Pros: Great bats. I got three bone rubbed models. They also have the date they were made on the end. We saved quite a bit of money compared to buying bats like this for full price. Seem to live up to the description.

Cons: Kind of a grab bag on what turn you get, but it is clear these are top grade bats. Price is fair too.

Pros: Great solid bat with a great swing weight. I received the 243 turn model and i love it, the bat is balanced and sturdy. use it every day and i love it. pop is good and the bats look sweet. steal for the quality of the bat

Cons: My bat came with two knots in the barrel but it doesn't affect its performance. the color came in a black handle and natural finish instead of a full natural bat but i don't care it looks sick! the other bat is perfect though.

Blemished Bat Tony parent

Pros: Price

Cons: Blemished - I guess it's expected for $40 bat but it had a perfectly round circle missing in the paint. It will be scarred from hitting anyway but it's just disappointing to receive it looking like that new.

The Rawlings Minor League Gamer Maple Wood Bat: RMLGM will be the natural color but can be any turn model.

please explain the differances in turning numbers. tfoster
The turning numbers refer to the specific barrel and handle diameters. It also refers to what kind of knob the bat has and what kind of taper there is between the handle and barrel. Rawlings carries several turning models such as the 243 and the 232. The 243 will have a 2 and 5/8 inch barrel and 29/32" handle. The 232 will have a 2 and 1/2 inch barrel with 31/32" handle. Do you get free pine tar with this bat when you order it? Rudy
The Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM) Adult does not come with pine tar.
Jason
What has more pop in your bats between the ash and maple? Rudy
It is tough to say that one type of wood will perform better than the other. Typically, a maple bat like theRawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM) Adult, is better for power hitters because of its stiffer feel. Where an ash bat has a little more flex and is better for contact hitters.
Jason
I am 6 foot 3 and weigh 230. I was wondering if you think I should be using a 34 or 34.5 inch size and if there are a big difference in the two? rudy
Based on height and weight, a 34 inch model of the Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM) would be a good fit. You may be able to use a 34.5 inch model but it would not offer too much of an advantage besides adding more weight or mass to the bat. If you could swing them at the same speed, the added weight on the 34.5 would maybe help produce more power.
Patrick
How can I tell the handle size on these bats? Hank
Unfortunately, we would not be able to guarantee a handle size on these options of the Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM Adult) since an option can be any turning model from Rawlings' production line.
Ben

The 32" and 33" options of this Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM Adult) should be available for purchase at JustBats for quite a while due to there being a number of models in stock for purchase.

What does it mean that the "color and finish may vary" isaiah thomas
When it is listed that the "color and finish may vary" on a model of this Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM Adult), that signifies that any option ordered of this bat could come with a color different from what has been listed in the picture. Also if the bat is natural colored (like in the picture), it could come with no finish on it or it could be finished (the finish could be lighter or darker in color).

whats the best wood bat for a fresh man in hs and being 5"8 145lbs hs ball player
The 32" Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM) Adult would be a great option for a freshman in High School at your height and weight. If you wanted to go a little bit smaller than a 32" than the Rawlings Velo Ash Wood Baseball Bat (R271V) Adult is available in a 31" model. Both would be great options for a freshman in High School.
Carter
5'-10", 160 lbs. What size wood bat is best for someone my size? GB
Based upon your height and weight, I would recommend using a 32" Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat: RMLGM Adult.
John P.
What does a 243 turning model mean? David Hayse
A bat with a 243 turning model will come with an approximate 2 5/8" barrel diameter, 29/32" handle diameter and a medium taper from the barrel to the handle. That medium taper will lead to more of an end-loaded swing weight for a 243 bat. This Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM Adult) has the chance of coming with a 243 turning model as the bat can be any turning model from Rawlings' production.

About the Brand

Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.

The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.

In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.

In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.

The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.

Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
