My daughter is 11 yrs old and 60" and about 80 lbs. swinging a 30" 18 oz. bat. She will most likely be moving to 12U in the Fall. Should she be looking at a bit heavier bat since the 12 inch ball is heavier? What sizes would you recommend?
Based on her height and weight we recommend a 31" 19 oz. 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite: FP4L12 Fastpitch.
My daughter is 12 years and plays 12u softball. She is 65" and about 110 lbs. She is a good contact hitter, but needs a little more power. Is this a good bat for her? What weight and length would you recommend?
The 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite: FP4L12 Fastpitch will be a great choice. Since it is a -12 it will be much lighter for her to get around faster. She should be using a 32" 20 oz. bat.
My daughter is playing fastpitch softball. Because of her size she has always had to swing the smaller bats which are typically not good quality. I feel she can now move to a better quality bat. She is still tiny but is 45 inches tall and weighs 44 pounds. Would you recommend this Worth 28' 16 ounce or the Demarini 28" 17 ounce bat?
Based on her height and weight we recommend the 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite: FP4L12 Fastpitch 28" 16 oz. It is very balanced, great for a smaller player.
My daughter is 12 and plays for travel team. We bought one last season and liked it a lot, but how long does this bat last? My daughter is one of the smaller players on team at 4'11 and 83 lbs. Is it still a good bat for her or should I try to get her into the -10 454 bat? She currently has the -11 30-19.
If her bat speed is a fast right now or if she is a little bit ahead of the ball it might be a good idea to go with the -10 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite, but if not staying with a -11 bat will still be more ideal.
Is there a difference in durability between the -10 and -12 454 bats. Daughter is 12 plays on a 14u team bat speed for her is a must!
The 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite: FP4L12 Fastpitch bat will have the same durability between the -10 and -12, because it is made of the same materials.
My 16 yr old daughter plays but has slow bat speed. Is this bat durable enough for the older ages?
The 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite: FP4L12 Fastpitch is designed for younger players. We recommend the 2013 Worth 454 Legit: FPL410 Fastpitch in a -10. It is very balanced, great for a player who needs to increase their bats speed.
Is the 2013 454 Legit just as good as the 2012 CF5 DeMarini?
Based on customer reviews both the 2012 DeMarini CF5, and the 2013 Worth 454 Legit are both great bats with a lot of pop.
Can you recommend some comparable bats? I was interested in this one b/c of the drop and extended sweet spot. I have a petite, thin but strong daughter. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. She is 83 lbs and 5' tall.
COMbat's are also known for their extended barrels, so the COMbat Lisa Fernandez or the COMbat Avaritia would be comparable bats. Here is a link to view those models. http://www.justbats.com/product/combat-lisa-fernandez--lffp33-fastpitch/12954/ http://www.justbats.com/product/combat-avaritia--avarfp4-fastpitch/14931/
I have been looking at bats for my 8u daughter. What is the difference between a one piece and two piece composite bat? Benefits and flaws? Thanks
The decision really comes down to the preference of the player and neither holds an advantage over the other in terms of performance. However, here is a very helpful link that compares the two types of bats: http://www.justbats.com/blog/index.php/1749/justbats-com-buyers-guide-one-piece-vs-two-piece-bats/
Do you have a 454 Worth in a 30 inch 18 ounce fast pitch bat?
The 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite is discontinued and we will not be receiving more inventory of the 30" 18 oz. bats.
I just bought a 2013 454 legit lite and I can not find the official softball stamp that is supposed to be above the TH in worth. It has to have this stamp to be used in Dixie softball. Please help!!!
All the 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite: FP4L12 Fastpitch bats we have in stock have the "Official Softball" stamp above the TH in Worth. If you received one that does not say "Official Softball", please give us a call at 1-866-380-2287 and we can walk you through the return process.
My daughter is using this bat and loves it. Baberuth umpire is at District level is questioning it. He says it needs to say OFFICIAL SOFTBALL BAT. Can you clarify this for me? I found the same bat but with a drop -10 for sale on the baberuth site. But not this one? Any help would be great since my daughter wants to use her bat at States, July 3rd!
Unfortunately, Babe Ruth does not have their official softball bat rules posted on their website. I looked at all the 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite -12 bats we have in stock, and all say "Official Softball" on the barrel above the "TH" in "WORTH". I would check with your coach or league director as they should have the official rulebook in their possession.
Will this bat not able to be used after the 2013 season? My 8 year old wants to buy this with her birthday money she just got but hate to let her if she will only be able to use it for all stars this year & next season.
The 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite has the new USSSA stamp that is required for play in 2013 and beyond.
Is the Worth 454 Legit Lite:FP4L12 going to be legal for ASA this year and next or would I be safer buying the say new Synge?
The 2013 Worth 454 Legit Lite has the new ASA and USSSA stamps required for play in 2012 and 2013.
My daughter is swinging a 30/18.5 Easton Synergy Extended. She is 12, weighs about 95, but kills the ball. Would a 454 31/19 be a good next step ?
The FP4L12 454 Legit is a very good bat and has tons of pop. The 454 technology extends the sweet spot 2" on both sides giving the player maximum power. The FP4L12 would be a great choice for any player who likes a well balanced bat and looking to add more pop.
My daughter is 12 and weighs 103 lbs. She is about 5'4. What size would she need in the bat?
Based on her height and weight, I would suggest going with a 30-31 inch bat. The weight really depends on what she would feel most comfortable swinging and is usually a step or two up from whatever weight she is currently swinging. Most 12 year olds typically swing a -10 or -12 bat depending on how strong they are.
Is this bat better for contact hitter or power hitters?
The 2103 Worth 454 Legit Lite is a one piece composite design, which is usually more preferred and better for power hitters. Two piece bats are usually better suited for contact hitters.
What is the length of the barrel on the 29" versus the 30"?
The barrel on the 30 inch model is about 1/2 and inch longer than the 29".
Does this bat have a break in period?
This is a composite bat that will benefit from a break in period.
My daughter is 7, she's currently using a Worth Freedom fastpitch 17oz, 28in bat. I'm wondering if the 17oz 29in in the 454 will be a good fit for her?
The FP4L12 is a great edition from Worth this year, I think you will be satisfied with this purchase. This bat has a very balanced feel and great pop.
My daughter is playing 12u softball. She is 58" and 100lbs. What length and weight would you recommend? She prefers a balanced bat.
A good length for her will be a 31". The weight will vary on what feels best to her, a common weight will be 21oz. This is a good bat and has a balanced feel and has the extended sweet spot and be a perfect bat for her.
Would you recommend the Worth 454 or the Miken Freak Light?
Both of these bats will have great pop and a large sweet spot. These bats will be very durable and should last many seasons. Choosing one over the other will be based on the players choice.
What is the best Fastpitch bat available and legal today?
There is not just one bat that is head and shoulders above the rest. Some of the most popular models and better peforming bats are the DeMarini CF5, Louisville Xeno, and the Easton Stealth Speed.
