This is the first year my 8 year old has played baseball so he has had a lot to learn in a short amount of time. I noticed after his double header a couple Saturdays ago (in which he struck out 3 of his 4 times at bat) that most of the other bats in the dugout had bigger barrels than his. I needed to get him something quick (before he got totally defeated) but the local sporting goods store didn't have the size I needed and what they did have was pretty expensive. I found on your site the 2 3/4' barrel I needed at a weight he could handle for half the price. Better still I was able to get it in a matter of days. That gave us a day to practice before his next game. He has had 2 games with his new bat and I'm happy to report that he has hit the ball 6 out of 6 times including his first hit into the outfield. He knows that it is not a magic bat - that it is him hitting the ball, but it is obvious that the right bat has made a world of difference. This was a great experience! The bat was for my 12 year old daughter's birthday. We decided late to get a bat and didn't think we'd have it in time.
