Description

There are 3 constants when it comes to slow pitch players and their bats. They want a bat that's hot out of the wrapper, they're always looking for the next best thing, and they prefer either a balanced or end-loaded design. Raw Power is Easton's answer. The Raw Power line features the B-Series that offers evenly balanced designs for controlled power, and the L-Series that offers end-loaded designs for absolute maximum power. Part of the L-Series, the LX.0 has a specific end-load weight called out at the end of its 12 inch barrel: 26oz = 1oz load, 27oz = 2oz load, 28oz = 3oz load. The LX.0 features Easton's Single System Composite Design and is made entirely from Easton's trademark IMX Composite. IMX provides the LX.0 an optimal sweet spot and maximum performance, right out of the wrapper. The handle is wrapped with an ultra-thin gauze grip that is perfect for players that like tack without the bulkiness of many modern grips. The time is now to bring Raw Power to YOUR game. Easton: Engineered for Glory! The LX.0 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

One heck of a bat! Petersilva71 player

Pros: - Right out of the package hit like it had 200 cuts on it already -looks great By the time it was broken in I was blasting shots over the fence and I usually dont hit for power

Cons: The gauze grip tears your hands up a little bit but if you wear gloves its great! Its a little tacky and sticks to the gloves great.

Bombs Right Away Chris player

Pros: Hot right out of the wrapper. First time ever swung and it was a 330' bomb.

Cons: If you're not used to the 2oz. end-load it might br hard to get around on the ball and pull it.

Not as good as I expected Colin player

Pros: Grip is great with gloves, and its a good looking bat.

Cons: grip will tear up bare hands, mediocre pop even after 500 hits on it, seems to chip easily.

Not Impressed Yet JJewel 5 player

Pros: This bat looks impressive on the outside. Love the colors. It's light, and women on my to team were excited to use it. They have tried but only one uses it.So far Not very successful getting a great hit off it. I bought it because of the great reviews. I,ll give it a little more time.

Cons: Out of the wrapper ready not true. It hits the ball hard but a lot of effort is needed to get the ball far. It's still new so I am hoping that more swings and hits will make it a better bat. We will see . I will keep you up to date on it

Pretty Good Bat for the price Mark G player

Pros: This is nice looking bat. It's approved for ASA and USSSA. It's a little stiff at first. But once I started to get some cuts on to it, it was getting some good pop. Took about 150-200 hits to open up. Pretty solid, feels solid. Just doesn't have that extra wow pop that some other bats have. But for the price, it's a great buy.

Cons: The grip is terrible. I replaced it with a blue Lizard Skin wrap. Now it looks and feels awesome!

Not what I was expecting from an Easton Anthony player

Pros: Looks good. Has some pop.

Cons: A little too end loaded for my preference. I'm already in the market for a new bat. Plus I had to re-tape it due to the original tape tearing up batting gloves.

D ROCK

Pros: GETTING HOTTER AFTER 100 HITS. GOOD POP IF YOU HIT THE SWEET SPOT. VERY SMOOTH SWING AND BALANCED FEEL. SUPER EASY TO GO OPPOSITE FIELD. WILL RE-REVIEW AFTER FULLY BROKEN IN

Cons: NOT HOT OUT OF THE WRAPPER SO DONT EXPECT IT. TYPICAL EASTON, LONG BREAK IN. SWEET SPOT IS SMALL AND IF U MISS IT THIS BAT WILL RATTLE YOUR HANDS HARD! DOESNT FEEL ENDLOADED AT ALL, DEF NOT 3OZ WORTH.

Good Bat Rank player

Pros: Good pop out of the wrapper and held up great for tournaments. Feels lighter than the actual weight listed on the bat. Solid bat.

Cons: Hot out of the wrapper not entirely true mine didn't open up until after 280 cuts. Not a fan of the gauze grip. Does tend to scratch fairly easily though.

Kara
Is this bat designed for .52 core softballs? TheNatural
The 2014 Easton LX.0 (SP14LX) features both USSSA and ASA approval so it would be good for use with the balls used in those leagues. ASA now uses the .52 core 300 compression balls and USSSA uses either the Classic M .40 core 325 compression or the Classic M Plus .52 core 275 compression balls. The LX.0 will be good with any of those designs.
Patrick
My ASA league is still using the .44 cor/375 compression ball. How will this bat perform with that ball? sk
The 2014 Easton LX.0 (SP14LX) is more intended to be used with a softer ball like the new .52 core balls. As far as performance goes it will hit the .44 core balls extremely well but will have durability issues with the harder balls.
Patrick
Is there a balanced design for this bat? keith
The 2014 Easton LX.0 (SP14LX) is unique in that is a one-piece composite design and certified for both leagues. Easton would have the B2.0 and the B4.0, both of which are balanced, one-piece composite bats, but are only rated for either USSSA or ASA.
Justin R.
Does this composite bat need to be broken in? Dom
Any time you are using a composite material, a break-in will be required. Generally, for the 2014 Easton LX.0: (SP14LX) we would suggest around 125-150 swings soft toss, or off of a tee. Also, make sure to turn the barrel a quarter of an inch after each swing to help loosen up the material all the way around the barrel.
Merritt
How does this compare to the original Easton Salvo (SRV5) from 2010ish? Graves
The 2014 Easton LX.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14LX) is very comparable to the SRV5 Salvo. They are both one-piece bats with IMX composite, and they both feature the ASA stamp and USSSA stamp. The big difference is the end load featured on the two bats. The Easton Salvo has a slight end load, while the L6.0 features an additional 1 ounce of end load for every ounce increase in weight. For example: 26 oz bat has a 1 ounce end load, and at 27 oz bat has a 2 oz end load.
Jason
If I was to get this bat and I normally swing a 28 oz. bat, which bat weight should I get? Derrell
I would still use the 28 oz. size in the 2014 Easton LX.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14LX). It will not feel too end loaded or anything.
Brandon
How does this bat compare to the 2013 easton xl2 bat? Jordan
The Easton LX.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14LX) is not the official replacement of the discontinued Easton XL2 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP13X2), however it is the most similar model currently available. Both bats featured a one piece full composite design with a slightly end-loaded swing weight. Additionally, both models have a 12 inch barrel with a 29/32 inch handle as well as Easton's IMX composite construction.
Joe
How does this bat compare to the Synergy Flex? matt
The Easton LX.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14LX) will have a slight more of an end loaded feel to it. Also, the grip will be more thin. The pop and performance should be very similar.
Brandon
Where can I find one of these discontinued bats or an updated one? Andres
To locate the Easton LX.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP14LX, one would need to search 3rd party sellers of used bats. The Easton Ronin Flex 12" Loaded Dual Stamp Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP21FR1 is the most comparable model now being made by Easton.
