Pros: Excellent wood bat at a great price. 7 year old son swings it stronger than his Omaha LE. Good for training.
Cons: None.
Pros: held up well during tournament weight to length ratio good for 12-13 year olds
Cons: would be nice to have a bigger barrel if it did not add to much weight
Pros: Nice bat for training and building strength. Overall good training bat. Does have good pop.
Cons: I found this bat not to be as well balanced as the M9 Louisville Slugger, a little top heavy even with the cupped end.
Pros: A very good bat for young kids. I bought it when i was ten and used it again at 13 and broke on the first swing. AWESOME FOR YOUNG PLAYERS!
Cons:
Pros: Good weight distribution and pop. Bought a 28" for my 10-year-old to use in a wood bat tournament and he liked it so much he's talking about using it instead of his Easton Quantum in league play.
Cons: Dark finish gets marked up easily.
Pros: Great bat to strengthen player's forearms and hands. Well balanced--7 yr hits practice with this and he feels he's swinging a guitar when switches to aluminum. When you make solid contact, has excellent pop. Price is great.
Cons: None at the moment.
Pros: Nice little bat--took a beating and no damage.
Cons: none
Pros: This is a very good bat for young kids to learn how to hit with wood bats. Large sweet spot to help teach how to center the ball. Good Weight distribution
Cons: No notable issues thus far
Pros: good pop
Cons:
Pros: it is a good
Cons:
Pros: Best bat I have ever hit in my life great bat to buy for an extremely good price
Cons: Great bat to buy I really don't know how you can go wrong with it
Pros: this is the first wood bat my son has ever used and his first practice hit it out of the park...what an awsome pop this bat has....played in a wood bat tournament in cooperstown recently and was the first one tohit o homerun...this bat is great....good gob louisville sluger...
Cons: none
Pros: 9 year old using in cage, soft toss, and off tee and has improved bat speed. i use it to hit to kids in practice and actually like it better than a fungo for grounders and fly balls. sure you can get better bats, but for the price consider what you want to use it for and decide.
Cons: none
Pros: Nicely made. My 9 year old loves the finish.
Cons: At approximately 24 oz. for the 30 inch, it's heavy. I laughed when I read the reviews where people indicated their 7 year olds use this bat. LOL...no chance. 7 year old kids do not swing 24 oz. bats...nonsense. Probably the same people that say their 7 years olds play up on the 10AAA travel team. Good stuff!!! LOL...
Pros: Boss bat w/good paint job. Lots of pop
Cons: none
Pros: great bat...love it for cages
Cons:
Pros: Nice looking, well made
Cons: Much heavier than indicated 29" bat weighs 25.5 oz, heaiver than my son's MLB225yb bat, which is 23.5oz
Pros: I love this bat because of the weight.
Cons: None.
Pros: good looking bat out of the box
Cons: to top heavy
Pros: Quality wood bat for the price. Nice, straight grain wood and clean finish.
Cons: Way too heavy for most kids needing a 27" bat. The bat we received weighed 24.5 oz; more than a 29" bat we have that's 22.5 oz. Coming from a 27" (-11) aluminum bat, it's too big of an increase. My son is smaller, which doesn't help. It would be nice if justbats could put an average weight in the product descriptions.
Pros: For the price the best wood bat around. My son uses it in the cage. In fact 4 of the best players on the team use the bat during BP. With it being 25 oz. it makes your other bats feel like a feather. Slim barrel means you need to work to get to the sweet spot.
Cons: Slick grip, gloves make it ok.
Pros: Good pop with awesome paint job.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Pros: i love the way it looks, how it feels and a lot of the attributes about it are good
Cons: its a little heavy to be a 29 inch bat but i get it because its a wood bat

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
