My daughter is 13 and we are looking at getting her a new bat, she is 5' 8'' tall and she swings a 32" 22 oz. bat and we are wondering what length and weight to get or what bat to get if you don't recommend this one.

The Easton Synge: FP11SG Fastpitch bat will have a drop of 11.5. It will be lighter than her -10, 32" 22 oz. I would stay at the -10 size instead of trying to get a lighter bat. Checkout this option: 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS Xeno: FP13X Fastpitch. It will be a -10.

I'm 17 and looking for a really good composite bat. A lot of these reviews have daughters that are like 11 or 12, is this bat specifically for younger girls?

At drop -11.5, the Easton Synge: FP11SG Fastpitch is designed with younger girls in mind. At high school level play, the most common weights are drop -8 to -10.

My granddaughter is 16, 135 lbs. and 65" in height. Will the 34" 22.5 ounce be a problem for her?

With the height and weight given we suggest that your granddaughter get the Easton Synge: FP11SG Fastpitch in the 32" 20.5 oz. size.

If this is the 2012 model, then is there a 2013 model? Some reviews on other sites refer to a 2013 Easton Synge, but it looks the same.

The Easton Synge: FP11SG Fastpitch is a 2012 model. Easton didn't make a 2013 model.

My daughter is 11, almost 12 and I want to get her a new bat. She can really hit the ball, will that make the paint chip? Also, she is like 5 feet 3 inches tall, what size bat is recommended?

With the height given we suggest a 32" in bat. I would suggest the Easton Synge: FP11SG Fastpitch it is one of our most popular fastpitch bats on the market.

Compare this bat to the 2010 white and yellow Synge.

The white and yellow Synge (model #SRV6B), was actually a 2011 model. The only major difference is that the 2012 Easton Synge: FP11SG features an upgraded CNT Composite in the handle to provide better durability and a slightly stiffer feel.

What is the correct way to break in the Easton Synge?

Best way to break in composite bats would be to take at least 200 hits from soft toss. Also, make sure to rotate the bat a quarter of a turn every couple swings to make sure you are taking hits evenly on all sides to break up the material.

I have been trying to pick a bat for my daughter who plays in 12u ball. I've been looking at the Easton Synge:FP11SG and Easton CV12:SCG1B. We live in a cooler climate, so I was wondering which bat to choose?

Both the Easton Synge: FP11SG Fastpitch and the Easton CV12: SCG1B Fastpitch are great bats. They are both one-piece designs. The CV12 will have a slightly end loaded feel to the swing weight to go along with its all alloy design. The Synge will have an all composite design. The Synge will typically be used in 55 degree and above weather. Both bats will lose performance in colder temperatures because the softball becomes more dense and heavier.

I'm considering the 2012 Easton Synge for my daughter but am worried about the barrel chipping as the other reviewers mentioned. Is this something I need to worry about? Is this a manufacturer defect or something that happens to composite bats?

The Easton Synge: FP11SG does have a couple of reviews about the paint chipping, but it does not effect the performance or durability of the bat. It is most likely due to the bat being dropped onto the dirt after the ball is hit.

Is this bat good for a 15 year old that's 5' 2", and which size should she get? Second question would be is this bat better then the Jennie Finch G5 fastpitch bat? Which one would you recommend?

Try using our bat coach to find out which length is best for your daughter. Here is the link. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/ The Easton Synge is going to be a better bat, because of the composite material is better than alloy when it comes to fastpitch.

I am considering the Demarini 2012 CF5 (-11) for my 11 yr old daughter. She currently is using the Easton aluminum 31" 19.5 oz. Which bat is better and would be closest to the one she currently has?

The Easton Synge: FP11SG Fastpitch is a one piece bat and will be most comparable to a one-piece alloy bat.

We're going back & forth between the Easton Synge & Demarini Vendetta C6. 10yr old contact hitter, not a power hitter. Which is better?

Many contact hitters who have average or below average strength prefer two piece bats. Although, most comes down to personal preference, I would lean towards the C6 since it's a two piece bat.

Is the Synge an end loaded bat? I am also looking at the 2013 DeMarini DXCFS; how do they compare and does -11 vs -11.5 make a difference? Bigger sweet spot? Thanks.

The 2012 Easton Synge is a balanced bat. However, it will be stiffer than the 2013 DeMarini DXCFS, better suited for a power hitter. The -11 and the -11.5 have the same size sweet spot.

I cannot decide between the Easton Synge: FP11SG and the Mizuno Avalanche ($74.99). Can you tell me the main differences?

The Easton Synge will have a one piece composite frame while the Mizuno Avalanche will be a one piece all alloy. The Avalanche will be an ounce lighter than the Synge because it has a drop of -12.5 and the Synge has a drop of -11.5.
