Pros: This bat feels amazing in your hands. It helps you get through the zone quicker. This bat is best for your power hitters and also contact hitter. The best of both worlds.

Cons: Since this bat had a slight endload, i went down a size but this bat feels so light that you might wanna get a bigger size. Also your going to have to clean the grip after every game but who cares.

Pros: I was skeptical on trying this because i LOVED my friend's Air. This bat has what i think the same pop, but with a little more weight at the end. If you have power, this is the bat for you.

Cons: The grip wears down a tad quickly, but not a big difference.

Pros: Nice looks to it. When the ball hits the bat, it makes a nice sound. Works really well on/off the ball field. Has a comfortable grip. Good swing.

Cons: A bit heavy. This bat is more for the 60 and 90 foot fields. Takes a while to get around with the swing.

Would you recommend this bat over the white model? Is there any real difference? Devon
Both the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype and the RIP-IT Prototype 2 both feature the same Tempered Ballistic Alloy construction so will be comparable as far a pop off the bat. Here is a link to further compare the two bats. http://www.justbats.com/compare/

The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR will be more balanced than the Prototype II. The prices are determined by the manufacture. The main difference is the swing weight.
Kara
The 2012 had a lot of problems with the bat denting and the end caps coming off. I had personal experiences with it as a coach of an 18U baseball team. Has RIP-IT addressed either of these with the new model? Willyboy
The first batch of RIP-IT Prototype II BBCOR bats did have issues with the cap coming off and denting. RIP-IT has corrected these issues for a more durable RIP-IT Prototype.
Kara

Yes. Rip-It fixed the endcap issue on the Prototype halfway through production with the 2012 model. A bat with a damaged endcap will not have the same amount of pop or durability.

Besides price and color, how is this bat better than the 2012 Prototype II (white) bat? JorgeC
According to Rip-It their 2013 Prototype bats have a slightly larger sweetspot than the 2012 model, but with the same great pop.
Tyler
Which bat is better this one or the new rip-it prototype air? Joseph
That depends on the hitter. The Prototype Air has a lighter swing weight and would be great for a player with average to below average strength and swing speed. The regular Prototype has a slight endloaded feel and is better for a hitter with slightly above average to well above average strength and swing speed.
Tyler
Son is 15, 6'4" and 185 lbs and a power hitter. Is this bat better or should we consider the newer technology of the 2013 Prototype Air? He trains with MaxBat wood bats in the cage. Thanks. Parker
The only difference between the regular Rip-It Prototype and the Prototype Air, is that the Air is more well balanced with a lighter swing weight. If your son is a power hitter with good swing speed, the regular Rip-It Prototype would be a great choice.

MY SON IS MORE A CONTACT HITTER. HE IS 13YEARS OLD WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER RIP-IT FOR HIM? DJM
If he has above average strength and swing speed, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 is recommended. If he has average to below average strength and swing speed, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR AIR: B1303A is recommended due to its more balanced design.

Yes. The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 is a BBCOR certified bat.
Tyler
Does this bat have a better sweet spot with more pop than last year's prototype 2 bbcor? matt
The 2103 RIP-IT Protoype BBCOR is very similar to the 2012 RIP-IT Prototype II in terms of the sweet spot and pop. Both bats are power balanced, meaning that they'll have more weight shifted toward the barrel.
Marcus
How does the balance of the B1303 compare to a full size 243 or 43 model wooden bat, which will feel closer to the weight balance of the wooden bat the regular Rip It or the Air? Like to switch between the wood & one of the Rip It bats without feeling any change in balance. Tim
A wood 243 model will have a more end loaded feel due to the fact 243 models have a large barrel. The red Rip-It B1303 is going to have a closer weight balance to a 243 model and would be the correct choice for you. The Air model is a much more balanced bat and designed to increase a players swing speed.
Kara
What is the difference between this bat and the Prototype Air, and why is the price so different? Dylan
The RIP-IT Prototype Air is going to be a lot more balanced than the RIP-IT Prototype. This is going to cause the price to go up on the very balanced models.
Noah
If I am a power hitter would this bat be better for me than the Prototype AIR? Michael
Yes, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR will be better than the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR AIR because it will be less balanced, which is preferred by power hitters.
Noah
Is there a sizing chart available? My son used a 32" last year, and was wondering if he should move up to 33" this year? Mick
Yes. Here is a link to the page that has a bat sizing chart: http://www.justbats.com/bat-resource-guide/selecting-a-baseballbat/

Noah
How does the balance compare to the speed series lineup Easton has? Recommended for contact hitters? Nick
The 2013 RIP-IT Adult will be comparable to the Easton S3. They are both one-piece alloy bats. The Easton S1 and Easton S2 will be two-piece bats which will add more flex to the swing being even better for contact hitters.
Chad M.
I am a power hitter that can hit for contact what would you recommend, the RIP-IT Prototype Air or the RIP-IT Prototype? Powerzone
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult will be more for the power hitter. It will not feel as light as the RIP-IT Air and have a stiffer feel to it.
Chad M.
Why was this bat discontinued? MSanchez
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult was replaced by the 2014 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1403 Adult. Both models use the same R1 alloy and have a slightly end loaded feel.

The RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1303) will compare extremely well in all categories when compared to the RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (PROBR). It may have a slight bit better durability but the performance and feel should be similar.
