Is this bat allowed in Junior (13-14 year old) division in Little League? My son is 5 feet 1 inch and 100 pounds. The bat is 32 inches and drop 3. Is this bat too big for him?

The Easton Typhoon BBCOR: BK63 is BBCOR certified and 100% legal in the Junior Division of Little League. A 32" 29 oz. bat would be too big for a player of your son's size. A better option would be a bat that is a 29" or 30" drop 3.

Looking at the lower priced Easton Bats such as the Typhoon, Rival, Hammer or the Surge. Which one has a level swing like the Easton S1? I am looking for a cheaper -3/32 inch bat for my son to use on cold days and in the batting cage that is comparable in swing as the Easton S1 so not to throw off his swing. Or do you recommend a different lower priced bat? Thank-you.

My son is 5' and weighs 104 lbs. He is playing Babe Ruth league in Indiana. I think I need a 32" with a -8 or -10. Is that right? Are BBCOR available in this?

Based on your son's height and weight, I would probably suggest going with a 31" bat. The bat can also have any drop as long as it is an all alloy bat (like this one) or has an alloy barrel. Only composite barrel bats are required to be BBCOR certified in this league. You will not find a BBCOR approved senior league bat. Only adult -3 bats are BBCOR certified.

What exactly does it mean when a bat is "Top Heavy"? And is this bat top heavy?

When a bat is "top heavy" it has a slight end loaded feel to it. This means there is more weight in the end of the barrel and the weight doesn't feel evenly distributed. This bat does not have that end loaded feel. It will be more balanced.
