The Easton V12: BV22 Junior Big Barrel is a coach pitch bat and is not designed for kid pitch or machine pitch leagues.
I've got an 8 yr old 52" 52 lbs. Looking for a recommendation on size/weight and brand of big barrel bat for USSSA coach pitch play.
The Easton V12: BV22 Junior Big Barrel is an excellent bat, however it is a bit too short. We recommend the 2013 Easton XL3: JBB13X3 Junior Big Barrel in a 28" 18 oz.
My son plays 10u and 11u travel ball. He's 10 years old and a very stocky guy weighing 95 lbs., usually a beast up at bat. He is swinging a 29" 19oz. I am trying to find him a great bat for at low cost if possible. Which bat do you think would be better for him?
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha: SL136 Senior League will be the cheapest 29" 19oz. bat on the website, but for the price it is a great bat.
My son is 52 pounds and right under 4 ft tall. He currently uses a 26/16 standard barrel Easton bat. Do you think this bat would be a good step up for him in coach pitch this year? If not which bat would you recommend? Thanks.
The Easton V12: BV22 Junior Big Barrel is a great choice for your son. Based on his height and weight we recommend using a 27" 17 oz. bat.
Can this bat be used in Pony league coach pitch?
The Easton V12: BV22 has a 2 3/4" barrel which makes it illegal in Pony play. Here is the rule as stated on Pony's website: "2 3/4" barrel bats are prohibited in all divisions of PONY baseball."
Does it break easy?
The Easton V12: BV22 has average to slightly above average durability for a Junior Big Barrel bat.
What is the actual weight on the V12 Easton bat? I am interested, but worried the 27" 17oz. might be too heavy if bat actually weighs more than listed.
The bat will be slightly heavier than 17oz. all manufactured bats are weight before the end knob, tape, and graphics are put on the bat.
Is this bat approved for USSSA 2013 8u coach pitch rules?
The Easton V12: BV22 features the new USSSA stamp and is legal in their coach pitch division.
Does it come in a 16 oz.?
It looks like the Easton V12: BV22 Junior Big Barrel is currently only available in a 15 oz. or a 17 oz. model. We are currently out of stock of the 16 oz. bat.
My child has done very well with this bat, but it's time to upgrade/update. He is now playing kid pitch. What bat would you recommend?
If you would like to stick with an Easton you could try out the Easton S3 it is very similar to the V12, but more of an upgrade.
Are you going to get the 28" 18oz. back in stock?
Unfortunately we will no longer be getting any more sizes available in this bat, because it is an older model bat.

The Easton V12: BV22 is a Junior Big Barrel bat and should only be used in tee ball or when a coach pitches.
Is this legal for junior league little league?
No. The Easton V12: BV22 Junior Big Barrel has a 2 3/4" barrel and is not legal in the Junior Division of Little League.
We bought it last year. Is it BPF 1.15?
The Easton V12 does have the new USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on the taper of the bat.
Is this ok for kid pitch, 9-10 yr olds?
The Easton V12 Junior Big Barrel is designed for younger players and not designed to hold up against higher velocity pitches.
Is this only for Coach Pitch? My son moved to 9U Kid pitch. Will this hold up to that?
Junior Big Barrel bats just like the BV22 are constructed for coach pitch and will not hold up well in kid pitch. If you are looking for -10 bats then you will want to check of the the Senior League bats on the Justbats.com site.

The Easton V12 has the USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp.
Is it a drop 3?
The Easton V12 is a -10. The drop is the difference between the length and the weight of the bat.
Would this hold up against pitching machines?
We do not recommend using your new Easton V12 when hitting yellow pitching machine balls. If the pitching machine is throwing regular baseballs then you are okay to use it.

What size bat should I purchase for my son. 7 year old 4' 1/2" tall and 60lbs.

Does the bat say Coach Pitch anywhere on the bat?
No this is classfied as a Junior Big Barrel and will not state anywhere on the bat that it is a Coach pitch.

The V12 does have the USSSA stamp for play in 2012. Keep in mind, this bat should only be used in coach pitch.
Do you know if this bat is bbcor? I am told it can not be used in the league my son is in if it is not bbcor.
No. This is a coach pitch bat. Only Adult bats are BBCOR certified.

This bat is actually intended for kids 5-7yrs old. A regular youth big barrel or senior league bat would offer you more durability for 9-10yr olds.

They all have very close to the same dimentions and have the same sweet spots sizes.

No, this bat will differ than the Rival. This bat is designed more for Coach Pitch leagues.

No. This bat is only produced in a 25" 15oz, 26" 16oz, 27" 17oz and 28" 18oz.

This bat is not labeled as "Coach Pitch." It can be used in in Coach Pitch baseball and other leagues allowing 2 3/4 inch barrels.
Is this bat for use with restricted flight balls or baseball (hard ball)?
This bat was designed by Easton to accomodate those coach pitch leagues out there that use regulation (hard) baseballs. It is designed to be used with either hard baseballs or the softer restricted flight balls.
Is anyone sure this is a legal bat for 9U kid pitch in USSSA? It seems to be same bat as Rival.
This bat is unique in that it is a big barrel bat stamped with 1.15 BPF. Traditionally, big barrel bats were never required to be stamped as 1.15 BPF, but USSSA recently came out and said that they would start to require this stamp on all bats used in their coach pitch leagues. This bat was desiged to accomodated those USSSA leagues that are requiring the 1.15 BPF stamp.
