Description

Mizuno has developed a reputation for creating some of the most impeccable wood bats on the market. These bats were designed to perform at baseball's highest level of play, for players that strive to be the best. Mizuno's master craftsmen Isokazu Kubota, who has hand-crafted wooden bats for Mizuno for over 40 years, created this classic design. The hard maple wood used on this bat was hand selected for quality, and underwent Mizuno's exclusive microwave drying process to maximize consistency and performance. Mizuno's craftsmen utilize a proprietary, double-dipped grain sealant for superior strength and moisture control that creates a bat that will last far beyond your expectations. This 271 turn provides incredible balance that allows players to develop maximum swing speed and hit for maximum power. The bat also features a cupped end making it lighter for quicker and more powerful swings. Elite professional sluggers rely heavily on Mizuno wood bats for the ultimate in power, performance, and consistency. Mizuno: Never Settle! Free Shipping!

Pros: meatier barrel and thinner handle than most 271's but it's true that this bat has a balanced feel. Very solid and durable too. Good looking bat, especially in the sun.

Cons: Not really but it's not as pretty after 40 ABs.

Cons: I had one for 5 at bats and it broke, on my second now and staying off the inside heater.

Pros: Solid bat, good feel, decent sweet spot. The best part about the bat is the jump off the bat. When you hit it on the sweet spot the ball really goes. My 13 yr old son hit one over 300 feet in a tournament last weekend.

Cons: About 30 AB's so far and no problems. Handle is slick, so grip tape is a real good idea.

Seasoned Vet

Pros: I had my first one for 4.5 seasons until someone else broke it. If you know how to hit with wood bats this is as durable as they come. Hit plenty inside pitches off the handle and it doesn't break. About to be on my 3rd season on my second one and only buying another one right now to have both a 33 and 32 option depending on what pitcher i face.

Cons: Non if you know what you are doing. If just learning try a bamboo bat first to get used to wood bats. Less pop but supposedly more durable and more for practice. Maple is a game day bat all the way.

Pros:

Cons: This bat broke after 15-20 pitches, my son was planning to bring it to play at Double Day Field in Cooperstown. Needless to say my son was quite upset. I was told by Just Bats and Mizuno that there was nothing I could do. I understand the risks associated with purchasing and using a wooden bat, but I think they should last longer than 15-20 pitches. Disappointed!!!!

Pros: AMAZING pop. Well balanced.

Cons: Dents very easily, WAY to heavy for me(I prefer ash to maple). Bad grip(Like all wood bats). I use tape with pine tar soaked in. Ball always stings, even when hit on the sweet spot.

Pros: Good pop, lightweight, balanced.

Cons: Broke mine after about one week, the top 2/3 of the bat went flying straight back to the fence, my friend and teammate gave his, which was the same exact model, to use after I broke mine, and I then broke that one on an RBI ground-out. And I think that might have been the next pitch after breaking the first one.
