Pros:  This bat swung very light as others have mentioned. Went with a 32" because my old 33" was too heavy on the end. This bat feels extremely light. If you are looking the lightest BBCOR bat I would recommend this one.

Cons:  Sound, has a weird ping. Different than other bats on my team

Pros:  Nice pop, good look, and the grip tape is nice. This is probably the most balanced and light weight BBCOR bat on the market. It has a great price.

Cons:  The grip tape does get dirty.

Pros:  Good pop, well balanced. LS has very easy and quick return policy.

Cons:  We have gone through 2 of these since the beginning of the season. Our team has actually gone through 4. In all instances the cap came flying off and cracked. LS says they have fixed the problem, but the early runs will still have these issues. I would only get bats directly from LS to guarantee they haven't been sitting in a warehouse as a first run.

Pros:  1)You know you hit it well with this bat based on the sound 2)Very balanced; you dint get that with many bats except the Louisville slugger. easton and demarini are top heavy so you will be more of a slap hitter with those bats but you will get extra base hits with this bat 3) Besides performance the look is awesome!!! it looks like the old timberwolves jerseys

Cons:  Louisville slugger didn't remake it. It is now the assault The handle gets dirty It vibrates when you don't hit it clean in cold weather

Pros:  If your a power or contact hitter, this is the bat for you. No joke. Sweet spot feels like nothing, ball flys off the bat. even ground balls get hit hard with the omaha. Within 3 games of use i already hit my first bomb of my career. The new balanced feel is not a lie, you would think being a one piece it would be end weighted. Not even close. Balanced feel, stiff swing through the zone. If you wanna hit the ball to the moon, this is the bat for you

Cons:  vibrates alot if not hit on the sweetspot, chips paint easily. Nothing major that cant be corrected with practice, or if you dont care if it gets scratched.

Does this have more pop than the Assault?

"Pop" is more of a term associated with the skill of the player rather than a measurable feature of the bat. The performance and design of the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB136) compared extremely closely with the Louisville Slugger Assault BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBAS14-RR).

Which bat has a better MOI the 2015 Louisville Slugger Omaha BBCOR or the 2014 Easton S2? Which bat would you recommend?

The MOI should be fairly similar on the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB136) and the Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14S1) they are both well balanced models and have a light swing. The S1 may be a bit easier to generate bat speed with because of the flex it offers. Other than that, it would come down to whether you prefer alloy bats or composite material bats.

Are the balance of this and the Assault the same? What about performance and sweet spot?

Yes, the Assault and the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB136) will have very much the same balance. They are very light during the swing.

Do you think this bat, the Assault, or the 2015 Omaha is a better bat? Which has a bigger sweet spot?

The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB136), 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBAS14-RR), and the 2015 Louisville Slugger Omaha 515 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBO5153) will all have similar sized sweet spots because they are very similar designs. The new 2015 Omaha will have the best durability which should make its performance last a bit longer than on the previous models.

I'm looking for a durable bat to last 1 year or more. I am looking at this bat and the Easton S1. Would this bat have a longer life span because it's aluminum or will the S1 last longer?

Both the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB136) and the 2014 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14S1) will be very durable models. In general, we have seen composite barrel bats like the Easton S1 last a bit longer in their peak performance level than aluminum models.

I am a 5 foot tall freshmen and I weigh 110 pounds. What size bat should I get? Would this be a good bat for me?

Based on your height and weight we would suggest either a 29 or 30 inch bat. The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR (BB136) would be a good choice because it is available in the length that would work well for you and it is well balanced so it will have a light swing weight which can help produce better bat speed.

Both the Louisville Slugger EXOGRID 3 BBCOR (BB13EX) and the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR (BB136) would be good options. The Exogrid 3 will flex a bit more which would be more beneficial for contact hitting and the Omaha would be more stiff which would be more beneficial for a power hitter.

Should I get this bat or the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo? Which one do you think is better?

Both the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR (BB136) and the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) would be good options. The preference between the two would be based on your preference for the weighting and design of the bat. The Omaha is a one-piece alloy design while the Voodoo is an end-loaded two-piece hybrid design. Both will be high performing and will live up to BBCOR standards. Power hitters would tend to prefer the Voodoo while more of a contact hitter would like the balanced Omaha.

I'm 6'3 210 lbs. What bat would work well for me? Do I sound like a power or contact hitter?

Based on your approximate height and weight, the suggested length we would recommend would be 34 inches. I would also guess based on your build that power hitting would be more closely related to the type of playing style that would fit you. The one-piece alloy design on the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR would be very fitting for a power hitter. The construction and material would make it very easy to generate good bat speed and pop.

Hi there. I used my mates version of this bat last week and I'm interested in the 2014 model as it felt good. However, it made a ping unlike any bat I have ever heard in 20 years of ball. Is that an issue, and why is that the case?

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult will have that ping sound due to the alloy material used in the design of the bat. Some players prefer a loud ping, while others don't. It is more of a player preference.

Our son needs an alloy bat due to playing in cold weather. He currently has a 2012 TPX Omaha which he says is "clunky". His favorite bat has been the CF5 2012 and 2013. He is a contact hitter, with above average bat speed. What do you recommend replacing his Omaha with that is appropriate for cold weather when he can't use his CF5?

Even when using the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult bat that is all alloy a minimum temperature of 60 degrees is recommended. If it is colder than that, you run the risk of bat damage. If he plays in colder weather try a wood bat option. As long as his league will allow that.

What is the difference between this year's Omaha and last year's Omaha? And also, is the difference in balance between the two significant, because I swung last year's Omaha and it didn't feel too balanced.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 is a very balanced model. While most BBCOR bats use thicker barrel walls to meet the performance certifications, the 2013 Omaha Balanced utilizes a composite ring below the sweet spot. This ring allows the Omaha to have thin barrel walls, which helps it maintain a very light swing weight, but to also meet the BBCOR certification. I am 5'6'' and 155 pounds and I currently swing a 31'' 2012 Easton Typhoon. Would this bat have a light swing weight so I could move up to a 32'' for next season?

Based on your height and weight, a 32" bat is recommended. The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR has a light swing weight and is very balanced. It would be an easy transition from a 31" to a 32".

Hi, Question. What is better the 2013 Omaha or the 2013 TPX Exogrid3?

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult bat will be a One-Piece all Alloy design. It will feature the ST+20 Alloy construction. The bat will have superb balance when swinging through the hitting zone. The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 3 BBCOR will be a Hybrid style bat. The barrel will still be made of AC21 Scandium Alloy material while the handle will be made of Composite Inserts. This will help with eliminating the sting or vibration that might travel to the hands during contact. Both of these bats will feature Louisville Slugger's Flex Band technology which will allow for the Lowest MOI (Moment Of Inertia) on the BBCOR market today. Which means you'll be swinging a lighter feeling bat with increased bat speed and balance through the hitting zone.
