Cons: I have no cons
amcclow
Pros: Solid bat. Bought it for my son and he hits it solid in the tunnel. Hasn't seen game time action yet but it has good pop and great sound when hit solid.
Cons: Not sure it is as hot as the VooDoo that I was looking at for him. He's hit that one in the same practice tunnel and I think he hits the ball harder with the VooDoo but this bat was $100 less so we'll see how it works in game situations.

Pros: Bat has a hot sweet spot, huge trampoline effect. Negative weight ratio is great
Cons:
SMILEY
Pros: This bat is a great one for a small contact hitter if you hit it hard on the sweetspot its headed to the outfield
Cons: small barrel, making it hard to really get a hold of it every time
Jack Attack
Pros: Bought this for my 9 year old son two months ago. When he hits it in the sweet spot, the ball pops. Graphics are great.
Cons: Truth be told, we bought the wrong bat. We bought the 29-16 and it is simply too light for my son. He swings a lot harder than I thought and the light weight of this bat really threw off his timing. He has been using his teammates -10 Big Barrel Omaha and doing much better. The sweet spot is very small on the -13 as well. Will donate to a little league team.

Cons: the only part I'm worried about is the top green piece might fall off.

Pros: when the ball is hit on the sweet spot, it can be a pretty solid double. grips pretty cool.
Cons: the barrel is waayyyy to small. if your gonna buy a -13 alloy just spend 40 more dollars on the s3. the vibration is also killer

My son is 7 years old and is currently utilizing the Easton Reflex 28", 15oz. The bat seems a little too long for him and being that he is a small kid I was thinking of purchasing the Louisville Omaha 27", 14oz. Not sure if that would make much of a difference. He is playing on a 7U travel team this summer and I would rather have him get situated with a bat sooner rather than later. Would this bat be a good option? My son is 4'7", and is a left handed contact hitter. He doesn't have much power, but is more than capable of dropping the ball into the shallow outfield. He had a lot of luck with the 2013 Easton Reflex, but may need a new bat due to growing. How will this one stack up? Doogie

My son is 10 years old, 4' 10", and approx. 85 lbs.. He has been using a 29" Easton Reflex for the last 2 years, and it is time to upgrade to a new bat. About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
