Pros: BBCOR is no different from the BESR Certified only different color. It is great, the pop is great
Cons: none at all
Tigers Fan
Pros: Great bat better than voodoo
Cons: Not as much pop as the BESR
Sir Singsalot
Pros: doesnt have the annoying ping of the metal bat, sounds like a wood one, still has a lotta pop i hit at least 200 balls with this and it didnt get a single mark
Cons: gave me a blister cuz i swung too much
KiNgHoVcOpY
Pros: Great. Hit a bomb over my house with it. Got best hit i have ever had with it
Cons: None, its great!
Bigge
Pros: I am a freshman and this bat is legit. It has been one of the better bats I have used.
Cons: Smaller sweetspot is the only thing I see not as good about it.
indian elmo
Pros: Not really any pros, besides it being the same bad i've used in the past 3 to 4 years, still a great design, always preferred.
Cons: Obviously, since it is the new BBCOR certified, when the ball leaves the bat it sounds like a golf ball. but i still get the same distance i've gotten with my other vexxum. i am a freshman doing the smart thing and getting used to the new certification now and not waiting till next year to be surprised. But i would much rather use wood over this.
Anonymous
Pros: Great durability like the wood sound, best bbcor
Cons: lacks pop but has enough if you are a good hitter
Saxon
Pros: Just like BESR, feels lighter, good batspeed, nice grip, drop bombs
Cons: nothing
Anonymous
Pros: Its a great bat for BBCOR
Cons: we all know BBCOR bats are very similar to wood bats but this is the best of the worst
ramairbird
Pros: Nice looking bat with the usual great grip.
Cons: No pop - the BBCOR bats are so dead that my son is opting to use wood to start the college season.
athens academy spartans

ss 19
Pros: good looking bat with good pop
Cons: after about ten hits there is this peice of something rattling inside the barrel
Rocket
Pros: Great look. Seems to hit the same as last years Vexxum. If you have a good swing, I don't think the bat makes that much difference. Best of the BBCOR.
Cons: None
Andrew
Pros: Great pop, smooth swing path-would highly recommend to all my friends. Great bat for high school player!
Cons: None
stlballer
Pros: This bat is weighted great. anyone that tries to say that BBCOR has no pop doesnt know what they're talking about. It just takes all the awful hitters and makes them look bad. Im 5'10" 165 lbs in college and putting balls off the fence with this bat. Great bat!!!
Cons:
Hollywood
Pros: Best BBCOR bat out there, i just got this bat and as a sophmore in Highschool on the Varsity team i still went 3for 3 with one homerun. This bat is legit
Cons: Feels kind of like rubber when you hit.
chris
Pros: great pop pretty balanced massive sweet spot!
Cons: a little end loaded but barely.
Coach JP
Pros: Very balanced,my son says it swings like his drop 5. Good pop for a BBCOR. Definately not as HOT as the BESR bats, but as a Coach I welcome these changes. I prefer hard line drives in the gaps, to homeruns anyday.
Cons: None.....Another excellent bat from DeMarini.
Ski
Pros: bought for HS freshman son. first game with bat went 4/5 with 3 doubles and a triple. Hitting .660 for season. Nice pop to bat despite fears of BBCOR.
Cons: his teammates want to use it also
Anonymous
Pros: Well balanced and great feel. Great sweet spot for making contact with the ball
Cons:
mike
Pros: Great pop, very nice design its a little bit top heavy but that's what i like about it.

Pros: Like the balance and still has some good pop. Looks good also!
Cons:
bsmith
Pros: Good lively bat for a BBCOR. A little more end loaded than most bats.
Cons: We have had 2 of them break already. One had the barrel come loose and it slides up and down like a telescope. The other broke in half at the woven handle on a foul ball.
jtbball
Pros: the grip is excellent, nice feel when swinging, you can still drive the ball if you connect with the sweet spot, dosen't sting the hands when fouling off balls.
Cons: sweet spot is smaller, need to see the ball better to get good hits.
baseball09
Pros: very lightweight, good pop for bbcor, affordable, all around pretty decent bat, 1 year warranty
Cons: first time out was mid 30 degree weather and the inside tubing cracked and started rattling, amen for warrantys
JMwebgem8
Pros: Great pop for a bbcor, very good grip, weight is well balanced throughout the bat.
Cons:
SlugBug
Pros: This bat is sick....everyone on my team uses it and always is sending balls flying
Cons: Got scratched very easily
D-Rod
Pros: lots of pop for a BBCOR
Cons: paint chips easily
Trev
Pros: Good bat. Has nice pop.
Cons: barrel is slightly small. Top heavy too
HC2
Pros: cool design, balanced feel
Cons: bbcor, and after 5 swings got a very annoying rattle in the barrel that didn't go away
JGray
Pros: Its a good bat perfect for any -3 league Nice colors Will get you recognized
Cons: You lose a significant amount of pop since its bbcor
BShuey
Pros: Only used this bat a in a few games and in the cage, but it doesnt seem to have too much pop. it seemed like a steep drop off from vexxums before it.
Cons: i refer to it as my "contact bat" because i get absolutley no power from it at all.

Pros: Solid bat with good sweet spot for BBCOR. Nice colors and graphics. Very similar to voodoo but for a better price
Cons: paint chips but doesn't affect performance. Little top heavy but that's the way most people like it. 4 stars for Bbcor but like 2 for besr
Coach Crabby
Pros: We love this bat tons of pop, huge sweet spot & very durable thank goodness cause the whole team is using it now.
Cons: NONE.
Anonymous
Pros: Overall good bat for people that are just starting into BBCOR. This bat has a big sweet spot, but it is top heavy so you must like that.
Cons: Paint chiped within first day.
Baseball55
Pros: Great bat, the weight feels evenly distrubted and the barrel size is huge, even though BBCOR bats dont have a large amount of pop if you get the ball on the barrell with this bat you will definetly give the ball a ride.
Cons: The paint chips after a while
@C_Rook
Pros: Good for batters that can the barrell around the ball.
Cons: Very, VERY small barrell size in lengeth, long handel.
Falcons31

Cons: None.
nash44
Pros: Good pop, great feeling grip, and swings pretty light for a -3.
Cons: I wished it had a larger barrel and a little end load. The paint chips very easily especially with rookies who don't know how to take care of a bat.
Dannylo17
Pros: I am 13 years old and am a contact hitter moving up to a -3 bat for this year. This bat is very balanced and easy to swing. The ball comes off the bat nicely and makes a cool sound.
Cons: None.

Pros: Bat has good pop, ball jumps off the bat. Doesn't seem like a bb core.
Cons: none
Logan
Pros: great bat I've had this bat 2 years and there's still pop in it. weight is very evenly distributed.
Cons: none
Oscar
Pros: Son says it has power all the way through the swing. When he hits the ball, the bat does not kick back at all. No sting with the composite handle. Shipping was super fast! Bat arrived before anticipated delivery date. Buy one before they run out!
Cons:
Coach Sanders
Pros: It goes far.
Cons: In many league it is illegal and breaks often.
samboni
Pros: Has lots of pop for a bbcor bat.I just started using it.
Cons: none yet.
Ohio Baseball Mom
Pros: My 14-year old son loves this bat! He's a freshman in high school and says the grip and weight are just right. Thank you!
Cons: None
frododorf
Pros: absolutely love it. my brother purchased this bat for me because he knew how much l love. couldnt be happier.
Cons: none.
Logan
Pros: Internet purchase ran smoothly and the bat looked great. Adjusted very quickly to the increase in weight and was hitting well. Has great balance and comfortable grip. Looks and feels great. I've already hit my first 2 run homer of the season. Demarini makes winners. I was extremely fortunate to have gotten such a great deal on the price of the bat too.
Cons: The paint on the barrel is just a bit weak. It immediately chipped off right after just one hitting session of BP. Needs a tougher coating to reduce the chance of getting scraped or chipped during a game. This problem can get the bat disqualified at certain tournaments. Otherwise, this bat is a winner. The same is true with the CF5 and Voodoo.
Jayman1999
Pros: This bat has a bit of pop and i can usually get the ball out of the infield really fast. Light for a 33 30 and it has a huge sweet spot
Cons: My coach wants me to share it... not going to happen
Baseballbeast
Pros: Great sweet spot.
Cons: No cons so far. Its all good.
Baller
Pros: Very balanced and nice pop. Would recommend buying this bat.
Cons: everyone wants to borrow it
quin
Pros: strong pop large sweet spot resistant (to damage) barrel
Cons: handle material falls apart in time paint on barrel chips easly
The Kid
Pros: Huge sweet spot. Light.
Cons: Handle does wear overtime and it does chip but not easily.
bj
Pros: Great pop
Cons: Have to hit it on the sweet spot to get the ball to go to the outfield or even get a solid hit.
pduncan
Pros: Quick delivery. Nice balance. Son is getting used to the BBCOR standard. Same length but 5 oz heavier. My son chipped in birthday money for it. Doesn't hit like the 32" 24 oz. aluminum, but that's the new standard. He likes the feel of it. A little too soon to evaluate. Been too cool at games to show it at its best.
Cons: The bat is kind of high maintenance, I mean, it needs break in, and you can't use a batting cage. We don't have 100 balls and a batting assistant to break it in like the video shows. If it doesn't perform at its best at 70 degrees, I wouldn't get a composite if you live in Canada or Alaska.
dean
Pros: Great pop driving the ball.
Cons: None.
zdog

ebybraves

Cons: none
KC
Pros: Excellent bat for anyone who doesn't have to worry about getting it around fast enough. I've had it for about a month now and it has served me well as my batting average is well above .500. I recommend it for anyone who has the strength to swing it well.
Cons: Only minor and not mattering problem is that a bat weight is kind of awkward on the barrel but that isn't a problem, I recommend buying a bat sleeve instead.
Ian
Pros: Very light, good pop for a BBCOR bat. Great bat.
Cons: None
Coach B
Pros: Bat had nice pop till it failed and cracked after 1 week of use
Cons: Worst warranty system I ever dealt with.Bat cracked after just a week of use and developed terrible rattle. Sent it back to company and it cost me 23 dollars to ship. It took over 3 weeks for them to send me back the same bat and all they did was fix rattle not crack. Talked to 3 different individuals at Demarini sent pics and I got same answer as before. If you want to ship it back to us again on your dime you can there is nothing else we can do but repair it if we can. I will never buy another bat from them, they don't honor their warranty they gave me no proof they ever tested the crackin the bat and they said it was only cosmetic. I can clearly see it is cracked and the ball comes of the bat dead. I will definately buy a differnt name brand in future.
evan
Pros: great balance, great pop
Cons: its BBCOR
Bubba Gump
Pros: This bat has an AMAZING pop for a Bbcor bat. Its very light for its size and is easy to swing.
Cons: Everyone wants to use it.
vexxum matt player
Pros: I got this bat when it first came out and is still a reliable bat.
Cons: NONE.
Moving up. Todd parent
Pros: My son is smaller in size at 5'2'' and 100 pounds. We stayed with a lighter bat too long moving to a drop 5 for 2 months and then to the drop 3 for High School. This bat was balanced enough for him to do well with. The pop on this bat was very good and excellent for the price! This bat has had great durability because we have had it for 10 months and used it in hot and cold weather. There are no cracks, chips or scratches. It only has marks where the ball has hit the bat. My son is using it again this year and has great confidence it will continue perform well for him. For me, 2 years for a bat with great pop is a great value. I highly recommend this bat!
Cons: Because my son is smaller, the bottom of the handle is a little big for the size of his hands. He says its not that big of a deal.
Overall good bat Colin Jones player
Pros: Great feel, pretty good pop. A great bat for a home run hitter. Make sure you tape it right though.
Cons: Absolutely none, terrific bat
Great bat Bradley player
Pros: Love the feel when hitting. There is no vibration when hitting at all. I also love the pop when hitting.
Cons: It is top heavy alittle but overall great bat
Best Bat I've ever used Ttown ball player player
Pros: Had this bat for three years now and it's still loaded with pop. I'm only a 5'11" 150lbs sophomore in high school and I've hit three home runs with this bat.
Cons: none

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
