Both are VERY hot bats. This particular one, is made in the USA! Neither has a warranty. Both similarly balanced.

The MSU2 is also MADE IN USA , so that is not the difference, what else is the difference? smooth
There is not a difference in performance of the two bats. The SPU2P is simply a special USA edition bat with a more patriotic look.

I bought this bat and I'm having trouble breaking it in like all the other senior bats I've owned (Miken UII, Special Edition, COMbat DaBomb etc.) any suggestions? AMMODawg
The best way to break-in a composite bat is to take 100-200 swings off soft toss or a tee and rotate the barrel about a 1/4 inch each swing. This should help break in the composite material more evenly.

The Miken Ultra II USA Senior Softball: SPU2P Slow Pitch bat is a Senior Slow Pitch Softball bat that unfortunately, does not have any true comparisons on the Fastpitch side. The best bet would be the Miken NXT Freak Fastpitch bat.

The Miken SPU2P and Miken MSU2 are the same bat. The SPU2P is a special edition of the MSU2.

Using the Miken Ultra II USA Senior Softball: SPU2P bat in a batting cage with yellow cage balls could shorten the life of the bat. We only recommend using this bat with real softballs.

The Miken Ultra II USA Senior Softball (SPU2P Slow Pitch) is just an older model that Miken has stop making. They have moved onto making the newer versions like the 2015 Miken Ultra II Big Cat Mike Macenko Endload SSUSA (MMULT2 Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat).

Unfortunately, the Miken Ultra II USA Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPU2P is not approved for play in ASA. It does not feature the ASA certification stamp. It is only approved for play in Senior Softball.
