I purchased a Jimmy Rollins C4 for my son a few weeks ago. He felt it was top heavy. How does this one compare?

The X Bat Maple Wood Bat: Model 27 Adult will be an approximate -3. It will have the Pro Cupped End and a Regular Knob with a Flared Handle. The handle and barrel diameter will be the same as the MaxBat Maple Wood Bat: C4R Adult. This bat will have a true Balanced Design to go along with a Black/Mahogany Finish.

If you prefer an end loaded bat, I would go with the Marucci Albert Pujols Maple Wood Bat. If you prefer a balanced bat, I would suggest the X Bat Maple Wood Baseball Bat.

Most bat makers can't afford to throw out half of their hard maple billets that are too heavy. Instead they use soft maple, red maple, or lighter maple grown in warmer climates. These yield more usable-weight billets, but do not deliver the performance of X Bat's hard maple bats. Hard maple bats are made from maple grown in Eastern Canada, New England, down through Pennsylvania and across to Wisconsin. All hard maple is not created equal. Through the trials and tribulations of making more maple bats than any other bat manufacturer, X Bat has identified the right kind of maple to make the hardest, longest lasting hard maple bats. Using variables like soil mineral content, weather patterns during peak growth periods, seasonal temperature differentials, and selecting the right time of year to harvest logs, X Bat's hard maple bats have become the choice of the top hitters at every level of the game.
