XL Series: Senior League Transcript

Hey, I'm Dave. I'm going to talk about one of Easton's newest series of Senior League Bats, the XL Series. Not all players produce power at the plate the same way. Some generate power by swinging an extended end-loaded bat while others produce power with a lighter, more balanced bat. So Easton developed two series to give every type of hitter power potential - the Speed Series and the XL Series. The Speed Series caters to players who prefer a light balanced bat. The XL Series is meant for power hitters who prefer a slight end-load and a longer barrel.Let's focus on the XL Series. All three bats in this series feature a slight end-load and an extended barrel. These bats are definitely made for stronger players who can keep the bat level through the zone despite its weight and size. Another unique feature on the XL Series is the sweetspot because it's ginormous. The extra long barrel design gives players expanded hitting zones at more mass in the barrel which ultimately generates a lot of power in every swing.Like I mentioned before there are three Senior League Bats in the XL Series. All of these bats feature a USSSA 1.15 stamp and are legal for use in 2012. There are some differences though between each bat in the series so I'm going to break it down for you.The XL1 is very comparable to the Easton Omens of the past. Like the Omen the XL1 features a two-piece full composite design. Easton also incorporated their state-of-the-art IMX composite to give this bat amazing pop. The XL1 is made in a minus eight and a minus five length to weight ratio. The XL2 is very similar to the Easton Surges of the past. The two-piece hybrid design features a composite handle and an alloy barrel. This aluminum barrel provides superior dent and crack resistance and it will be game-ready once it arrives at your doorstep. The XL3 is comparable with the Rivals of the past and features a one-piece all-alloy design which makes for a very durable bat. The alloy barrel is also great because it doesn't require a break-in period and you'll notice the pop immediately out of the wrapper. The XL3 is made in a minus nine and a minus five length to weight ratio. As a senior league coach I can confidently say that the XL Series is going to give you the edge over the competition. Easton put a lot of science and technology into these bats so every type of hitter can go up to the plate with a bat that will generate power. The XL Series is a great choice for senior league players. You can't go wrong with any of them.So check out the XL1, XL2, and XL3 at JustBats.com and remember from click to hit.
