Pros: light weight
Cons: none
A Rod Jr.
Pros: Great bat. The 29" and 16.5 oz is the perfect size for my 6 1/2 yr old starting out in Rookie league. He is 8 for 8 hits!!
Cons:
Mikey
Pros: My son had a Rampage 27" 14.5 oz previously which was a good solid bat. With the 28" 15.5 oz, he's been hitting more solid and that extra inch increased his hitting zone.
Cons: None yet

Pros: Good bat. Good price. FAST shipping. Ordered Monday night, got it Wednesday night. Learned alot from this site. The right size bat makes all the difference when it comes to kids batting. My son uses the rampage 30" 17.5 -12.5. Fits him perfect and not much gets by him at the plate now.
Cons: he has gotten a few stingers from taking pitches on the handle. His buddy has a $200 omen and gets stingers, so that being said, there is no cure for stingers except better swings lol.
kk
Pros: Great bat for the money. Decent pop and has been durable. Purchased the 29in/16.5 oz. for 9-10 year olds. The smaller players have generated greater bat speed and drive the ball well with this bat.
Cons: Some stingers when the ball is not hit on the barrel. May be more related to the weight rather than the bat?
Thomas
Pros: Very durable, I have used this bat for fall ball, the Spring and tournament ball and it is still good. It is a good bat for the price
Cons: It will sting a lot when you hit it on the handle and the pop isn't that good
Big Red (age 9)
Pros: Easy to swing. Even an easy swing sends the ball a long way. Very fast delivery.
Cons:
bobby

Cons: my son loved it

Buriking
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Stingers every time. Worst grip tape. Dents. Funny balance.
eli
Pros: the easton baseball bats are the best bats around especialy the easton rampage. a kid on my baseball team has one and i hit it all the way to center field by berely even swinging the bat.
Cons: i think nthat there are no bad things about this bat
Anonymous
Pros: Great bat for the money and very light weight to help your kid swing properly.
Cons: It's so light, don't expect much pop/power. But that should be the least of the concerns in this age range.
Duke
Pros: My son who is 5 1/2 and the 27"/14.5 allows him to maintain bat speed moving up from a TBALL bat. When considering all the important factors for young players (proper swing, good pop, durability, price, length and weight options etc..) i give it a 5 for this age group. He added 10 feet to his distance off the T after a week of adapting to different length and weight.
Cons: none so far
Duke
Pros: 27/14.5 ideal for 5-6 year olds moving up from Tball bats - bat speed, balanced, value, good pop...added 10-15 ft for my T-Baller.
Cons: No cons at this time.
sam

Pros: Very lite, easy to swing for my 7 year old. Great price, color, etc. All around a great bat!
Cons:
SC guy
Pros: This bat has a big sweet spot on the barrel. Has a great amount of pop to it.
Cons: Dents after a season or so.
bally
Pros: great pop
Cons: bent after i hit a bomb and frequent stingers I dont recommend for hard hitters
Ricko
Pros: Looks good, durable, light and quick. Good for young players U9.
Cons: Not suitable against harder pitching. Bat is "flat", no power, no pop, and significant stinger issues. Tried many remedies for the vibration in the bat with no success. Replaced after half a season. Detrimental for developing players.

Pros:
Cons:
123 13 player
Pros: The bat is very light so it generates a lot of pop and bat speed
Cons: The weight of the bat makes it so that you can only use the bat for a year maybe two

Hi My 7.5 year old son has been moved up to Rookies (machine pitch then kid pitch 2nd half of season). He is about 4ft tall. I was looking into this 27/14.5 or the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha: YB116 Youth at 28/14.5. I'm not sure which length would serve better for him. Thanks much. EC
