Pros: Just received this bat from JustBats (!) and here is my first review since my son (a switch hitter) has not taken it to real-life batting yet: 1. I think Louisville Slugger really did it this time--a terrific bat for both what I call Contact-Power hitter in all aspects! 2. This is a more balanced bat than all the previous Exogrid, including Exo 2. Its balance point is 1/2 inch more to the center (knob) compared to previous Exo, but way better than Easton's S series which, IMO, is too light and the XL series which is a little too heavy for a contact-power hitter like my son. 3. The stiff metal construction throughout the bat is one of my favorite feature that we no longer see in todays real metally sound bats, but this one got it, and sounds terrific comparing to other premium BBCOR! 4. the metal sound is great yet the bat is very balanced with just the right swing weight for a high school Sr. with an athletic built!
Cons: Not yet, but will follow up if any cons comes up.
BOSS34
Pros: it feels great and bombs no vibration, it flexes to maximum strength
Cons: expensive
biggie
Pros: Great bat, the grip is so good the sweet spot is amazing my second swing the ball had to go 300 feet.
Cons: The price.
cycleTom52
Pros: The grip is nice.
Cons: Weak bat, ball didn't do anything off this bat in comparison to other bats we have. I expected more from this bat with all the hype. My son is now shopping around for a new one as it's just winter ball now.
big papi
Pros: Just got done with some BP at Fenway. Tried this bat out for fun. Great pop, Knob feels great in your hand
Cons: to heavy for me, to long hard to keep in your hands the grip is slippery and slipped out of my hand a few times it almost went further then the ball
bigboy
Pros: 1. The grip is amazing! 2. The balance is much better then the 2012 model. 3. It has a big sweet spot. 4. It has a lot of pop. 5. Very nice looking.
Cons: Nothing yet, but post if there is.
Exo fan
Pros: Cool graphics.
Cons: I grew up using Exo bats and I am sad to say that this one does not continue where the other left off. This bat feels heavy to me. The ball is also not jumping like it used to.
LSlugger
Pros: this bat has the biggest sweet spot of a bbcor bat out there. i feel like if it hits the sweet spot the ball just flies. the paint job is sweet and the cap and grip just top it all off. no regrets getting this bat.
Cons: none
col3
Pros: I liked the grip and handle
Cons: I had to return this because it cracked.
ayyedoeswaggmeout
Pros: Sweet looking bat and the ball flies off the bat. I love it, I will never buy another type of bat.
Cons: NONE.
JerseyHitter
Pros: I'm telling you right now that is the best BBCOR bat on the market. The sound of the bat is beautiful. The bat has some serious power behind it. If you are a bigger swinger (homerun hitter) this is the bat for you. I've tested this bat against the S1 and XL1 of Easton and those can not compare. And you can't go wrong with how this bat looks and feels in your hands. You bring this bat in to a big place, you will turn some heads.
Cons: Absolutely none. Worth every penny.
Willie
Pros: After doing some research on bats, just to get a little knowledge. I found out that the bat I was swinging (the Easton S1) was made more with a contact hitter in mind. I'm pretty much a contact hitter, however, I also have some insane power in me. After changing bats in my previous game, I saw a huge difference right away. Fouled off a pitch inside just barely to the left of the left field flag. Second up bat hit he ball deep in to left center gap. Great design, feel, and pop. I recommend anyone with a medium body build who has no trouble making contact with the ball.
Cons: No cons
E-Thug
Pros: The bat sounds great, feels great, looks great, and hits great its an expensive bat but worth every penny i spent on it and it hasn't had any durability problems like the some of the EXO GRID 2s had. BUY THIS BAT
Cons: not one with the bat performance, but the price is 300 but i still think its well worth the purchase
Big boy
Pros: The grip is really good. The balance is also really good. Once it is broken in it has the best pop in a bbcor bat.
Cons: Takes a little bit of time to break in. In my game I hit a solid line drive base hit over the shortstop and the cap came off and it is totally broken and won't go back on.
This Guy
Pros: My brother used this bat his senior year in college and he told me that his stats have jumped. He is being drafted by the Braves or Rockies. He told me that this is the best bat that he has swung. I am an upcoming freshman and I will for sure be getting this bat!
Cons: You don't have a brother going into the show!
Debbie
Pros: Great sweet spot. Even if the pitcher tries jamming you, you can still bring it to the outfield with a line drive. Quick bat speed.
Cons: None yet, just chips, but all bats do.
spence
Pros: This bat is by far my favorite BBCOR bat and has great pop. Also an amazing feel in your hands.
Cons: Nothing at all!
Anonymous
Pros: I love this bat, buy it, you will love it.
Cons: None.
NorthKid
Pros:
Cons: It had little to no pop. Not a fan.
Michael
Pros: This bat has an amazing amount of pop out of the box. First game I used it I hit a double in left center gap and hit 2 more line drives in the 3rd base short stop gap. I am not a power hitter what so ever. I am a 5'3" 105 lb. 13 year old. Best BBCORR bat on the market.
Cons: A kid on my team likes to use it but he always hits the bat on the bottom of his spikes and scratches it. He can't use it anymore.
CisarSalad
Pros: First of all, the bat has a sick paint job and the grip is sick. This bat has a huge sweet spot and a lot of pop. This bat is extremely well balanced and is perfect for a contact hitter. I'm a contact hitter and I went 3-4 the first time I used it with a bomb to fence and 2 doubles. GET THIS BAT.
Cons: It stinks when you see a kid on the other team use it.
exo grid!!
Pros: This bat is well worth the money! I just thought since it wasn't a composite bat it wasn't going to be good. But it's the best BBCOR bat out there. You can get jammed inside and still be able to hit the ball hard! It has a nice sweet spot and pretty well balanced for a power hitter and a contact hitter!
Cons: Nothing so far!
play ball
Pros:
Cons: Determined illegal by our league-despite being BBCOR there is no indication of barrel size stamped on the bat.
BaseballFan12
Pros: I mean, this bat is pretty good. I did slightly crack the lower part of the barrel (on the TPX) by swinging at terrible pitch. I've gotten a hold of a few pitches and drove them pretty well. I do find it harder to make contact with this bat, but I 'll just have to get used to it. Really nice (Dont let teammates use it. If they are as careless as mine, the bat will have cleat dings and scratches from your idiot teammates). Really lave commitment and you can make this bat your friend.
Cons: Keep away from swinging at far inside pitches....it's what slightly cracked mine (my fault).
Anonymous
Pros: Great bat!! My son is 13yrs 5'5"Play select ball with Drity Bay Banditz and he loves it , alot of pop and great balances.
Cons: None
Perfect brett lentz player
Pros: It is the perfect bat for all types of hitters. i am 15 and i am only 5'7" so people who say its just for power hitters are wrong. perfect bat definitely recommend.
Cons: none yet
Great Bat skyler robinson player
Pros: the bat feels very light for a 33inch bat. When you hit the sweet spot, the ball feels incredible off the bat. It has a great feel, and the grip isn't too bad.
Cons: Hitting the ball towards the end of the bat has a dead feeling.
Nice Player player
Pros: Nice
Cons: Nice
Best Bat leftyging11 player
Pros: I bought this bat on a Saturday and it arrived on the following Monday 2 days later! I've hit in the cages a few times with it, and it's definitely an all around bat. I'm mainly a contact hitter, but I hit with lots of power with this bat. Haven't used it yet in the game, or off of live pitching. Best bat I've ever owned!
Cons: The bat will eventually lose it's pop.
exo 3 schuler03 player
Pros: great pop, good weight distribution and good pop
Cons: i used it the first time in batting cages and when i came out, there were cracks right about the handle grips
Louisville Slugger ExoGrid3 BBCOR James16 player
Pros: This bat is very balanced (not like most louisville bats) and has a great feel to it. It has a massive sweet spot and it has acceptable pop. Best BBCOR bat I've swung in my high school career.
Cons: It has a good bit of vibration when the ball hits below the sweet spot and it's paint chips easy, but there are no major cons for this bat, besides these few.
Exogrid 3 Joe diffie player
Pros: Great bat, love the feel and pop of it and it has a sweet paint job!!!!
Cons: None
Overall Great Bat Illinois Coach coach
Pros: It's still early in the training season, but the bat is an overall great product. Low vibration on inside hits; nice swing and "feel" to the bat; great hand grip feel; isn't too top heavy for the smaller players.
Cons: It does NOT have the diameter stamped on the barrel (2 5/8")--thus some umps have already ruled it "illegal" in our major leagues (age 12-14).
Good bat Michael Rhee player
Pros: Hit hard
Cons: Hit 1 bad hit
Baseball-Wallace Owen Wallace player
Pros: This bat is absolutely amazing I bought for Babe Ruth baseball and is amazing. I love this bat great feel and feels way lighter than advertised. I'm five foot and 103lbs and 13yrs old anyone can use this.
Cons: Absolutely None
This bat is amazing Zyad player
Pros: It doesn't even feel like a BBCOR bat because it has so much pop. The balanced weight really makes it fell a lot lighter that other bats even though I am a power hitter. Also the grip feels really good in your hands.
Cons: None so far
awesome david player

lousiville slugger freshman101 player
Pros: this bat is the sweetest bat on the market i am confident i can put this bat up against any other bbcor on the market. i got this bat as my first bbcor for my freshman summer team and my first game i hit a 320ft. bomb over the left field fencs... and yes my high school coach did see it so this awesome bat got me some street creds:)
Cons: the end cap keeps barly sliding off but all you have to do is bang it on the ground and it will slide back into place
Title Mike player
Pros: Quality

great bat!! bruh 35 player
Pros: excellent bat with lots of pop several homers of 340+ just insane
Cons: paint chips VERY easy
Great Bat Baseballman43 player
Pros: I am a player who does not wear batting gloves, so before i pick out my bat i make sure I love the feel of the grip. This grip is the most comfortable grip I have ever had. I am only in 8th grade and I'm 14 years old. So I did not need BBCOR but half way through the season I wanted to challenge myself by getting ready for High School, and now I have been batting cleanup for an 18U showcase team and this bat has been on point. Its the most balanced bat I have ever swung! I'm batting 700. with 3 doubles in my 5 showcase games. When i was playing 14U Major I preferred using my BBCOR EXOGRID 3 rather than my -5. Can't miss with this bat it's the best on the market.
Cons: None!
ok Luke player
Pros: good bat hold up to a lot of getting tossed around
Cons: has a lot of vibration
The perfect bat Austin player
Pros: -Seems much lighter than other BBCOR bats. It feels like I'm swinging a -4 or -5 -Very large barrel -Very forgiving when you don't barrel a ball up. Balls hit off the end of the bat don't sting at all and still end up as base hits -Good grip -Balanced -Looks cool -Sounds great -Cheap compared to other high performing BBCOR bats Overall, this bat performs at the same level or better than its $400 alternatives, and at less than half the price it's a great bargain. Don't think twice about ordering it.
Cons: Can't really think of any

The Truth Paul Mayer parent
Pros: Nice bat for a great price. Did hit with it in our cage and my son approved. Nice balance.
Cons: Look, its hard to buy a bat off the web and pick a winner. You read these reviews and some kid is saying "I got this bat and hit 10 bombs" what a crock of hooey. If you have fundamentals you can hit with a broom stick. Just wish there was a demo service to see their products.

Pros: Great pop, grest sound, etc. Loved using the bat. Got mine for a good price too.

Exogrid 3 The Ageless Player parent
Pros: My 2 boys have tried numerous topline bats over their baseball days. Now is HS, the always come back to LS and Exogrid technology. in our opinion, the Exogrid 3, performs better than the 2.
Cons: As with all BBCORs, the bat can loose pop after a year or so, depending on utilization.
Great Bat so far! South Paw Dad parent
Pros: Very good pop. My son hit his very first varsity (he is a sophomore) home run the first at bat with this bat. His next at bat went to the fence. The next day he hit another home run to straight away centerfield. All the kids on the team and most of the parents were asking where we got the bat.
Cons: None so far.
Exogrid!!! Sam player
Pros: I've had the pleasure of swinging this bat for several years and I am comfortable saying that it's my baby. It has amazing jump off the bat, great balance, not too top heavy, but not too balanced as well, and has a crisp, clean ping to it. Not to mention the graphics are sick. If you buy this bat, you'll be pleased.
Cons: The only thing I would have to say is that it does rattle a bit, but I had a tendency to be lazy with my hands and throw them at the ball, so it'll depend.

Pros: As a senior in college and coming up on my last year of baseball this bat has been my favorite performance based. Great pop, great balance and feel.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
