Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 2: YB12EX2 Youth |
Average Customer Review
looks nice good grip nice pop to it
During the second game of the season my son hit a triple and left it with a ding it didn't seam like a very hard hit or anything. Afterwards remembering about the warranty I wanted to trade it in but if you read the FINE PRINT ''it doesn't cover small dings and there bats are made of ultra thin walls to maximize performance''. By the way YOU pay shipping for a chance that it might be exchanged. In the end I say it's an ok bat if you got the money to keep buying a new one. cost too much and didn't last very long.

My 13 year old son had a Easton Speed bat when he was 10, what bat would be comparable today? I am looking for my 7 yr old who weighs 60 lbs (not sure of height). He is strong, athletic, and has a strong swing. He will be hitting off a pitching machine.
The Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 2: YB12EX2 Youth bat would not be very comparable to the old Easton Speed. A comparable bat is the 2013 Easton S1: YB13S1 Youth bat. This bat would be good for your younger son also.
Is this bat approved for Little League? I did not see it on the approved list - http://www.littleleague.org/Assets/forms_pubs/2012LicensedBatList.xlsx, so I wanted to make sure before I purchased it for my 10 year old. Thanks for your help!
The Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID2: YB12EX2 Youth is approved for Little League. It is the third bat listed on page 4 of the assets/forms link.
Does this bat come with a USSSA stamp?
No, it will not have the new USSSA stamp, but USSSA is not requiring youth bats to have the new stamp until 2014.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were bo.... read more
