Omaha! Trusted forever. Coach Jack Nick parent
Pros: Balanced swing weight. As much pop as BPF 1.15 allows. Great design and artwork. My 12U son is a contact hitter with occasional power, and this bat seems to be doing the trick. As long as he's hitting, he's happy. And, you can't go wrong with the 30 day satisfaction guarantee!
Cons: A little more vibration than my son would prefer . . . but not too much.
2015 louisville slugger 515 Noah player
Pros: this bat is great! i am a 12u travel ball player and it hits great. I think this is the best bat LS has ever made. #justbats
Cons: none
Great Bat, but... Fred - Parent/coach coach
Pros: Well balanced and easy to swing. Great graphics. Has some good pop. Being a one piece bat, no complaints about vibration
Cons: My son who plays 12U and is the team's power hitter, dented the bat after 7 at bats?!?!?! The paint also chipped easily on the handle knob. Sent the bat back to Louisville Slugger and got a new one within a week. Will try it out again...hopefully this one will last longer.
louisville omaha 515 naef carver parent
Pros: Best bat for the money I've ever bought. Mako move over. Louisville slugger hit a homerun with this one. Great pop and easy to swing. Loved it so much just bought my nine year old a 515 in 2 1/4 also. Great job!!
Cons: I didn't have one when I played.
No Pop Fred - Parent/coach coach
Pros: Nice looking bat, evenly balanced, great feel, solid aluminum construction
Cons: As a followup to my previous review, my son has gotten several hundred swings in on this bat and unfortunately I am sorry to say that he no longer likes it. He said it has significantly less pop then his previous 2012 Omaha bat. I would agree with his feelings. The place where we go for batting practice has a radar. With his 2012 Omaha, he would consistently hit the ball off his bat over 70 mph. With this bat, he has only obtained 70 mph once. I would expect him to be hitting it harder since he has grown and has taken lessons to improve his swing. This has not been the case.
Very Good Bat Scott parent
Pros: POP!!! Also great grip and well balanced. Nice paint job too! My 9 year old loves his 29/19.
Cons: N/A

Louisville Slugger Omaha 515 Gage player
Pros: This bat has good feel and great pop. I went from a 28/18 Louisville Slugger TPX to this 29/19 Louisville Slugger so I was a little concerned but after just two game and I adjusted quite well with two home runs.
Cons: None
new purchase for all stars harmon coach
Pros: nice grip, balanced swing, durable at the coach pitch level, Louisville Slugger generally has more durable, longer lasting bats
Cons: the ball will not fly off the bat as well as i expected, seems like the walls are too thick, one of the earlier posts mentioned dents, but in kid pitch nearly all aluminum bats will dent..... the trade off is durability vs pop until you decide to go composite-then you can get both
louisville slugger omaha 515 callaway stix baseball player
Pros: Everything
Cons: None just it took a while to break in because my easton s3 broke in the first day
awesome jeff player
Pros: first time I used this bat hit a home run
Cons: none
Great bat! M. P. parent
Pros: I got the 30/20 for my son and had to exchanged to for 28/18. My son loves this bat. At Sunday's game I must have seen 4 or 5 kids altogether using either the 15 or 16. It has great pop and it looks great. During the 3 days it took for the exchange bat with new size to be delivered he had to use other kids bats and boy we both could tell the difference. Really, really, great bat! Oh, it also looks great.
Cons: None
Nice bat for the price Juan other
Pros: I bought this for my 8 yr old grandson. At first he struggled with it because it is 2 inches longer and 4 ounces heavier than his old bat. But I can see he's starting to get used to it. His hits have a lot more "pop" and velocity off the bat. A couple of other kids on his team are using his bat as well because they like the way it feels.
Cons: None so far.
Excellent bat. James Crawford parent
Pros: Bought this bat for my grandson who will turn 9 next month. He likes the feel and especially the lack of vibration he experiences while hitting. Seems to be an excellent buy for the money . Shipping was fast and arrived in excellent condition.
Cons: None
Son loves it. kpp parent
Pros: We have bought Easton, De Marini, and Louisville slugger brands. We son loved the Easton S3. We bought this bat to try something new and it is as good if not better than the S3.
Cons: A little vibration if hit below the sweet spot.
Travel team proven Travel Dad parent
Pros: Extremely balanced weighting. Large sweet spot Great pop Durable If your looking for great all around bat this is it. My sons travel team has several kids that have wide range and variety of bats. My son got this bat late in 2014 around Christmas. He has hit combat, demarinni's, Easton's and several others.. None match the combined balance, feel, and pop of this bat. He is still hitting same bat and now 1/2 of his team members have purchased the same bat and others are picking up bat and using instead of their own if they do not have it. The running joke is Louisville slugger ought to be sponsoring this team. To me all key things you look for in your kids bat in competitive ball this bat hits all the marks.
Cons: None
This is the best bat ever Bradon G. player
Pros: I play for a 12u travel team and my bat cracked which I usally use the mako but I wanted to try a new bat so I got this one and I love it! Great pop,Grip is nice, durable, and the bat has great look.
Cons: None
Great Bat owen player
Pros: I used this bat one time and I hit the fence. The next at-bat I hit it over the fence. This bat has amazing pop and gets through the zone really quickly.
Cons: I've used this bat 3 times, and haven't had one problem. It even looks cool!
great bat joey player
Pros: tons of pop even weight light
Cons: have to get the balls after i hit dingers
Omaha Omaha player
Pros: Light swinging and stiff feeling
Cons: hard to make contact
Good bat but hurt my hand Richard Sanders player
Pros: Amazing pop and a good feel
Cons: It stung my hand at most at bats
Dents WAY too easily Mitch parent
Pros: Good pop, balanced
Cons: Dents WAY too easily. Bought a 30/20 for my 12U player and a 31/21 for my 13U player. Less than five games into the season, both bats had multiple dents. I bought a second 31/21 because the original one was in the worst shape, and it dented in the first game it was used. It's too bad; if not for the complete lack of durability, this would be a great bat.
yeet Dylan Yeet player
Pros: This bat was very good has lots of pop in barrel lit fam like I saud before
Cons: the grip tape is bad so I retap wit lizaed skin

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
