it is too small). I think that the 30"/18 oz model would present the best opportunity to work well for her in this current season and into the future as well.
Ben
My daughter is 5'5" and about 125 pounds. What size Easton bat would you recommend? FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO or the FS3 CXN ZERO is what I was looking at. brady
Based on your daughter's height and weight, I would recommend that she swing a 33" length. I think both of those bats would be great options to look into as well.
Nick
My daughter is 11 years old, is 5'0" and weighs 80-85 pounds very skinny and not physically strong. Can you recommend a length and weight for her, please? She's playing 12u travel this coming year. Coach Kurt
For the 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 I would recommend a 30 or 31 inch model. The bat coach on our site is good tool to estimate the bat size your player needs in the future.
Trevor
Does this bat need to be broken in? If so, how do I do so? Emily
The 2016 Easton FS3 TORQ CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP16S3T12 will require about 150-200 hits on the barrel to fully break in. I would recommend doing this via soft-toss or front-toss and rotating the barrel a quarter turn every 10-15 hits.
