Description

It's never too early to start crushing the ball! For the younger players that are taking their game seriously, DeMarini introduces their lightest CF7 of the season - the DXCFS. The CF7 series has been among the most popular bats on the softball field over the past several seasons. This year's CF7 is the hottest composite fastpitch bat out of the wrapper that DeMarini has ever produced. That's due to the all new Paradox Composite barrel and D-Fusion handle on this two-piece design. Paradox Composite makes the barrel stronger, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot and consistently more powerful swings! The D-Fusion handle eliminates vibrations and redirects energy back into the barrel creating not only an incredible feel, but more POP! The D-Fusion handle also opens up a better sound on all hits across the barrel. The CF7 features Stacked Double Wall Construction that creates a trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for completely optimized performance. At the end of the barrel, the end cap provides optimal barrel compression and maximizes the sweet spot. If you're at the top of your game and demand the absolute best, it's the CF7 or nothing! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The CF7 WTDXCFS is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

AWESOME BAT 10U FASTPITCH COACH coach

Pros: WE RECEIVED THIS BAT LAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND TOOK IT TO THE PARK FOR OUR FRIDAY NIGHT TOURNAMENT GAME. FRESH OUT OF THE WRAPPER THE FIRST GAME NETTED 2 TRIPLES AND 4 DOUBLES WITH 3 KIDS USING THE BAT. THE NEXT DAY FIRST GAME OUT OF THE PARK HOME RUN A COUPLE MORE TRIPLES AND MORE DOUBLES THAN YOU CAN COUNT. BY THE END OF THE WEEKEND THE WHOLE TEAM WANTED TO USE IT. UNBELIEVABLE POP AND NOT EVEN BROKEN IN YET.

Cons: NONE.

do not buy. junk! 01softballplayer01 player

Pros: lightweight good looking

Cons: no pop. doesn't hit far. stings your hands everytime you hit. I bought this bat to use for my school softball team. I have the Demarini CF5 and I love it! I figured since the Demarini CF7 is so much newer and everyone was saying it was such a great bat, I decided to buy it. When I got it, it looked awesome! Don't get me wrong the bat is really cool looking. But when I hit with it, everytime I hit the ball it stung my hands. Its very lightweight but the bat has absolutely no pop!!! I definitely prefer the CF5 over the CF7. If youre debating on which Demarini to get, DO NOT GET THE CF7. Get the CF5.

Loving this bat Jessica parent

Pros: Purchased this bat for my daughter to use in 8U softball. She had been swinging a 28 inch CF5 & needed to upgrade. As soon as the bat arrived she went outside & started swinging. We immediately noticed a nice pop. She loves this bat & she can't wait to use in in our next tournament. She is a tiny girl & the balls were just popping off the bat!! I highly recommend this bat!

More pop than I expected Ben parent

Pros: I was skeptical about how much distance my daughter would get using the bat because of the 11 drop. Hit a double and parked one in first game. She loves it so far. Light weight, larger hitting surface thats great for contact.

Cons: Im afraid my daughter will have to graduate to the 10 drop very quickly.

Pros: My daughter has used this bat for four games now after cracking her CF6 sprite on a very cold day! that was clearly my fault! We both see a huge difference from the the CF6! She also has the 2014 Xeno and the new CF7 out performs it by miles! The new CF7 actually feels lighter than what it is which allows very fast bat speed! I cant say enough about this bat! My very petite 11 year old moved from the minors to the majors this year! and i was terrified she would struggle with the pitching speed, but this bat has gave her the confidence to be one of the best hitters on the team.

Cons: none so far!

Nice Sweet Spot but.... Shawn coach

Pros: I like the bat because it comes in pretty much every length and weight option you can think of. It's hard to find a good quality bat that the smaller kids can use in 10U and below. A kid on my team recently got this bat and I decided to use it to hit ground a fly balls to the fielders to see how it felt. the bat feels pretty nice in the hand, good balance and nice grip. The real pro on it is that if you hit the ball with the sweet spot it will fly. No question about that, I hit the ball multiple times and thought to myself "dang, this thing has some great pop". I also think the graphics are pretty nice.

Cons: I noticed that if you miss the sweet spot the bat has some serious vibration issues in the barrel connection down through the handle. It literally rattles the bat. I would not expect that from a bat with a high end price tag on it. I'm not sure how this will affect durability but I have to assume that all that vibration cant be good for it. The one last thing I cant stand (this is definitely subjective to personal opinion) is that rubber spider web thing DeMarini is putting on the bat handles. I think it looks bad and I suspect its their attempt to shortcut a way to try and dampen vibrations in these bats instead of addressing the problem where it lies.

Don't think about it, Buy It! JBP parent

Pros: My daughter plays 8U and she has been using this bat for about 3 weeks. It was time to step her up to another bat and the reviews and suggestions lead me to this bat. This has taken her hitting to the next level. She is the lead off batter and is going to make contact. This bat has added yards to her hitting distance. Singles and doubles are now triples and in the park home runs. Don't think about it, Buy It!

Pros: We just received the bat that my daughter uses for her 8u travel team. Bat has good pop. The sound is not typical of other DeMarini's that my son hits. She loves the look and feel and has been very confident swinging the bat. I've seen her fly a 120'+ bomb all in the air. Not bad for a 8 yr old.

Cons: Bat is pricey.

Great Bat! 04softballdad parent

Pros: Purchased this bat for my 9 y/o dayghter a couple of weeks ago to use for the fall season. My dad always said growing up "If you can hit it dont matter what bat you got in your hand!" well this bat has proven him wrong! Balls that were barely making ot out of the infield are now hitting the fence. We played our first tournament this weekend and 4 kids on the team used this bat to hit a combined 4 homeruns 6 tripples and 10 doubles. The ball just screams off the bat! It has brought a new level of confidence to this entire team! Could not be more pleased!

Wow Karen parent

Pros: My daughter used this bat at a tournament for the 1st time last weekend. She has never hit with so much power. She is a 12U, under 5 ft and less than 95 lbs and consistently hit the ball to the outfield going 7 for 11 at the plate. She's always been good at making contact but it seems this bat is helping her get the little extra power she needs.

Cons: None yet! Don't know about durability yet... bat is too new.

Pros: The bat is hot right out of the wrapper! I bought this for my my 7 year old who was swinging a syngery and first time she hit with it I could tell it has some serious pop. The ball jumps right off the bat, she's a smaller kid on the team but is killing the ball with it. I'd recommend to anyone for sure!

Pros: shear pop!! this bat will make officials consider making composite bats illegal. I am a coach and i have also played ball at a high lever for a long time. This bat os like nothing ive ever seen. If you know the game amd know what you want fron a bat. You want this bat for 10u and under. Bottom line is this bat should be illegal. But its not. It will be eventually. Great bat and Uve only had it for a week.

Pros: bought this bat for my 10 year old about a month ago. she always made good contact with her Easton bat but never could hit the ball consistantly outfield. not only is she crushing the ball but the ball pops off her bat so fast that she hit a homerun out of the park clearing the fence by at least 40 yards!!! the best investment ever. shes had every Easton bat made. nothing compares. 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCF Michael parent

Pros: Bought this for my 7 year old. She had borrowed a CF6 to see if she liked the feel. With in about 5 to 6 hits, she said, "I have to have this bat". I could not find the CF6 so I decided to go with the CF7. Yesterday was the first day we went out & hit. She really liked the feel, the "pop". I tend to pitch inside to her. She hit a few off the handle & it did not hurt her hands. The bat seems balanced well & she had no problem getting the bat through the zone. This bat has a lot of "pop" right out of the wrapper. Hopefully, it will continue to get hotter & hotter. As of right now, I highly recommend this bat... She loves it.

Cons: Non as of yet.

Great bat Doug coach

Pros: Ordered this bat last Wednesday and it arrived on Thursday. My 12 yr old hit it this past weekend. She went 8-11 with an inside the park homerun, 3 triples, a double and 3 singles. She hit one that one hopped a 200ft fence. This bat is terrific! She swung the CF6 last year and loved it. This one has just as much pop as the CF6.

Great performance, poor endurance Tanya Smith parent

Pros: The bat is great, right from start.

Cons: I have two of the same bats, different sizes for my two daughters...age 10 and 7. I have had to replace them, between the two, 4 times now! We take very good care of our bats, we don't use them in a batting cage, they aren't allowed to be thrown around or stepped on. I have no idea why they continue to shatter. Demarini has been very good so far to replace them, but it is very inconvenient.

Pros: The pop is outstanding. My daughter plays 8U and bats leadoff. She is small. Best performing bat I've seen! Mark Struve coach

Pros: Clean lines, good balance, and serious sweet spot kick. I've been coaching U10/U12 for 4 years now. All the girls are bringing in $$$ like DeMarini, LS, Easton etc.. This is the one bat that seems to truly make the difference between a dying drive for a single or double, or a drive to the fence for a triple or homer. You will not be disappointed.

Cons: Like any bat, it doesn't swing itself.

Absolutely no pop Travel softball coach coach

Pros: Not much good to say

Cons: My daughter used this bat for travel softball. She complained of the vibration in the bat, and when she made hard contact, the bat just sounded dead. The ball would not pop at all off the bat. We used a Xeno in practice with MUCH better results. She was tattooing the ball then. Several girls switched from the C7 to the Zeno with much better results and much better travel out of the ball. I think the C7 is just behind in the game compared to their competition in composite bats

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is the difference between the DeMarini CF7 and the DeMarini CF6? bobbi
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) will have the new D-Fusion handle that eliminates vibration and redirects energy back into the barrel creating better feel. The new CF7 bats also have a larger sweet spot and are more forgiving across the barrel.
Kelby
Does this bat have the 30day refund policy on it Mo
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) does not have a 30 day refund policy.
Kyle
Like in baseball, is a 2-piece fast pitch bat more for the contact hitters than a power hitter? My daughter is 4' 9" tall, weighs 95 lbs., is a power hitter and plays 8/9/10U. So my concern is will the 2 piece bat flex too much for her? Mike C
The two-piece design of the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) is best for a contact hitter. However, a good alternative would be an end loaded, two-piece bat such as the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI).
Kara
What is the difference in this bat and the CF7 dxcfp? outlaw
The difference between the 2015 DeMarini CF7(DXCFS) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) is that the 2015 DeMarini CF7(DXCFS) has a -11 drop weight while the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) has a -10 drop weight. The 2015 DeMarini CF7(DXCFS) will be the lighter bat out of the two.
Kyle
I just ordered this bat in the wrong length and weight, as soon as it gets here can I ship it back and get the right size? confused customer
If you ordered the wrong size in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) you can go to www.justbats.com/return. Once you complete the exchange form that will email you a free shipping label to ship back to us through UPS.
Zach
Can I use this bat in the cages with yellow dimpled balls? IS there a breaking in period? New CF7 Owner
With using the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) we don't recommend using the yellow dimpled balls. Use regular softballs. Yes there is a break in time. You need to hit 100 to 200 softballs either off the tee or soft toss.
Kyle
Other than price, what are the differences (both physical and performance) in the 2014 CF6: DXCFS and the 2015 CF7: DXCFS? Rookie
The he 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) will have the new D-Fusion handle that eliminates vibration and redirects energy back into the barrel creating better feel. The new CF7 bats also have a larger sweet spot and have more of a hot out of the wrapper performance.
Kara
When will the 2015 DeMarini CF7: DXCFS Fastpitch be available in a 32" 21 oz.? Don
At this time, we do not have an estimated delivery date for the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS). We will notify you when the item is available.
Kara
What is the difference between the DeMarini CF7 and the CF6? I saw the other answer about the D-Fusion, but I thought the CF6 had that also. STACEY
Only the CF6 Insane (DXCFI) featured the D-Fusion handle that can be found on all of the CF7 models; including this 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) Fastpitch bat. That D-Fusion handle technology would be the difference between the 2014 and 2015 (DXCFS) models.
Mac
Is this a end loaded bat? Jworth72
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is a balanced bat.
Sean
My daughter is 6 years old, almost 7. She weigh 55 pounds. I like this bat but will it be right for her? kk
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is a nice lightweight option that could work well for a younger player. The important thing is to get her the right size based on both her height and weight.
Patrick
Daughter is 11 yrs old, 4'11"and weighs 85 lbs. She is a contact hitter. Right now, she uses a 30" 18 oz. She has done great with it hitting around .500 in very competitive travel ball. I want to get her a new bat for 12u ball next year. I am thinking about a 30" -11 or a 31" -12. I saw the CF7 and liked it. What are your thoughts about it? Joe
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) features a -11 drop weight, which will be an ounce heavier than the -12 bat that she has used previously. The CF7 is a high performance model that features a two-piece design as well as a balanced swing weight, which is great for a contact hitter looking to work on bat speed and bat control. Generally, you want to swing the heaviest bat that you can comfortably and consistently control. So if she was able to do well with her -12 last year, going with a -11, like this CF7, would be a great option to check out.
Tessa
I've settled on getting a -11 bat for my daughter. I can't decide between 2015 versions of CF7, Easton FS1, or LS Xeno. Does one have any significant advantage over the others? NHCoach
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS), the Easton FS1 and the Louisville Slugger Xeno are all high performance models from their respective manufactures. They are all very similar to each other as well--all three models feature a balanced swing weight as well as a two-piece fully composite design, which are ideal specs for contact hitting. Ultimately, it will be a matter of brand preference.
Tessa
I am going into my first year of 16u. I have the CF6 right now but I need a new one. I'm thinking about this one would it be right for me? I'm going to be a freshman in high school and I do very competitive travel ball. I am about 5'2 115 lbs, what weight and length would you recommend? Courtney
Based on results from our Bat Coach (http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/), we recommend a 31" 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) for a player with your height and weight.
Sean
My daughter is 4'7" and 78 lbs. She will be moving up to a 12U traveling team. She currently uses an Easton -12, 29" 17 oz. What size of DeMarini CF7 do you recommend? Todd
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 30" 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS).
Tessa
I am thinking of purchasing this bat for my daughter and she is a contact-hitter. She has swung both the -10 and -11 bats in this model, but didn't notice a big difference. She is 11 years old, 5'4" and 97 lbs, but is currently using a CF5 31/20. I'm either thinking a CF7 32/21 or a 31/21. What size do you think would work best for her size and weight? Brian
Based on the player's approximate height and weight, I would probably suggest a 32" in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFS).
Merritt
What is the difference between this bat and the CF7 Insane? I am a power hitter and not sure which one to get. CollegeSoftball
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is designed with a balanced swing weight. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Insane (DXCFI) is designed with an end loaded swing weight. Players that hit for more power tend to prefer end loaded bats like the CF7 Insane, but either would be a great option.
Marcus
Is there a recommended ambiant temperature range that this bat should be used? Psupatr
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) should not be used in weather below 55 degrees. At that point, the core of the ball can condense and become harder making it harder than the product the bat is intended to hit which can lead to breakage.
Patrick
Is there anything new about the 2015 DXCFS than last years? dae dae
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) will feature a D-Fusion handle to help eliminate vibration on mishits to the players hands. The 2015 model will also be hotter out of the wrapper than the 2014 model.
Kelby
What is the difference between the CF6 -9 model and the CF7 -9 model? jenny
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat features the upgraded D-Fusion handle that eliminates vibration and transfers energy more efficiently on contact. Both bats are made from the same Paradox Composite, however.
Mac
My daughter is using a 31" 18oz. DeMarini Bustos bat. Looking to get her this composite bat but not sure what size. She's 8 years old, about 4'5" and about 64 lbs. krys
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 30" 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS). Sizing is preferential though, so since she is used to the 31" length, staying with a 31" model is something to take into consideration as well. Generally, you want to swing the longest bat that you can comfortably and consistently control.
Tessa
We have had this bat for almost 10 months, when will the new version come out? Ryan
DeMarini has not yet scheduled a release for a newer edition of the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS). The release of that bat will most likely not be until next year.
Patrick
My daughter is going to be 15 soon & will be moving up to 16U. She is about 5'3" 105 lbs. She was swinging a 31 -11, but I am thinking we should get a bigger bat. Thoughts? tomahawk
Based on her height and weight, our Bat Coach recommends a 32" 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS). Since she has previously used a 31" bat, moving her up to a 32" would be ideal for her. Generally, you want a player to swing the longest and heaviest bat that you can comfortably and consistently control. A longer bat will also give her further reach across the plate as well.
Tessa
My daughter is only 7. She is 4'6" and 75 lbs. She is pretty big for a 7 year old. I bought her a cheap bat at the beginning of spring, it was the Bustos. She made All Stars in he first year and was hitting the ball to the grass most of the time. Will the CF7 make a difference with the 8U ASA tournament balls? She is also playing select with the hard balls. I was just wondering if it would increase the distance on the softer ones? I think I should have bought the end loaded! #highwayrobbery
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) will help hit the softer and harder balls better when compared to the DeMarini Bustos. The CF7 will hold its high performance for a longer time period while having a larger sweet spot size. The CF7 Insane will be the end loaded version of the CF7. It will have more of a barrel heavy feel compared to the regular CF7.
Brandon
How many hits on a tee or soft toss is recommended to break this bat in? Tribal Alliance
We recommend around 150 swings off the tee or soft toss to break-in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball (DXCFS). Make sure you rotate the barrel about a quarter of an inch every 15 to 20 swings to fully break-in the barrel.
John
Is there any difference between this and CF6 -11 model? I heard there is no difference at all between the two besides the paint job. Would this bat be okay in cold weather? My sister is a very small 8 year old. She's still in coach pitch but she swings like shes 12. Would this be okay to use in the cold since it is coach pitch or is it still not safe? Maralamof
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) are similar in balance and performance but the 2015 model will have a different connection point. The 2015 model uses the D-Fusion handle which better protects against sting and vibration to the players hands and redirects energy to the barrel of the bat better than the previous models. We do not recommend using these bats in cold weather situations below 55 degrees. Below that temperature, the ball can condense and become harder which can damage the bat.
Patrick
Can you explain the differences between the 2015 DeMarini CF7 DXCFS and the Louisville Slugger LXT 2014 and 2015. (Other than the obvious difference that one is a -11 and the other is a -10). smashcoach
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) features a two-piece fully composite design as well as a balanced swing weight. It also features the D-Fusion handle, which helps to dampen vibration and sting as well as extend the sweet spot through the barrel. The 2014 and 2015 Louisville Slugger LXT features a three-piece design, which will allow for optimal flex on contact. This additional flex on contact can provide more of a whipping action and more pop off the bat. This can be a good thing if the player hits more for contact and has trouble generating her own bat speed. If she has great bat speed, the additional flex can cause loss of bat head control, so it is to her advantage to use a stiffer bat that takes advantage of the speed she can put on a bat. The LXT does feature the same balanced swing weight as the CF7, ultimately, the main differences are the the D-Fusion handle and a two-piece vs. a three-piece design.
Tessa
What does -11 mean? My daughter is almost 15 years old. She has a small height build. She is about 5 feet 4 inches tall. I just bought this bat but I see a lot of people reviewing and talking about their very young children. I am hoping this isn't a bat for an 8 year old only. Denise B
The -11 designation of the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is the drop weight or length to weight ratio. Basically it is a simple number that relates how heavy the bat feels to the player. The higher the number the lighter it is. Most bats for a player of that age will be a -10 or heavier but a -11 could be used, if allowed in their league, by a smaller player who would benefit from the lighter weight. This CF7 can be used by a wide range of ages though and would not only be for very young players.
Patrick
Is this bat recommended for slap hitters? Corey
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) will feature a two-piece full-composite design with an incredibly lightweight feel. Typically, we recommend two-piece bats for contact or gap hitters because of the bat's ability to flex through the zone; which can speed up some players swing speeds significantly.
Joe
What is the difference between the CF6 and CF7? cia
The main difference between 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) and the 2014 CF6 is the 2015 C7 has the D-Fusion Handle Technology. This helps to eliminate vibration when hitting.
Chinyere
How does this bat compare to the 2015 Louisville Slugger XENO? My daughter is 7. Ron
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) features a two-piece composite design offering DeMarini's Paradox composite. It does offer a balanced swing-weight and the D-Fusion handle does a fantastic job of absorbing any shock and vibration traveling through the bat. The 2015 Louisville Slugger XENO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPXN151) features a two-piece composite design with a balanced swing weight. In terms of performance and durability, both of these bats will be very similar, however the handle on the DeMarini does a better job of absorbing stingers. For a player of her age, you might want to consider a model that has a drop 12 or 13 length to weight ratio.
Joe
Will the CF7 bat have the same pop as the CF5? And will the -11 have the same performance of the -10? due
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is regulated by the same performance certification as the CF5, so we couldn't guarantee any difference in performance. The CF7 does eliminate vibration a bit better on off-center hits than the CF5 would because of the new D-Fusion Handle, so it could transfer a bit more of that energy to the ball. Comparing performance between a -10 and -11 bat is difficult because any performance difference you notice is caused by the player. The two models are also certified by the same performance standard, but the player likely swings the -11 bat differently than the -10. You want to balance swing speed with the heaviest bat the player can swing efficiently.
Mac
This seems to be a strange question and request, so bare with me. We have a adult coed league in my town. The ladies use normal slow pitch bats and hit 11" balls, while the guys MUST use a 28 oz. bat and hit the 12". We do use LC balls now. I need a composite bat to fill the role. The heavier the better, and end loaded if possible. Thanks for any and all help. Clint
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) would be certified for girls fastpitch softball leagues. It would not work for your league. You should try these: http://www.justbats.com/products/material~composite/softball%20bats~slow%20pitch/weight~28%20oz/?sortBy=TotalSales%20Descending&size=24 The new 2016 Louisville Slugger line of Z4000 bats have been getting great reviews. The Miken Izzy Psycho, and DeMarini Juggernaut are also two other great choices in your size with composite designs.
Brandon
What temperatures are the best to use this bat in? chris
Composite bats, such as the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS), tend to be much more sensitive to temperature than alloy bats. Many manufacturers have their own suggestions on minimum temperatures that their bats should be used in. However, as a rule of thumb, composite bats should not be used in temperatures under 60 degrees. There isn't a maximum temperature that you should avoid using your bat in; however composite bats tend to have slightly increased pop in hotter weather.
Liz
What do you prefer out of the CF7 DXCFS, the Easton FS1 FP15S111, or the Louisville Slugger FPXN151 Xeno? All in a 31" 20 oz. size. Ray
All three bats are going to be very similar in design, swing weight, and performance. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS), 2015 Easton FS1 ZERO -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S111), and 2015 Louisville Slugger XENO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPXN151) are all going to be two-piece fully composite bats with balanced swing weights. You could not go wrong with any of them.
Jake
My daughter is a strong 11 year old. She wants a 31" model. She has used the DXCFS and likes it, which model would you suggest? SarahGrace
For a player the age of your daughter, we would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) in a 31" 20 oz. model. We would not recommend moving away from a model that she has hit well with in the past. The drop 11 length to weight ratio will be ideal for her age.
Joe
When does the new model come out? Ryan
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch bats should be released early April.
John
My daughter is a 5 foot 1 inch 102 pound player. What bat and what size and length do you recommend? jj
Usually for a player of that size, we would suggest a 32 inch bat. A -10 length to weight ratio would probably be the most common so a 32 inch 22 ounce bat but if she was a younger player or maybe not very strong for her size, you could go with a lighter model like the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) which would be a 32 inch 21 ounce.
Patrick
My daughter is 8 and 51 inches. Do you recommend a 29" or 30" for the CF7? I would like her to be able to use this bat for a couple of years. kelli
Bat sizing for any model, including the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS), is typically determined by her height and weight. Based on her age, our Bat Coach recommends a 29" model but sizing is preferential. If you wanted to size her up to a 30" bat, that is definitely something to take into consideration and certainly something she could grow into. Ultimately, it will be to her which size feels best. For more information on sizing, you can check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tessa
My daughter is 12 and 5'6" and 115 pounds. She has never had a composite bat before but I am thinking about getting her the CF7. What size would you recommend? Also, should she go with end loaded or not? Kim
For her size we would recommend a 32" in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS). It usually comes down to personal preference. If she is a power hitter and has a quick swing speed an end loaded bat would be a good option for her because it will give her more power. If she is a contact hitter with less power but more speed, a balanced bat like the CF7 is a better option for her.
Allison
My daughter is 12 years old. She is 5 foot 4 and weighs 110 pounds. She hits for power and average. She loved her 31 inch CF5 -10 but wore it out. I bought her a "demo" 32 inch CF6 Insane but she has struggled a bit with it. I am contemplating a 31 inch CF8 Insane. Does that make sense? She has hit her teammates 31 inch CF7 -10 balanced and hit it well. coach jim
It may be that your daughter just does not prefer a more end-loaded style like what the Insane offers. If she is hitting well with the balanced 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP), going with a similarly balanced and weighted model like the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP).
Patrick
I am looking at getting my daughter a new bat. She is playing her last year of 10u ball. She is about 4 foot 9 and weighs 85 pounds. She is currently using an old 31 inch 19 ounce alloy bat. It is time for an upgrade. What bat and size do you suggest? brian
Based on height, weight and age, I would say that a 31 inch 20 ounce like what you could get with the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) may be a good fit. It would make sense to go up an ounce to add more mass to the bat but still keeping it fairly lightweight and balanced.
Patrick
what is the main difference between the CF7 and the CF8 Denise
The main difference between the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) compared to the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is the connection point. Allows for the bat to be slightly stiffer while also reducing vibrations; the player's hands are protected against sting and energy is redirected back into the barrel on contact for a solid feel and more power!

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
