Pros: When the ball hits the sweet spot the ball fly's.

Cons: The sweet spot is too small, so when the ball doesn't hit the sweet spot it vibrates and feels so weird.

Can this bat be used to hit real baseballs. Meaning the hard real little league baseballs. I have purchased 3 bats up till now and each one my son has dented just from hitting "real baseballs" not the soft baseballs. Dukeman

The 2013 Easton Typhoon: YB13TY Youth bat has a length to weight ratio of -12 and is not BBCOR certified. BBCOR certified bats will have a length to weight ratio of, approximately, -3.

As long as you are hitting regular leather covered baseballs and not rubber batting cage balls you can use the 2013 Easton Typhoon in the batting cage.

I have a son playing rec baseball and we are deciding between the Typhoon and Magnum. The guy at Dick's Sporting Goods basically said the only real difference is the "cooler" appearance of the Typhoon, and the Magnum is nearly half the cost of the Typhoon. Ron

The 2013 Easton Typhoon: YB13TY Youth uses a higher quality 7046 Aircraft Alloy than the 2013 Easton Magnum: YB13MG Youth, but they will perform at similar levels. The Typhoon will be two oz. lighter than the Magnum, as it's a -12 rather than a -10.
