Cons:  Bought a 27/17 for our 9U team. Second kid that used it in SOFT TOSS practice dented it up so bad it looked as though you had beat it against a flag pole. Waiting on replacement.

What are the differences between this bat and the SLPL10?

The major difference is the type of alloy used in the construction of the bat. The Worth Prodigy Legit (SLP234) features the Lithium alloy from Worth and the Worth Prodigy Legit GX4 (SLPL10) is made out of the new GX4 alloy.

I notice in several of the reviews there seems to be integrity issues with this bat. Easily denting, paint peeling easily, etc. What seems to be the consensus on these issues?

2013 Worth Prodigy Legit: SLP234 Senior League bat is a high performing big barrel bat. The alloy used is a good alloy, yet I have taken a few calls about dents. It is now a discontinued product.

Trying to decide between the Worth Legit and the Combat B4 Portent, can you explain the difference? And which one has more pop?

The 2013 Worth Prodigy Legit is a one-piece all alloy bat and the COMBAT B4 Portent is a one-piece composite bat. Both have great pop, however the COMBAT B4 does require a break-in period.

However, as the automobile grew in popularity, the demand for the company's harnesses and collars declined, so Lannom shifted its manufacturing resources toward production of leather covered baseballs and softballs under the "Worth" brand, and men's leather dress gloves under the "Craig" brand. New for 2013! The SLP234 features the USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp and is approved for play in 2012! Worth's best-selling big barrel bat is back again this season! The Worth Prodigy has made believers out of millions of ball players with its simple, yet extraordinary design. It all starts with Worth's Lithium Alloy. Lithium Alloy is Worth's strongest aluminum and offers players an unrivaled combination of pop and durability. This pop is easily recognized because it's hard to miss with this bat. A MONSTER 2 3/4 inch barrel is one of the most highly coveted features of the Prodigy and when you see it in action, you'll know why.
