New for This bat features the USSSA 1.15 stamp and is legal for use in Easton truly believes that every player should have the opportunity to hit for power. However, the road to power hitting is different for every player. Some players need extra bat speed to reach their full power potential, while others need more weight and a bigger barrel. That's why Easton is changing the game this season and taking an approach to bats that no other manufacturer has ever tried before. Introducing the POWER Brigade; Two series, one distinct result. Whether you prefer the fast swinging Speed Series or the heavier extended barrel XL Series, POWER will be your outcome. Forget flashy designs and gimmicky names, these bats produce RESULTS. The Speed Series (S1, S2, S3) features the lowest Moment of Inertia (M.O.I.) on the market to create light swing weights and generate more power. On the other side of the spectrum, the XL Series (XL1, XL2, XL3) features extra long barrels designed to give players expanded hitting zones and more mass in the barrel, generating more power in every swing. Easton really does strive to fulfill the preferences of any type of player as both series come in two-piece IMX Composite designs (S1 and XL1), two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Aluminum hybrid designs (S2 and XL2), and one-piece THT100 Aluminum designs (S3 and XL3). As for the materials, Easton's patented IMX Composite has proven to be one of the highest performing materials in the game year after year, while THT100 Aluminum provides superior dent and crack resistance. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology and you have a new line of bats that is second to none. Easton: We Believe In Power! Pros: Just got this bat wednesday then the next day used it to scrimmage game. I hit my first Home run. I'm 12 years old and I hit about 265 feet. Very happy with this bat! Best bat i've ever had. My parents spent more money in other bat and never hit a home run. This one i did and its cheaper than the other bat that we bought.

Cons: None

is the xl2 and xl3 better than the xl1 because i'm getting the xl1 and since the xl2 and 3 are out i want to get the best xl bullsrule
All three are excellent bats that offer something different for different needs.
Linda
Does Easton make this -9 bat in a 2 3/4 barrel? Coach Dad
Not with the new S and XL series, they did not make the 2 3/4 inch barrels.
Linda
does this come in a 30" batter up
As of 12/12/11 we do not have that size. We will be getting more of these.
KG
so if the S3 is the replacement to the Rival XXL... which line did this one replace? Wondering if the Rival was considered end-weighted like this one or more like S3. aj
Yes, basically, it is, with some new alloy used.
Linda
What is the barrel construction difference between the 2 5/8 and 2 3/4 barrels. Does the 2 5/8 have a have a longer actual 2 5/8 hitting surface and more gradual taper than the 2 3/4? Generally speaking, what is the advantage of one size over the other. Also, what has a lower MOI, the Rival or XL3 at the same -9 drops. Gary
The only difference between 2 5/8 and 2 3/4 is the actuall size. There is going to more barrel coverage in a 2 3/4 barrel. The rival is going to have a lower M.O.I. The XL3 is going to have more of end-loaded feel
Ryan
I was wondering if this bat or the Easton s3 would be a good bat for my 11 yr. old son who is @ 5'4 and 105lbs. He has very fast bat speed and is a power hitter. He also likes the demarini voodoo. Which bat would be the best for him and would a 31/21 be right for his size? Pete
The XL3 would be an excellent choice for a power hitter. The Voodoo is better suited for a contact hitter. Based on his height I would suggest the 30/20.
Kara
What bat would you recommend for my 12yr old. He is 5' tall and weights 90lbs. He has good bat speed and hits for contact. Currently swings a 29/20.5 Dago dog
This is a great option. We have heard nothing but great feedback so far on this bat.
John
My son is 12 he is 5foot2 103 pounds fast bat speed medium power hitter what bat do you think is better for him the xl3 or the s3 awesome
This will be more of a personal preference. The XL3 has an end loaded feel to it and the S3 has a more balanced feel. If he doesn't mind the end load feel the XL3 will be a good choice.
KG
Looking for a bat for my son. He is between a -10 and a -8, so thought a -9 might be good. Needs 30 inch. Smaller size, but great bat speed. What bat do you recommend in a 30/21, or some other size? NCBearcat
This is a good bat and will have a large sweet spot. A -9 will be a good option for him.
KG
Would using the xl3 have a even weight distribution? or would all of the weight be focused on the barrel? YoungBall
This bat does have an extended barrel design which will tend to make it a little more end heavy.
Jennifer
My son is 5'0 and weighs 125. Would you recommend a 30" or a 31" bat? Chris
Based on your son's height and weight, a 30 inch bat would be most common with a weight between 20 and 22 ounces.
Tyler
Is this bat legal for dixie youth baseball because it says to light for high school play? Logan
The XL3 is legal for Dixie ball. It is a Youth Big Barrel model and can not be used in High School though.
Tyler
Does this bat come in a 29/20? banker1991
The smallest size the SL11X39 comes in is a 30/21.
KB
Is this bat approved for Juniors level (13-14) in Little League? Little league website states:"Bats with barrels composed entirely of wood, metal, aluminum, or alloy (exclusive of the end cap) are NOT required to be BBCOR compliant." fitzy
This bat is an all alloy bat, so it is compliant with rules for Junior Little League baseball. This bat is legal for play in 2012 and beyond!
Jennifer
What is the difference between XL1, XL2 and XL3? k-dog
The XL1 is a two-piece, all composite bat. The XL2 is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The XL3 is a one-piece all alloy bat.
Tyler
My son just purchased an XL3 drop 5. Now that he has used the bat in practice a couple of times, he is complaining that the bat does not have much pop. He was using the Mariucci Cat5 (drop 5) and thought this bat had more pop. Is there a break in period for the XL3 bat? Or would colder temperatures impact the "pop" on this bat? Olaf
Since the XL3 is an all alloy bat, there is not any break in period required for it. Also, since the CAT 5 is also an all alloy bat, the temperatures can affect the bats in the same way. Typically alloy bats can withstand cooler temperatures, but the cold weather does tend to affect the balls and not necessarily the bat so that could have been what was happening.
Jennifer
Our son is 9 years old, 5'1" and weighs 105. He's one of the power hitters for his team. He played LL last year and had a drop 13 with his LS Omaha bat. Now he'll play travel ball for USSSA tourneys and get his first big barrel bat. What Easton bat do you recommend and at what length/weight? Tanya
If your son is more of a power hitter, I would suggest going with the Easton S1 or XL1. Both of these bats will be similar to the Omaha he is used to playing with and are great bats for power hitters. Based on his height and weight, I would also suggest going with a 31 inch bat. As far as weight is concerned, it is recommended to move up in weight about an ounce or two every time you purchase a new bat, so I would probably go with a -12 or -11.
Jennifer
Can I use this bat for Babe Ruth? If not what do you recommend? Rob
The Easton XL3 is legal for use in Babe Ruth leagues. Since the bat is a full alloy bat, there are no restrictions on the size or weight of the bat like there are on composite barrel bats.
Jennifer
Do you sell this bat in a -8 (30/22)? Brad
Unfortunately, the XL3 is not produced in a -8 model.
Tyler
I am 5'6", 13 years old but I'm turning 14 in 2 days (I am a 13 for baseball because I missed the age cutoff) I am 122 pounds, skinny but fast and I have great bat speed and hit for power. I like my bats a little heavy. Would the Easton xl3 32 inch -5 be good for me? I have used it before and liked it but I want a second opinion. What do you think? (by the way it has to be aluminum or hybrid because I am in babe Ruth and bbcor is to heavy for me) Patmcd
If you are a strong hitter with good bat speed, the XL3 would be a great option. It has very good pop and a slight end-loaded feel great for power hitters.
Tyler
Is this bat hard to swing if I'm 80 to 90 pounds and I'm a power hitter with a quick swing? Bryce Harper 34
The Easton XL3 is end loaded, but if you already have a quick swing and you are a power hitter, you shouldn't have any problem getting the bat through the zone.
Kara
Is the Easton XL3: SL11X39 Senior League legal for little league junior division? robert
The Easton XL3: SL11X39 Senior League bat has a 2 5/8 inch barrel. Little league regulations mandate a 2 1/4 inch barrel. I always recommend inquiring with your local league representative as local regulations may vary.
Damon
I am 12 and I currently swing a 31" 21 oz. S3. I am 5'6 125 and I am wondering if I should stick to that size and get an XL or go up. therealhjc
If you want an end loaded bat like the Easton XL3 we recommend a 31" 22 oz. If you want a balanced bat like the Easton S3 we recommend a 32" 32 oz..
Kara
Is this a big barrel? nick
Yes. The Easton XL3 has a 2 5/8 inch barrel.
Damon
Is this bat legal for Babe Ruth? I am 5'9" 150lbs going into Babe Ruth next year. What Easton XL should I get and if its the XL1 does it have to be BBCOR? RYan
The Easton XL3 and the Easton XL2 are legal in Babe Ruth. All composite barrel bats like the Easton XL1 must be BBCOR certified.
Kara
I'm confused. I need a end loaded bat for a 12u power hitter. The xl3 is a white barrel and Easton says the black barrel is for power hitters. Need clarification John
The XL Series will be endloaded for hitters with high swing speeds. The S Series is well balanced for hitters with average swing speeds.
Tyler
Will you have anymore 30" 21 oz in stock? Android
Yes we will be getting more 30" 21 oz. Easton XL3 bats in stock.
Tom
My son is 66"/120lbs, just turned 13, avg speed hitter. What bat would you recommend? We were looking at CAT 5 but also like the Easton. atf32
The Easton XL3 is slightly end loaded, better for a power hitter. The Marucci CAT 5 will be more balanced, great for a player who needs bat speed.
Kara
Will there be any more 31/22 in stock? Dawg
The Easton XL3 is discontinued. We will not receive more inventory of the 31" 22 oz.
Kara
Will this bat have a lot of pop even though it's a 1 piece alloy design? And how come you said that you will be getting 30/21 but not 31/22??? kid
The XL3 is one of the best one piece alloy bats on the market and it has great pop. We will also be getting some 31/22 models in stock. The question asked below was specifically referring to the 30/21 model.
Tyler
I have medium power, would this be a good bat for me? joe
Yes, the Easton XL3: SL11X39 Senior League bat would be a great bat for any power hitter.
Brandon
What was/is the follow-on / replacment(s) for this bat and is their a 33'' and or drop 6 model? Thanks, Randall Lewis Hughes
Unfortunately we no longer carry the Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL11X39. The newest comparable version would be the newest 2017 Easton XL3.
