Description
Marucci takes pride in turning top quality wooden baseball bats in the same tradition and precise technique of the earliest bat companies. Every Marucci bat is cut, calibrated, balanced, buffed and lacquered by hand. Marucci uses top grade Maple billets cut from selected, naturally grown trees in Pennsylvania forests. This selection process insures the highest possible grade of wood for each bat. Marucci bats are 100 percent handmade or turned in small batches from an original design, then finished and detailed by hand. Each model is made to exacting specifications maximizing balance and ease of handling. Marucci uses an Ultra Penetrating Stain that provides the best possible finish for your next Marucci Bat. Most impressive is the Bone Rubbing technique that they use. "Boning" bats began in the earliest days of baseball with players like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. These Hall-of-Famers would spend hours in their dugouts rubbing their bats with old cow femur bones. Bone Rubbing closes the wood`s pores, compressing it and making it harder. Marucci uses the same technique on their bats, rubbing before the finish is applied to seal and harden the wood. Just another example of how Marucci takes the same pride in their bats as our baseball heroes once did. Average Ratings Based on 26 Customer Reviews
Pros: Excellent bat. My 10-yr old son loved the balance and feel of the bat. He couldn't wait to get into the cage, once he got in he was hitting some serious line drives.
Cons:
Pros: The 29' is a couple ounces heavier than the 28' Chase Utley model, but my smaller 10 year old son can get it through the zone jut fine. The barrel has a bigger sweet spot so he gets more pop with it. Marucci makes great, durable bats for younger players to use to make the BBCOR transition much easier.
Cons:
Pros: It has good power.
Cons: A bigger barrel.
Pros: Great balance, the bat swung lighter than the actual weight. Hits were very solid and no vibration. The bat showed very little wear after one tournament.
Cons: The cupped end is vulnerable to damage on a mis hit.
Pros: GREAT BAT. I always hit with it. JUST GET IT!
Cons: none
Pros: My 11 y/o son got this bat earlier this year and immediately fell in love with it. Took only a few cage sessions to get used to the weight difference and the feel but once he figured it out he started doubles.
Cons: None!
Pros: This bat has a very balanced swing weight added to the giant sweet spot that allows for loads of pop. The tapered knob really makes this bat very comfortable to swing. This bat does chip relatively easily, but not that much chipping. The paint finish is great I really like these colors more than the CU26. Over all this is the best youth wood bat you could get
Cons: None!
Pros: Tons of pop, great bat!!
Cons: End cup chips easily
Pros: The best wood bat ever. Big barrel, feels light, and has amazing pop. It is just downright the best wood bat in the business.
Cons: none
Pros: My 10 year old son loved the bat. Once he started hitting live pitches, he was rocking the ball.
Cons: None.
Pros: Balanced weight
Cons: None
Pros: Son used it in his first wood bat tournament of the year. He had no issues with the weight. He had some nice line drives with it, despite being a little heavier and an inch longer than his usual bat. Marucci makes great wood bat products! Shipping was fast as usual with justbats.com
Cons: None--looks and feels great!
Pros: My swing is a down and up so it goes far and high and my cousin he's 10 I'm 12 he can hit bombs with this bat. And the durability Is great .
Cons: With a cupped tip i swung at a breaking ball and I destroyed my bat.
Pros: Even though an approx -5 drop, this bats feels lighter Great looks Good pop for a wood bat
Cons: Everyone will want to use it.
Pros: Nice Looking Good Grip
Cons: Not very much pop Hard to get barrel in zone
Pros: All in all good bat just poorly made
Cons: Its a great bat all in all but seems weak if a 11yr old kid can hit a ball and brake the bat in half by the handle doesn't say much. Since we are over 30 days they will not warranty the bat used 16 times
Pros: Wanted a wood bat for offseason hitting. My 10yr old son has about 500 swings with the bat 30/25. Feels great in his hands, he loves the feeling and sound off the bat when a ball is squared up.
Cons: Grip: We didn't want to use pine tar so we purchased a lizard skin grip and installed it. Problem solved
Pros: none
Cons: it broke after 2 hits
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Broke in half the first time I used it
Pros: My sons had the 28 inch model, which I found the handle to be a tad thin. So, when it was time to move up to a 29 inch, I bought him a JB model, because of the thicker handle, which he likes, but without the tapered knob, which he wished for. The 30 inch model had the best of both world, tapered knob, and surprisingly, thick handle like a JB. Not sure if this is by design, or just a variability in the bat making process. I ordered 2 bats, one was a minus 7, the other a minus 6. The -7 would be his game bat, and I am encouraging him to train with the -6. Five Stars in all categories, beautiful, hard bats, that produces a lovely contact that an MLB player would approve.
Cons: Wish no cup is an option
Pros: good feel. ball popped of the bat. looked good
Cons: less then 50 swings and the bat broke in half.
Pros: My son absolutely loves this bat! He's a 10 yr. old and has just started using it for winter season. Well balanced and nice pop. We'll see how long it lasts.
Cons: None.
Pros: This bat was a big step up from my son's Mizuno. Two hard hits at his first at bats with this new "weapon of choice." He likes the light weight, hard maple, and most importantly the sound of the ball cracking off the bat.
Cons: None
Pros: My 7yo Son loves his new marucci bat
Cons: None
Pros: Has great pop
Cons: None
Pros: My son likes it and the kids on the team all stood in awe when they saw it.
Cons: Could have come with a grip.
