Ask A QuestionAre these weighted evenly?
The Louisville Slugger Maple Wood Bat: HM125BH Adult is a balanced bat.
Is this bat a -3?
This bat is actually a -2, and that is an approximate ration given to us by the manufacturer. It could vary from bat to bat.
Do wood bats have to be BBCOR compliant for use in high school tournaments? If so, which bat do you recommend? If not, is this maple wood Louisville Slugger a good choice for high school junior varsity player? (Team does 1-2 wood bat tournaments/year.)
The ruling, as explained to us is, wood bats do not require the BBCOR certification, only metal bats of any sort. The one grey area that we've not received a definite answer to is the wood/composite bats. This bat, the Maple Wood is an excellent choice for high school.
