Will this be legal in Little League in 2014?
The Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth bat is on the most current Little League Baseball Approved Bats List: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment.htm. It is BPF 1.15 certified but does not carry the newest "thumbprint" stamp. As of now, Little League Baseball will not require bats to carry the new stamp.
My son is 10, 80 lbs about 4 1/2 feet tall. I was looking at the Marucci, but what length/weight should he use, or what bat would you recommend?

The Marucci Black and the DeMarini Vexxum are both going to be balanced two-piece bats. You will not see a performance difference in either bat, so it will come down to personal preference.

My son is 9 years old an weighs 75 pounds. He has great strength, great bat speed with good bat control. Would you recommend the Black in 30" 19 oz. or 31" 20 oz. What is end loaded? And would you recommend an end loaded bat? And is a heavier or lighter bat better for him if he has fast bat speed? Thanks.
Based on his age we recommend a 30" 19 oz. Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth. An end loaded bat has more weight at the end of the barrel. They are typically best for a player who has good bat speed and power. The Marucci Black: MYB11 is a balanced bat.
Is this bat 1.15 BPF labeled?
Although it is labeled for USSSA 1.15 BPF, the Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth bat does not feature the new 'thumb print' USSSA stamp.
I am 12 year old, weigh 96 pounds, and I'm 61 inches tall. Which bat would be better for me? A Marucci Black or DeMarini Vexxum? Are either end loaded? Or is there another bat you would recommend?
With the height and weight given, we suggest a 31" bat. Neither the Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth or the DeMarini Vexxum are end loaded. If you are a power hitter and looking for a end load, I would suggest the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo Youth.
My 7 year old son is currently 49 inches tall and weighs 53 lbs. His current bat is 29 inches, 16.5 ounces. Would the Marucci black 29 inches and 18 ounces be too big of jump for him.
That all depends on his strength, swing speed and bat control with his current bat. For players who have good strength, swing speed and bat control, it's common and recommended that they move up at least 1-3 oz. in weight with their new bat. If he has below average strength and swing speed with a lack of bat control, then I would say moving up to an 18 oz. Marucci Black: MYB11 would be a little too much.
How do you recommend breaking in the Marucci Black?
The Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth bat does not require a break-in period as it has an alloy barrel.
My son hits a 31'' 18 oz bat right now. Good contact hitter but not a lot of power. He likes the the Black at in the 31"/20. Is the 2 oz too much of a jump or do you recommend dropping an inch and going with the 30/19?
It's always recommended and 100% natural for a player to move up 1-3 oz. with each new bat. Thus, we would recommend the 20 oz. model of the Marucci Black: MYB11.
Last year my son used a 30" 18 oz. Easton Omen. We are looking to go a size up this year. He's 12 and 100 lbs., what could you recommend that might be on the cheaper side?
The Marucci Black Youth is an great bat for a great price. If you need to go a bit cheaper the COMbat B2 Alloy Youth is another good one.
I'm trying to decide between the Marucci Black Youth and the 2013 DeMarini CF5 Youth, I'm 95 pounds and 12 years old with mostly contact and some power.
The 2013 DeMarini CF5 would be an upgrade. It is great for contact hitters and is one of the easiest swinging bats on the market.
Is this bat recommended for weather around 55 degrees or under for the spring?
The Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth bat is a two-piece hybrid bat. With both composite and alloy material bats, they are susceptible to damage in temps below 55 degrees.
In 2014 will my son be able to use the bat for USSSA travel ball without the stamp?
I would say that he will need the new updated stamp on his bat to make sure it is legal for play in 2014. I suggest asking a coach or league official in your area.
Does this bat have the BPF 1.15 notation on bat?
The Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth does have the BPF 1.15 notation on the bat. It does not have the BPF 1.15 stamp, but that is not required until 2014.
Is this bat approved for Dixie youth baseball? I see it says Dixie on it but does Dixie youth acknowledge that because rule book states must say Dixie youth baseball. Thanks
As far as I know a bat with the Dixie stamp, such as the Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth, is approved for play in all Dixie leagues.

My son currently uses Easton Stealth Speed 30 -11 which is composite. He is 12, 5-2, 94 lbs. What size Marucci Black should he use and what feel difference would he expect going to the Black?
Based on that information, a 31" model of the Marucci Black is recommended. The Marucci Black is a well balanced bat that feels just a little more balanced than the Stealth Speed.
Can you compare the Black to the Black 2.0? What are the differences? Also, how would the Black compare to the 2013 youth Team?
The 2013 Marucci Black 2: MYBB20 has an extended barrel for a larger sweet spot. The Marucci Black will have more flex than the 2013 Marucci Team because it is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The Marucci Team is a one-piece all alloy bat.

The Marucci Black MYB11 does have the USSSA stamp of BPF 1.15.

I'm 10 and dont know if I should get the Marucci Black MYB11 or the COMbat B1 alloy.

Actually, both the Cat 5 and Black are great bats for an all-around hitter. It all comes down to what type of bat you've used in the past with the most success. If you've used a two piece bat with more success in the past, get the Marucci Black. If you've used a one piece bat in the past with more success, get the Cat 5.
This bat does have the 1.15 stamp, correct?
The MYB11 has the old BPF 1.15 mark, that will make it legal in USSSA until 2014. It does not have the new USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp that will be required in 2014.
Is this BBCOR or Non BBCOR?
The MYB11 is a youth bat that is not BBCOR certified. Only adult baseball bats are eligible for BBCOR certification.
Is it approved by Little League?
As of today, the Marucci Black is approved by Little League.
Are you guys not carrying the regular CAT 5 model anymore- Little League model for $149?
We did have this model, but we have sold out of all of them. We are not expecting to receive anymore, as this line has been discontinued.
If I have a warranty and I get the warranty bat can I get it in a different weight and length?

How does this compare to the Voodoo?
Both are two piece bats with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Marucci Black MYB11 has a slightly longer barrel than the Voodoo.

What composite and hybrid bats are good in cold weather?
Composite barrel bats are the one's you would need to worry about in cold weather. We do not recommend using a composite barrel bat in weather colder than 55 degrees.
How does the Marucci Black compare to the 2012 Anderson bat?
The Anderson is a one piece alloy, the Marucci Black is a two piece bat, composite handle, alloy barrel. The MYB11 Black features anti-vibration knob which eliminates the negative sting.
Can you compare the Marucci Black versus the Cat 5?
The Cat 5 is all alloy. The new Black is a hybrid with an alloy barrel and composite handle. Both will perform great and display similar pop. From my experience and feedback we've gotten from customers, the Black has a little less vibration than the Cat 5.
This bat from the photo's looks like it has a long handle and short barrel length..Can you measure the barrel length compared to a Demarini Vodoo. Thanks!
The barrel of the Marucci is longer than it appears in the pictures. The barrel length of the Voodoo is almost the same.
Do you still have to worry about using in colder weather due to the composite handle?
The MYB11 has an alloy barrel and colder temperatures will not be an issue with this bat.
Which bat is better overall, the Marucci Black or the Demarini Voodoo?
The basic design is actually very similar. Both are 2 piece hybrids. Composite handle/alloy barrel. You would be happy with either.
I dont see the Black listed on the Little League approved bat list is there a chance they wont approve it?
This bat has an alloy barrel making it legal for Little League. Not all legal bats will be listed on the approved list. Please check with your league official for more details.
Which bat has more pop and a bigger sweet spot: Marucci Black youth or the Easton Power Brigade XL1 youth?
Both of these bats are good choices. They each have great pop and large sweet spots. The most balanced of the two will be the Black MYB11. The XL1 will have a slight end load feel. You can't go wrong with either one.
Would it be better to invest in a composite barrell instead of alloy? Which will have more pop? My son wants this bat after he was using CF4 last year.
The Marucci barrel is alloy which offers a more immediate pop. The composite just takes a bit to break in. Composite barrel bats have a light feel and become hotter with more usage.
Which bat is more durable: Marucci Black youth or Easton Power Brigade XL1 youth?
These are two different kinds of bats, so they are not easy to compare. The Marucci Black is a two piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The XL1 is an all composite end loaded bat. Alloy bats tend to have more durability than composite bats.
