Fantastic Customer Service from Rip-It Dave coach

Pros: Just got the bat and really liking the feel so far. Haven't had time evaluate it fully yet but wanted to get a comment out there as to how impressed I am dealing with Rip-It on this bat. My kids -5 bat arrived in Calgary, Canada quickly after order. I ended up with a small issue with the grip after taking the plastic wrap off the knob and handle. Sometime being up in Canada makes dealing with these kinds of issued much more difficult and frustrating. On this one I dealt with Rip-It directly and they have fixed the issue have done even better than I had hoped they would on it and very quickly too. I'm so happy with the service I received I'm about to order up a -8 version as well for my younger one. I will come back and rate the bat fully after some more use.

We have owned several Rip-It bats, BBCOR and Youth Big Barrel and have loved them all. The only problem with both types is the end cap pops off or cracks. Have they solved this problem yet? Rip It always replaced promptly no questions asked. Fitter

RIP-IT continuously tries to improve on their design. Several improvements to the durability and feel of the 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1505) have been made but they have not come out with information on any widespread issues with the end cap.

RIP-IT actually made the call to reduce all of their 2015 product lines recently and gave that authorization to all of their authorized dealers. You'll likely see them at this price elsewhere now, too. They have informed us they were able to improve production capabilities, which reduces costs and the price for customers.

My son has been using the Easton MAKO. I understand that the CAT 6 barrel balance is similar. How does this RIP-IT compare? Is it more end loaded like the Voodoo OVERLORD or the CAT 6? David

The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1505) will feel more like the Marucci CAT 6 bat. It is a very balanced model with a light swing weight.

Both the 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1505) and the 2015 Easton XL1 Senior League -5 Baseball Bat (SL15X15) are nice options. The major difference would be what style you prefer rather than one being outright better than the other. The AIR is a single-piece balanced alloy model. The XL! is a two-piece composite design with a more end-loaded swing weight.

Does the Rip-It B1505 require a break-in? Is there a temperature recommendation for this bat? Sue

The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1505) is an alloy barrel bat so it would not require a break-in process. We recommend using most of the bats we sell in weather above 55 degrees. Below that point, the ball can condense and become harder which can lead to damage to the bat.

How does the barrel size compare to the XL3 in a drop 5? bmh

The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1505) will feature the same 2 5/8" barrel diameter as the 2015 Easton XL3 Senior League -5 Baseball Bat (SL15X35). The barrel tapers on the bats will be slightly different, however this is artificially accentuated by the white and orange color scheme on the XL3. Both bats will have a similar size sweet spot, however the XL3 will be much more end loaded.

Looking for swing weight or MOI comparison between the 2015 Rip-It Air -5 and 2015 Rawlings Velo -5. Any other comparison between the two bats would be appreciated. Coach D

The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1505) and the 2015 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBRVB) are very similar in terms of design. The VELO will have a bit more balanced of a feel for a slightly lighter swing weight but it would be fairly close. Most players may not notice the difference.

Overtime the 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1505) will lose it's peak performance like any other bat whether it is alloy or composite.
