Description

Players around the country will be ready to strike with "Deadly Powerful Performance" with the new Mizuno Mamba ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MZMAMSPA. This one-piece, fully composite design is made from Mizuno's high-end Black Array Carbon Composite material that reduces the break-in time required by the player. This composite material is shaped with a Cylinder Seaming process that eliminates edge inconsistencies between the carbon layers. The result is a bat that provides consistently high performance across the length of the 13" barrel. Its solid one-piece construction prevents unwanted flex that results in lost energy on contact. Each Mamba model also features an end cap engineered for optimal MOI and Mizuno's new Double Wall Technology in the barrel for thinner walls and higher peak performance. The Mizuno Mamba ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MZMAMSPA is approved for play in most major slow pitch organizations (ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA) and lends its balanced swing weight to improving bat control and increasing swing speeds. This bat is a non-warranty model that lowers the cost while delivering the same performance of high end competitors' models. Mizuno: The Power of Team! Free Shipping!

Great Bat David player

Pros: I received my Mamba last week and first impression was that Mizuno did a good job on the look. The lime or green color is sick. I purchased a 26 ounce. It's balanced and swings light. The first night I was surprised at the pop it had right out of the wrapper. Typically Mizuno's take 500-700 swings to break them in before you really start seeing some performance. The grip offers enough grip and padding without being bulky. For $175 you can't go wrong. I'm excited to see what this bat does once I have several hundred swings on it.

Cons: None so far!

Pleasant surprise! Andy Briggs player

Pros: I read the reviews and was hoping it would live up to the hype. First game out of the wrapper, the Mamba was spraying extra base hits all over the field. Only took 4 cuts before a long ball. I would recommend to anyone that wants the flexibility to place a line drive or go over the fence.

Cons: None

What's the difference between this bat and the 2015 Mizuno No Doubt ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MZNDSP)? biggs
The 2015 Mizuno Mamba ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MZMAMSPA) and the 2015 Mizuno No Doubt ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MZNDSP) are very similar bats. Both bats are one piece fully composite bats with balanced swing weights, but the No Doubt offers a slightly lighter swing weight. They feature the same Black Array Carbon Composite material and Double Wall Technology. The No Doubt has a new rolled end cap and a comfortably thin digi-grip. The Mamba has an end cap designed for optimal M.O.I. and a synthetic leather grip to enhance it's feel. If you're looking for maximum swing speeds, the No Doubt might be the better choice.

Is this bat truly balanced or does it have some end load? xxx
The Mizuno Mamba ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MZMAMSPA will not have a slight end load and will be truly balanced.

When you say it swings " light " should I go up an ounce from what I normally swing or should I keep it the same? XXX
The Mizuno Mamba ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MZMAMSPA does swing "light" per se, due to the exceptionally balanced swing weight. However, I would recommend sticking with your regular drop weight. The "light" feeling is not going to feel like a whole ounce less and going up an ounce, could slow down your bat speed.
Nick
What is the difference between this MZMAMSPA (ASA and USSSA) and the MZMAMSPU (USSSA)? billybob
This Mizuno Mamba ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MZMAMSPA) will feature the same Black Array Carbon Composite material as the MZMAMSPU. The biggest differences will be the cosmetics and the certification on the bats. This MZMAMSPA has ASA and USSSA certification on it and a green coloring to it. The MZMAMSPU has only USSSA certification and a black colorway.
