Description
Achieve a higher swing velocity and more power with this Rawlings baseball bat. The Quatro baseball bat made such an impact during its debut season that Rawlings has decided to bring it back with new and improved features. The Quatro Pro BBCOR baseball bat is made from a re-engineered flexible composite material, this allows for more pop off the bat and extended ball flight on contact. This big barrel bat is engineered for a balanced feel, greater performance, and reduced weight, so less effort is required through the swing zone. Designed for the middle-of-the-order hitter, the Quatro Pro BBCOR bat has a new Focused Flex system that eliminates barrel drag to help hitters stay through the ball, and it reduces the amount of vibration upon impact. Rawlings: Finest In The Field.
This Rawlings Quatro Pro BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB9Q3) features a standard 2 5/8-inch barrel diameter, a drop 3 length to weight ratio, and the BBCOR certification sticker across the taper for high school and collegiate approval. Power through each swing with this Quatro Pro BBCOR bat and you'll see hits that travel farther, faster. The Longitudinal Flex feature means more composite layering on the inside of the bat to produce a trampoline effect across the barrel for a greater push. This is coupled with the Suspended Inner Barrel that provides a balanced swing weight to help players increase their bat speed. A silicone-infused collar feels smooth to the touch and is easy to grip for maximum control. Add this bat to your bat bag today and enjoy free shipping and a full 12-month manufacturer's warranty. Pros: This Bat is mint tons of pop . swings easy and very balanced . my son is 14 and not a really big kid and he been hitting the ball 300 feet. The only thing he don't like on this bat is the grip I have already replaced it for him with a lizard skin
Cons: Grip is not very good
Pros: plenty of pop
Cons: Broke after three weeks rawlings fixed and returned We will see!!!
Pros: no sting
Cons: I play Division 1 college baseball and this bat is nothing like the year before's model. 2018 quatro is beautiful, only problem with it was that it would break after a max amount of swings. This year it was obvious they tried to compensate for the amount of broken bats, doing so it was very clear they sacrificed the bats pop and overall quality. If possible, get the 2018 model. If not, get a voodoo or velo.
Pros: Great bat while it last.
Cons: I have purchased 2 of these bats new, one of them literally lasted 2 days of inside hitting and the other lasted a month or so. Both bats come apart at the handle. It is unfortunate because it is an great bat but there is no way it will last more than a few weeks. I have always purchased Rawlings bats and now have 9 total that are all broken--enough is enough!
Pros: tremendous pop, huge sweet spot, forgiving with ball hit in on hands.
Cons: None yet. We had the 2018 drop 3 Quattro, only last part of a season and one summer a total of 5 months. Sent it back to Rawlings, who replaced it with this 2019 model. So far it is performing as good and maybe better than 2018 model. ps; Rawlings was great to deal with on the return, no hassle. Although, unlike Easton who have always just sent you a new one with just the receipt. Rawlings did not send the new one until they received the broken one first.
Pros: Incredible Pop Balanced swing weight Super hot
Cons: None so far. We will see about durability
Pros: Kids first foray into BBCOR. We have swung a few including a 618 Solo which gets good reviews but was like hitting a wet shoebox compare to the USSSA bats he uses in travel. I was surprised at how hard he was able to hit the ball (he's 12). Really good pop....not -5 pop but I was pleasantly surprised. Balanced so he was able to get it around. The feel of the barrel is fantastic and my son loves the sound. Bottom line is we have had every CF whatever, Mako, XL etc.etc. to come down the pike and my son was enjoying swinging this every bit as much as his missile launchers.
Cons: ....well there is that one thing...about 70 or so swings in the bat developed a rattle at the connection piece. I will be sending it back and I'm hoping Rawlings is cool on the customer service. For the price of the bat I'm hoping to at least make it through a season...not one inspired BP.
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper. 14 year old son hit 77 Exit speed soft toss first 20 pitches with this bat. Can't wait to see where it goes when broken in.
Cons: N/A
Pros: Great feel
Cons: None
Pros: - no sting - feels great off the bat
Cons: - non
Pros: Probably the best all around bat I’ve ever used
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: This is the best BBCOR bat I have used. Almost my whole team uses my Quatro now and it is great all around. The balance and the light swing weight feels much lighter than other bats. It has great pop with a large barrel
Cons: None. This bat is amazing!
Pros: Balanced, easy to swing, great pop and did I mention great pop. This bat has lived up to every expectation a parent could have after dropping $450 on a bat. Son has played 25 games and who knows how many practices. Also, 3 separate hitting sessions in a cage per week. This bat is a beast. No issues. Thanks Rawlings and thanks JustBats.
Cons: None
Pros: Son hits great with the bat and loves how it feels.
Cons: He only had it for a week and it cracked while hitting. Rawlings was great and sent him a new 1. He babied it and would only use it when the temperature was over 50. He only got to use it a few times and it cracked again. He is 12 years old and used his own money from mowing yards to buy the bat.
Pros: This bat is the best bat I have ever swung from last years model, 517,518,519,617, and it goes head and head with 919 prime. Good pop
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Bat has a light swinging feel very balanced . Has great Velosity off the barrel the sweet spot is big making for more consistent hits
Cons: Nothing bad about the bat I did have the pin work it’s way out of the handle with the yellow Quattro But Rawlings did not hesitate and sent me the new black Quattro in two days at my doors before I sent old bat ! Now that’s the type oc customer service I want and will continue to buy Rawlings bats
Pros: Hits absolute nukes and is a great bat for middle school and high school players
Cons: The handle is very light and provides quick bat speed but is different than most bats
Pros: This bat has some pop, I really enjoy using it. When I make contact with the ball i can really feel the ball leaving my bat. One of the best bats out there right now.
Cons: None
Pros: My son plays 150 games every season. He wanted this bat but I was hesitant due to it's price and there isn't anything wrong with the host of bats that he currently has. Three weeks have passed and it's the only bat he now uses and I noticed this past week, two of his teammates stepped to the plate with his bat. Apparently, it is a well liked product!
Cons: Price...but it was on sale when I bought it.
Pros: you look cool
Cons: its a trash bat that breaks after 4 weeks
Pros: no vibration, pretty good pop, grip tape is decent, and good balance.
Cons: It feels like the two piece is shifting at the top of my swing. could be normal because pop doesn't seem to be effected. We'll see.
Pros: Bat has very good pop. Well balanced. Bat performs great until it breaks. Great warranty response on the first bat replaced.
Cons: First Bat busted in two months. Replacement bat busted in two months. Very expensive bat to only last two months each time. The bat lasted 22 games. Which roughly calculated to $5 per at bat. This is in the South Georgia heat. Definitely would not last in colder weather. Better more reliable options available. Warranty from Rawlings was rude when I asked if they could discount the purchase of a replacement bat.
Pros: Good Look.
Cons: I play travel baseball at a high level and this bat is nothing like bats I have used in the past! This bat was advertised/rated to have maximum "pop" (or a "trampoline effect") as compared to other bats on the market. However, these ratings couldn't be farther fron the truth. This bat hits with a dull thud and the baseball doesn't travel nearly at the EV or distance compared to other bats I have used (i.e. the 2018 version or the Velo). They obviously did something in the manufacturing process that sacrificed the bats pop and overall quality. I would recommend the VELO Hybrid instead....must cheaper, greater pop, and more durable.
Pros: Light balanced swing
Cons: Feel flex when stopping swing.
Pros: Love the feel of this bat and the pop is incredible! Looking forward to using this bat this fall and next spring. Bumping up to the big field. (13u)
Cons: None
Pros: I play at numerous high levels of baseball this bat it what i look for in a quality metal bat im committed to UF. Believe me this bat is underrated
Cons: n/a
Pros: Bat has a lot of pop, my son is a sophomore in high school and wanted to try a composite bat...he loves the way it feels in his hands!!!
Cons: Bat is top heavy but he has no other complaints
Pros: The Quatro has an insane amount of pop. The ball seems to fly off of the bat. There is pretty much no vibration, even if you hit it on the endcap or handle. The bat is very balanced with it's weight and has a very large sweet spot. Perfect for pretty much any hitter. One of the most explosive bats on the market and provides you with a constant felling of quality.
Cons: Durability is a problem within the Quatro series. Although I love my Quatro and it has served me well it has lost most of it's pop within less than a year of using it. They are notorious of breaking, however they do come with warranties (most of them) so take that how you wish. For a long term bat, this may not be the best choice but for the short term it might one of the best bats on the market.
Pros: fair cost but not durable
Cons: My son had two separate. He's 5'5" and didn't hit anything but baseballs. Manufacture warrantied the 1st broken one but not the second. I won't buy another two piece from Rawlings, sorry.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Small break in process
Pros: Great pop.
Cons: Short lifespan I bought this bat it broke after 2 months. They sent a replacement it broke IN HALF AND THEY sent me another replacement but of a 2020 Quattro then it broke at the handle and the end cap cane off. For that replacement they send a Rawlings velo which is no where the same price as the Quattro pro.
Pros: Great bat
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Great feel, love the balance, great sweat spot.
Cons: I am on my 3rd one of these in less than a year! First one, the 2 pieces in the middle separated. Second one, arrived broken -- dead, I figured it had to be broken in until someone told me it just did not sound right. Now the most recent one (4 months of hitting) the pin that keeps the knob in the handle keeps backing out -- it is truly like having a sharp nail in your palm.
Pros: There are none.
Cons: This bat was used for 1.5 years, and with one hit in the hand area the bat cracked in half. Yes literally cracked in two pieces and in half, There was no pop in this bat at all and i do not recommend you purchasing this bat.
Pros: We read that this 2019 bat ranked 2nd behind the Meta for performance and we bought it on a discount off Amazon. My son (14U) had 2-3 lessons with the bat at Rebellion Baseball in Durham and in his first BBCOR tournament, he hit one out at 300 feet. He loves this bat! Disclaimer for new BBCOR parents: BBCOR drop 3 standards are less forgiving than drop 5 and drop 10 bats so don’t expect your player to perform if they aren’t practicing and getting used to the BBCOR standard.
Cons: None. Quality bat. Good Neon Green Stripes too!
Pros: Very light-swinging and balanced.
Cons: We got this bat in July and it is now halfway through October and I am mailing it in because the barrel separated from the handle inside. My son says the barrel feels like it is sliding up when he swings. While boxing it up, I happened to measure the bat and found it is also a 1/2” short.
Pros: Everything was god the speed the power overall amazing bat
Cons: The grip
Pros: Great pop and little to no vibration. Light swing weight and looks slick.
Cons: Barrel started cracking after 3 years of heavy use which is expected with any 2 piece bat.

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
