Pros: Great bat , my sons is a 29/19 . It is the most potent bat he has had to date . He had last year's model was a great bat but this is already out performing last year's model . Best travel bat made . Well done again WORTH !
Cons: Paint chips/vanishes easy but still looks like a grinder .
Pros: Lots of pop, and cant beat the price.
Cons: Wish i had 2!
Pros: very strong bat, very loud, looks great. my son plays 12u travel ball and he loves this bat, worth does it again!!
Cons: none
Pros: Great pop, just like all the previous prodigy bats. My son uses 29/19 for 11U travel ball. Very good bat overall.
Cons: Carolina Gamecock colors...
Pros: Very light swing weight..feels lighter than the 20 oz Rawlings Velo. Confident-sounding loud pings with each hit. Seems to have more pop than other alloys. Just received the 30'' for 10 yr old.
Cons: Lettering and graphics will chip off easily
Pros:
Cons: BAT dents to easily....then you have to wait for replacement.
Pros: WORST BAT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: My son only had 2 batting practices and the bat all ready had 2 dents.
Pros: its a worth
Cons: we unwrapped 4 at practice today and dented 2 of them with 8yr olds
Pros: My son plays 10U Open baseball and just dumped his Rawlings 5150 for this bat. He absolutely loved it...better balance, more power and feels as light as his 29-19. More importantly, it gave him instant "feel" and that translates to confidence in the box.
Cons: All of the new bats look like they're 10 years old after the first travel weekend. Poor paint, chips and scratches easily, and we've had 3 5150's dent already. I will assume these will dent as well.
Pros:
Cons: Bought a 27/17 for our 9U team. Second kid that used it in SOFT TOSS practice dented it up so bad it looked as though you had beat it against a flag pole. Waiting on replacement.
Pros: This bat is a beast. It's very well balanced and has great pop. I love hearing the ping of this bat! My 8 year old swings a 27/17 and really likes it. This is our first Worth bat and we're hooked.
Cons: None
Pros: None
Cons: This bat dented on the 8th pitch that I threw to my 12U son. We have been using Worth Prodigy bats for years and this is the worst bat they have made. Do not buy this bat. I received my bat on February 17, 2012 and have already sent it back for a replacement. Do not buy this bat. If you can still get the 2012 model buy it. This bat is worthless
Pros: hot bat. Worth customer service easy to work with.
Cons: Had 2 of these bats less than 2 weeks old, 1 dented on the 2nd use of live baseballs and the other had the handle knob fall off. 7 and 8 yr olds should NOT be able to destroy a senior league bat in 2 weeks.
Pros: Bought in 28/18. Great pop. If you like the "ping", this bat is for you. Son hits well with it and loves it.
Cons: This is a thin wall bat like the other Pridigy models..it WILL dent, especially if jammed. The barrel never dented. Performance never suffered. I knew the risk before purchasing. You sacrifice durability for pop with this bat. I have one sent out for replacement, and a new one on the way for this weekend.
Pros: yeah, team bought this bat (My son got to keep it after, hehehe) ok, good pop though
Cons: stings a lot!
Pros: Looks sweet. Sounds Sweet. Pop is Good.
Cons: We bought 2. One team bat, and one for my son. My son is pretty small for seven and it dented after about three swings. Whe let him keep hitting it and it looks like it has been hit against a telephone pole. The other bat lasted through approximately 30 swings. It now looks the same. I am shocked. Never been this disappointed in worth in all the years of use. Buy the easton s3 or s1. Please let Worth know they need to send out appology letters on this one.
Pros: Lots of pop! Well balanced.
Cons: Dents easily. Wait forever for replacement.
Pros: Good Pop.
Cons: Worth bats should be renamed "Worthless". My son has gone through three and they have all dented. The latest one dented after hitting one line drive in a game. Keep the receipt and return info... you will need it!!
Pros: Good feel good pop for the first use
Cons: Dented the first use
Pros:
Cons: My 10 year old had the bat for 2 two weeks it already dented
Pros: good bat great pop my son also plays travel ball he hit over a 210ft fence killing the ball
Cons:
Pros: The bat has good pop. One kid hit a home run with it.
Cons: Only played one game and the bat has a big dent in it.
Pros: this bat has a great sweetspot and feels really good when you swing
Cons:
Pros: Very balanced bat. Son started hitting better the first day we had it. Will buy another one.
Cons:
Pros: Great pop!
Cons: Dented first time I used it. Took 6 weeks to get a replacement. Second bat dented after a few games. I will never buy another Worth bat again. Waste of money!
Pros: The name
Cons: The bat has stickers on it (worth and Prodegy Legit) ARE STICKERS!!!! My 10 year old used it 2 days and what do you think happened ....BIG OLE' DENT IN IT!!!! I never wrote a comment before this. Just really disappointed.
Pros: My son is on an 11U tourney team and 8 out of 12 kids on the team use his bat. Bat has good balance and nice pop.
Cons: Scuffs up real easy. Had to send the first one back after it dented in the first month of use.
Pros: My son likes the bat a lot. He's already hit a 3 homeruns with the bat. It's great "pop" to it.
Cons: I hear that it dents easily, but we have not experience that as of yet
Pros: Good pop out of the box. Has a sweet ping sound on a solid hit.
Cons: DENTS DENTS DENTS! Received this bat as a replacement to the white Lithium. First batting practice using regulation baseballs with 9/10 yr olds, it dented in the transition. Still has pop, but it looks like a throw away bat now. Very disappointed.
Pros: Got the 31-21 for my son..that play 10U Club Team. He's 4'11" 110#...So powerfull with this BAT..Super Great Bat.And the best part is that after use it fo a tournament & several practice still look like New!!
Cons: None
Pros: This is a great bat, has nice balance, lots of pop & the ball sounds good coming off this bat.
Cons: Has a little sting to it. Show me a bat that doesn't if you do not hit it correctly.
Pros: lots of pop. great grip
Cons: it was not made sooner.
Pros: looks good
Cons: we have used worth prodigy for a couple years, run from this bat! Returned one after denting 1st time used, Waited 3 weeks on replacement dented and almost broke in half the 1st time used.
Pros: strong and stiff bat, better than any bat i"ve ever had. Is a power bat. Even on a weak swing I still hit it good. good grip no sting.
Cons: None
Pros: Great Bat.. get 2 and just return them when they dent. If you can't afford to do that- get another bat. Huge sweetspot and swings great!
Cons: Dents right by the "w" in worth and "p" in prodigy
Pros: This bat is ok, not as good as the previous Prodigies. Worth does make a good product. We like the big barrel and the lound sound. Like the summary says, its for power hitters with a good stroke, its definitely stiff. We have not had a problem denting, I don't know what people are hitting with these things, but no problems here.
Cons: Just average pop thats why I can't rate higher. Older models are better. Sticker? Really?
Pros: Lots of Pop! Lots of Pop! Lots of Pop!!!
Cons: Dented first tournament!!! Looks like is hat been used for years. My sons blue and white Worth 3 year old bat has more hits and has not dented. Waiting on replacement...Still Waiting!
Pros: good
Cons:
Pros:
Cons: Bat dents easy. My son dented his first one so we sent it in and they replaced it and the second one dented
Pros: Awesome bat ! It has great pop and its just like other worth bats . GET THIS BAT!!!!!
Cons: None
Pros: it's a nice bat
Cons: none
Pros: Good pop, good balance. Out hits a CF5 being used by the same kids.
Cons: Paint and stickers are almost worn through after 1/3 of the season.
Pros: it is awesome I hit 10 homers
Cons: nothing badto say.
Pros: great pop, 20 feet further than any bat we used.
Cons: small dent on first hit, After first BP session, bat looks like a BOAT PADDLE and waiting on new bat, still, still..really he is 9 and 63 lbs.
Pros: good pop
Cons: dents the first week of baseball
Pros: Has great pop--
Cons: but it dents VERY easily!!
Pros: Great pop on this bat. Worth customer service was great. Going to buy another tomorrow.
Cons: First one deadened after about 2 months of practice and games. Replacement lasted about 9 months until it died.
Pros:
Cons: DENT, DENT, DENT. Bat dented first day it was used, and on a bunt of all things, used bats for 2 days 3 dents that look like golf ball hail damage on a car, will never buy another one
Pros:
Cons: Dents to easy. first day we got it my 8 year put two dents in it. 10 hits 2 dents. will NEVER buy another one. still waiting on the replacement
Pros: I have a hard time believing all this about the dents after 1 practice session. My son goes through about 2 per year and theyre pretty beat up by the end of the season, but never really lose their pop. Kid is 4'8 and 105#, 11u and swings very fast. We get at least 4-5 mos out of them. this has been his preferred bat since 6u because of the balance and pop. Probably bought (2) of every year model since 2008 blue/gray. 2009 blue/white was the hottest.
Cons: i guess worth got tired of replacing the dents and decided to alter the legit. well, it's legitimately worse than the lithium. barrel is thicker and handle is skinnier, meaning that they lost the balance that made this bat the beast it was. my son is actually grabbing the S1 first now at BP, his old 28" black lithium 2nd, and this legit gets broken out last. wish i could still buy the lithiums for him. all 6 HRs over last 2 years came off the white or black lithiums.
Pros:
Cons: We went thru 2 of these this weekend, both dented, one within 30 minutes of hitting, Used by 9 year olds, major design flaw somewhere, dont waste your money
Pros: Awesome pop, love the sound.
Cons:
Pros:
Cons: Dents easy
Pros: this bat is awsome with very nice grip. it has great pop and it looks cool
Cons:
Pros: Great pop out of the box.
Cons: Two Games later, bat was dented in multiple locations. Worth did not honor warranty on the product defects.
Pros:
Cons: Received this bat as a replacement. It cracked in two places after 3 swings.
Pros: Good Pop, infact so great, I wouldn't rate it, but the website is requires to do so! CONS remmber the Great POP!------>
Cons: BIG DENTS, Game one of the season, and two large dents it needed replacement. Unfortunately it took WORTH half the season to replace, however when we received the replacement, that was engraved "REPLACEMENT" I read WORTH's policy that indicated they will not replace a bat after it has been replaced. I thought, "Well, maybe this was just a bad bat". I thought wrong; the replacement went through a few games and never the less, wouldn't you know it? Two dents making the WORTH bat worthless. Not only would I not recommend this bat, I wouldn't sell it! 29in/19oz being used by an average to small 10 yo with base hit to double power should last more than 45 games. So if planning to purchase for the season, get 2 or 3 depending on how many games are in the season. I could just turn it in as scrap aluminum.
Pros: Lots of pop
Cons: Add $15.00 to the price to sent it back to Worth when it cracks, it will. You only get one replacement. Spend a little extra and get one that will last the whole season ours lasted 4 games.
Pros: Pretty good pop
Cons: dents very easily ,not durable
Pros: Decent pop.
Cons: My 10 yr old put a dent in it the very first batting practice.
Pros: Easton let us all down by not brining back the old Rival....new Brigade series is a failure....looked hard and long trying to replace Rival Bat.....This bat is the best thing we have found to date and it is better than the Old Rival....Stronger and better pop......No dents so far...big sweet spot...really great for strong hitters.....sounds like a cannon shot when you hit it good.
Cons: None!!!! A really good bat and great for the money!!!!
Pros: I have read so many bad reviews of this bat.....and it just hasn't been my experience...I know I will get dislikes for this, but my son is a bigger 100 plus pound 9 year old that can hit the ball 200 plus.....and this bat has not dented yet.....we have used it for 3 tournaments....the ball flies off this bat.....we bought TPX Omaha and he dented it first practice....just my experience.....very durable as far as I am concerned.
Cons: None!!!!!
Pros: Lots of pop
Cons: Within six months my 10 year old has cracked 2 of these, the red model and the green replacement. They will only replace it once. Don't waste your money
Pros: None. Dents with every hit.
Cons: Terrible bat. Dented after the very first hit and dented with almost every hit thereafter.
Pros: Couldn't use it long enough to find out.
Cons: 2 weeks, 2 bats, multiple dents and a crack.
Pros: Surprising good pop off this bat; purchased at a discounted rate so not expecting much. This bat compared to more expensive bats out on the market today.
Cons: smaller sweet spot; if sweet spot is missed, this bat is not forgiving.
Pros: Early pop with this bat.
Cons: DENTED handle, Worth will not cover, stay away from this bat. 3 dents in 1 game, my sons 11 yrs. old. That shouldn't happen 8 games into a season WORTH LESS!
Pros: We have owned 2 of these bats, the 2012 lithium model an this 2013 model. These bats are by far the best bang for the dollar. My 10 year old swings 30/20, absolutely loves it! Great sound coming off a hard solid hit, has best balance of any bat made. No dents on either, he hits a lot of balls with it.
Cons: None.
Pros: Get ready to collect balls from the parking lot. Nothing hits like a Worth. All you people crying over dented bats go to Walmart and buy a 50 dollar bat. They don't dent. They also don't perform. If your son is worth anything as a batter, they will dent bats. ALL of them. My boys will keep filling up the ditches and bleachers with home run balls.
Cons: They dent, but Worth always honors the replacements. We have hit with COMbat, Easton, DeMarini, and dented them too.
Pros: None
Cons: My 9yr old dented it on his first swing. Been waiting three months on a replacement. They will not refund my money. Calls every week and they are on back order. Worth is worthless.
Pros: Price.
Cons: After breaking in the bat, my son finally used it in a game and first at bat the barrel dented. After four games it looks like it was used to hit rocks for years. This bat is horrible! I would not recommend this bat to anyone.
Pros: Great pop, and looks great
Cons: It doesn't come with a stop the sting
Pros: the worth bat has the best balance, pop and sound,,,too bad they don't make this bat anymore. We have used combat, easton, mako, and LS bats and they can not compare. By far worth the best bat out there.
Cons: Rawlings now makes this bat
Pros: I woudnt say any good things about this bat
Cons: Everything about this bat is bad
Pros: My son loves this bat, and so does half his team Nice balance and feel.
Cons: Four games into the season and the bat has a 3" crack in the end of the barrel. Very disappointed in the durability, will likely go back to Marucci.
Pros: This bat has huge pop. The ball comes off very fast. For 8 yr old kids it looks kind of cool as well.
Cons: We used the bat in 2 practices and 1 game and it dented in the 2nd practice. Justbats.com has sent me a new one and we'll see how this one holds up to 8 yr old bat speed.

About the Brand
Worth, Inc. can trace its beginning back to the year 1912, when George Sharp Lannom, Jr. purchased a tannery in Tullahoma, Tennessee and established the Lannom Manufacturing Company. Initially, the firm tanned leather for harnesses and horse collars they manufactured. However, as the automobile grew in popularity, the demand for the company's harnesses and collars declined, so Lannom shifted its manufacturing resources toward production of leather covered baseballs and softballs under the "Worth" brand, and men's leather dress gloves under the "Craig" brand.
Charles (Chuck) E. Parish joined Lannom in 1930 as a salesman and married G.S. Lannom, Jr.'s daughter, Martha Lannom several years later. Following Mr. Lannom's death, Parish acquired controlling interest in the company, which led to a division of company assets between himself and Lannom's son G.S. Lannom III. Lannom maintained the glove works while Parish, "The Baron of Baseballs," built the Lannom baseball business into the world's largest manufacturer of baseballs.
Upon graduation from Vanderbilt University in 1959, Chuck Parish's son, John, joined the Lannom organization. He persuaded his father to expand the company's Caribbean operations and enter the baseball bat business in 1970. In 1975, following the death of his father, John Parish took over the reigns of the company. Under his leadership, the company diversified and expanded its production line and developed the personnel, technical know-how, and physical facilities to become one of the largest and most financially sound manufacturers in the entire sporting goods industry.
The WorthSports Company was formally organized in 1975 as the sales and marketing arm for all sporting goods products and divisions of Lannom. In addition to the normal marketing functions, Worth also emphasizes and provides new product research and development. In fact, the emphasis placed on this development is largely responsible for Worth's leadership role in the sporting goods industry.
When Worth entered the bat business all bats were made from Northern White Ash. Worth then established wood mills in Pennsylvania and New York to provide the strong but relatively lightweight ash wood stock. Then directions were shifted to aluminum and other composites and in 1968 Lannom Manufacturing produced its first aluminum bat. The company's Jess Heald was primarily responsible for its development. The sale of aluminum bats to amateur baseball and softball players mushroomed in the 70's, helping Lannom achieve record results. In 1994, because of market demands, more emphasis was placed on the aluminum division and an expansion was completed in Tullahoma.
One of the first and most significant results of the R&D program was the development of the Polyurethane (Poly-X™) core for baseballs and softballs. This one innovation revolutionized the entire softball world; up to this time, the traditional softball core was constructed of cork and latex. Worth, through the use of "petrochemical" formulation, created a softball that was more consistent in performance and demonstrated extended durability, thereby setting the stage for the establishment of formal specifications and standards for the industry. More recently, the expanded research and development team has made another revolutionary addition to the aluminum bats called the SuperCell EST (Exterior Shell Technology) Bat.
One product Worth is very proud of is its RIF (Reduced Injury Factor) baseballs and softballs. Introduced in baseballs in the late '80's, the RIF design features a polyurethane center that makes the ball softer than the traditional yarn wound ball, while keeping the weight, size and liveliness. The balls are used mainly in youth leagues, where safety is of major concern. The technology is now being used in Worth softballs as well. New technology is constantly being developed to revolutionize the softball industry as we know it today.
In 2007, Worth was acquired by Jarden Corporation and is now a division of Rawlings and Jarden Team Sports.
