Which new Easton bat is the most similar to the Easton Synergy Flex (silver with blue handle)? I like everything about S1 but reading the reviews of paint chipping really can turn a guy away.
The 2013 Easton S2: SP13S2 Slow Pitch is the most similar to the Easton Synergy Flex. The 2013 Easton S1: SP13S1 Slow Pitch is most similar to the Easton Stealth. Both bats use upgraded technology for better durability and performance.
Will paint chipping off the bat affect it in any way?
Even though the paint may be chipping off of your 2013 Easton S1: SP13S1 Slow Pitch, the performance of the bat remains in tact and will not affect it in any way.
What is the difference, besides the certifications, between the S1 and the B3.0?
The 2014 Easton B3.0: SP13B3 features a new SIC composite in the handle that will be a little more durable and do a better job of reducing sting compared to the 2013 Easton S1: SP13S1.
What's the difference in performance from the S1 and S2?
The 2013 Easton S1: SP13S1 Slow Pitch will be a two-piece design. The 2013 Easton S2 Slow Pitch bat will be a one-piece design. Both will have 13.5" barrel lengths, and evenly balanced swing weights. Both will have the same pop, but the one-piece S2 will feel stiffer when swinging through the zone.
Why is the bat only under warranty for 6 months?
Easton is the one who manufactures the bats, and decides what kind of warranty to put on the bats. Some slow pitch bats do not have a warranty so they went with a 6 month warranty on the Easton S1.
Does the two piece version come in an XL (slightly end loaded) and 30 oz?
There will be a new two-piece composite model released on February 7, 2013 that is end loaded. It is the L1.0 SP13L1. However, it is only USSSA approved.
