Description

The Slow Pitch scene has found its next innovation with the Easton MAKO TORQ Slow Pitch Softball Bat! TCT Thermo Composite Technology is the key to the MAKO TORQ's massive sweet spot, and pure feel on contact. This advanced material is found in the barrel and is united with a stiff, SIC Black Carbon Composite handle by Easton's patented 2-PC ConneXion (CXN) Technology. By isolating the handle from the barrel with this connection joint, energy transfer is maximized while simultaneously eliminating any unwanted vibration. Just like the bat that Easton Slow Pitch slugger Brian Wegman takes to the plate, this SP15MLA features a progressive loading system at the end of its 12 Inch Barrel (26 oz = 1 oz Load, 27 oz = 2 oz Load, 28 oz = 3 oz Load). That construction alone would be enough for most, but the team at Easton has taken this design to a whole new level with the inclusion of the TORQ 360 Degree Rotating Handle Technology. Here's what you can expect:

Own The Inner Half: The TORQ Handle frees up your hands, allowing hitters to barrel-up the inside pitch while reaching full extension.

Stay Inside The Ball: By getting your hands inside the ball, the TORQ promotes the best swing mechanics for more consistent, powerful contact.

Power To All Fields: TORQ Technology helps you keep the barrel on-plane longer through the hitting zone, so you can drive the ball with more backspin (to all parts of the yard).

The Easton MAKO TORQ Helmer Loaded ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP15MLA is approved for play in ASA and ISF. It is also backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Mako Torq Elijah Williams player

Pros: It is good because the handle rotation is good because you can stay in the zone longer and instead of you rolling your wrist it rolls it for you so you want hit a weak grounder or a weak pop up.

Cons: For your cons I say it's the samething to it because if you put the bat to the ball you will get a sweet hit ou of it and that is why you need the mako torq

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton MAKO TORQ Helmer Loaded ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP15MLA? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this bat double wall or single wall? And what type of compression balls can you hit with this? mondo
The 2015 Easton Mako Torq Helmer Loaded ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP15MLA) features a two-piece full composite design. The composite construction is best thought of as layers of composite, that after being broken in will be more similar to a single wall design. The newest ASA bats are designed to hit the new .52 COR 300 Compression balls.
Joe
I have an Easton L6.0 End load and B3.0 Balanced. I play senior ball and we use mostly .44 core 375 balls. How will this bat stand up? What would be the best bat for me? Tuffy
The .44 core 375 compression balls are the old ASA model balls. While these newer bats like the 2015 Easton Mako Torq Helmer Loaded ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP15MLA) can hit the old ASA balls, they will have durability issues and can be damaged quickly. They are better suited for the new .52 core 300 compression model balls. Only old (2004 or earlier) stamped ASA bats would be durable with those balls.
