Pros: First used it at practice we put 80-90 soild hits on it and it was shocking how the ball was popping off the barrel. Haven't had a bat hit this hot from the gate. The endload is perfect for "pull hitters". It doesn't matter is it's a line drive or a fly ball it's heading to the fence.

Cons: The price, But if i get 4 years out of it between 2 teams It'll be worth it. And if you want to be picky it's not to flashy has a low profile look

Pros: HOT HOT HOT

Cons: On my second one already first one broke in middle of barrel after 30 hits, second one broke completly after 60 hits. Not worth 299 to break after one tourney

Pros: hot bat. nice smooth swing for the power hitter. they say it breaks easy but like any other bat it needs to be broken in properly and used in appropiate temperature. i hit roughly 300 hits at 25% power turning the bad slighly covering entire length of barrel and then 300 hits at 50% power turning the bad slighly covering entire length of barrel. ((i do this with all my bats before i really try killing the ball)) it takes awhile but man it was worth it. im 6'1 and 230lb and i was cracking bombs with this puppy. some may have got defective bats. but mine is a "bat outta hell". laser beam line drives. and the durability is outstanding so far i have maybe 300 hard as i could hits plus the 600 break in hits. grade a top choice bat.

Cons: maybe it doesn't look flashy enough and catches peoples eye at first but as soon as they see the performace of my bat they want one. but i don't care what it looks like as long as it does its job

Pros: First off this bat is a beast, the end load makes it hard not to hit a dinger! I really dig the look unlike everyone else Im happy its not a flashy bat, it looks sick with the powder black and red paint job! This thing kills the ball and anyone who trys to get in the way of a liner! Great bat Very pricy but hey, what good bat isnt you def get what you pay for!

Cons: cost but like I said you want results then the cost doesnt matter, i dont want to wreck the paint job!~

Pros: swung this bat at bp this weekend, put about 120 hits on it right out of the wrapper. bat feels a lot better than last year's asa helmer. the 2013 easton's seem to have a much softer and smoother feel upon ball contact than last year's. good end-load in this bat. grip is nice and soft. i swing a 28oz. and it actually feels like a 28 not extra heavy like some of the miken's feel with the supermax in them. hit lots of hard line drives and plenty of deep bombs with this bat after about 50 or 60 hits. this bat will definately bypass the 98 mph rating when fully broken in.

Cons: i guess the price, but good bats are usually expensive.

Pros: This is the best ASA bat I've used since they went to the 98 standards. It's hot out of the wrapper. Hits lasers and bombs. I'd definitely buy another one. We've got 2 or 3 guys on our team who never hit HR's and they have with this bat.

Cons: Whole team wants to use it. It is so hot the ump at our last game thought it was illegal (seriously). I chuckled and pointed the stamp out to him. All he said was "Wow". Some of the early reviews said it swung heavy, but we think it swings light. Doesn't feel like a 28oz.

Pros: Best bat out of the Easton lineup. Super pop out of the wrapper. Hitting several home runs a game. Ball easily traveling 325+ feet. The graphite and red is a sick combination unlike the ugly flashy bats usually seen in the slowpitch world.

Cons: None, the bat is awesome.

What are the diferences / changes between the 2013 Easton Synergy 98H: SP12SY98H Brett Helmer bat and the 2012 Easton Synergy Speed Brett Helmer: SRV6BH bat? A K
The 2013 SP12SY98H uses a new Black Carbon composite in the handle for better feel at contact and less vibration. Other than that, there really won't be any differences in terms of pop and durability.
Tyler
What are the differences between the 2013 Easton Synergy 98H and the 98? Between Synergy SRV4, 98 and 98H which is a better bat? ChoosyBat
The difference will be in the swing weights. The SP12SY98H will have an end loaded feel whereas the SP12SY98 is balanced. All three of these bats have great pop. Choosing between the three will depend if you like a balanced or end loaded feel.
Kris
When is the release date? jac
This Bat Will Ship the Week of April 5th. This bat is an all composite bat with an end loaded weight for maximum power.
Kris

Nick
I have never heard of a two piece bat. is there a warranty mack
This bat is covered by a 12 month manufacturers warranty. The 2 piece bats generally have more flex for the base hitters to give them a little more pop off the barrel. I typically swing a 28 oz. balanced, but a 26oz. end load bat. does a 26 feel more like a 26 or a 28oz. ?? bill
The Easton SP12SY98H Slow Pitch is an endloaded bat, so it will feel about 1 ounce heavier than it's actual weight.
Tyler
The previous years Synergy Brett Helmer has many comments about a rattling sound inside, after 100 hits. Will this one also develop this noise? Cory
The 2013 Easton Synergy 98H: SP12SY98H should not have an issue with developing a rattle but it is covered under Easton's exclusive 400 day manufacturer's warranty.
Tom

Will you be getting any more 34 x 30 bats in still on this model ? For same price of 249.99 I use a balanced bat 34 x 30 If I purchase this bat what should I pick 34 x 28 or 34 x 30 ? Being headloaded will 34 x 30 be too heavy ? I'm Older Player thou have played B for years and Now C . Still very athletic on the field KH
The 2013 Easton Synergy 98H is a discontinued model. We will not be receiving more inventory. If you currently use a 34 x 30 balanced bat, we recommend using a 34 x 28 end loaded bat.

Nick
I am looking to replace the 2012 version of this bat. It broke yesterday after two years of heavy use. I want to know which new 2014 bat is the most similar to this one? Syro
The most similar 2014 bat that would be like the 2013 Easton Synergy 98H (SP12SY98H) would be either the 2014 Easton LX.0 (SP14LX) or the 2014 Easton L2.0 Brian Wegman Pro Model (SP14L2). The LX.0 is similar in that it is approved for both USSSA and ASA play but it is only the IMX composite rather than the combination of the black carbon composite handle and the IMX in the barrel. The L2.0 is similar in the overall design and features both composite types but is only approved for USSSA, NSA, ISA and ISF play.
