Pros:  After comparing the Easton S3 and this bat, I decided to go for the Omaha XL. My son has used it three times already at batting practice and loves the feel of it. Nice POP when ball makes contact in its sweet spot. He is a 8 yr. old and loves to swing the 29" -10 drop bat! Bat is well balanced, not too heavy and gloves are not needed because of the excellent grip.

Cons:  Not really a negative but grip is all white. So if you are particular about having a spotless bat then this might not be for you. (There is dirt involved in the sport of baseball!!!!)

Pros:  Initial results in practice were outstanding - Nice sound, very good pop. Will know more after our first tourney this weekend

Cons:  Non Yet - Expect it to perform as advertised. Appears to be a good value

Pros:  My son is 12 years old and weighs 87 lbs. He has the 30/20. This bat is balanced well and he can get the barrel through the strike zone easily with the -10. My son used his new Omaha SL136XL and noticed an increase in pop off of the bat. He then used one of his teammates Easton's and went back to his Omaha and said he can hit the ball harder with the Omaha. A definite value buy IMO.

Cons:  None yet. The white handle will be dirty after one use, but that's baseball!

Wondering what size bat you would recommend for my son. He's got a great swing and we are transition from Little League to USSSA. He's 4 foot 3 inches and weighs about 65 pounds. Scrawny kid but very athletic.

I would recommend getting a 28 inch bat for your son. The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL Senior League Baseball Bat (SL136XL) would be a great bat for your son, because this is a balanced bat and is great for contact hitters.

My son is 7 and I wanted to know what size to buy him?

The best way to determine the correct bat size for a player is by their height and weight. Typically a 7 year old is swinging a 28" model in the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL Senior League Baseball Bat (SL136XL). For more sizing information check out our Bat Coach:

Customer Testimonial

We have been buying bats from justbats for several years and I dont believe there is any reason to look any place else. Our most recent experience was the best one yet, back in the spring of 2010 I called justbats to purchase a 2 5/8 barrel bat for my 11 year old boy who was playing for a team that hundreds of kids around New England try out for and this team practices for several months and then play in two tounaments, one in Lancaster, Pa. and the second in Cooperstown, N.Y.(week 12, tournament of champions) I picked Justbats customer service brains for advice on which bat to select. They talked me thru all the bats pros and cons and I chose the Combat B2 32/24. This bat has great pop, but it wont last long which I was well aware of, My son used this bat ECTB tournament in Penn. My 11 year old hit a ball over the fence( over 300ft) to win the ECTB championship, Our team continued to practice for the next and final tounament in Cooperstown, N.Y., Two weeks before Cooperstown the Combat cracked and was unusable, so I called Justbats and they were terrific, unfortunately they did not have the replacement size but offered several options to help, My son was comfortable with that bat, the size and weight, so Justbats gave us the direct number to Combat. The treated us like garbage, I talked to many different people at Combat and they were awful. I shipped (overnight) the bat back to Combat and called every day to see if they got the bat yet and it seemed that I was just bothering them and they told me they had to do a complete evaluation on the bat when they got it and they were not going to work with me at all, I was at my wits end and called Justbats and told them of my experience and that we were leaving for Cooperstown in 4 days, A supervisor for Justbats called me back immediately, He told me to hold on and called Combat factory and conferenced me in, The Justbats Supervisor told Combat people of the situation and instructed Combat to put a Combat B2 bat into a box and overnight it to my son and he would assume all responsibility, Combat followed the instructions, we got the bat in time, went to Cooperstown, N.Y. week (12Tournament of Champions week) Our team was the EMass. Allstars and we faced the terrific Manhattan Beach Eaters, We were losing 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning against an outstanding team and pitcher ( Lars Nutebar) when my 11 year old son stepped to the plate, 1 out, man on 1st, with his new bat hit a walk off bomb homerun to win the national championship. I personaly think my son was totally focussed because Justbats put his bat (security blanket)in his hands, I cant thank Justbats enough for stepping up and helping us fofill this huge baseball experience.
