Pros:
My overall plate appearances has kept me up in the .300 avg, ever since using my 271 Louis.
Cons:
Subject to crack in high speed pitching games, unless you know how to truly use the bat correctly. Otherwise, mines been lasting for already two seasons.

Which is lighter? the 271 the 110 or the 243?

All will have an approximate -3 length to weight ratio. However, the 243 has the biggest barrel to handle ratio and will feel just a little heavier than the other two.

When selecting a wooden bat, what material is best? Maple, Ash, Bamboo?

Depends on who you ask. Maple is harder and thought to be more durable than ash. Ash will be more flexible and the baseball often feels softer at contact. Bamboo is just as durable as maple and performs just as well as the two others. Maple is the most popular followed by Ash then Bamboo. This is because Maple and Ash are the most widely accepted wood bats no matter what league you play in.

About Louisville Slugger
Louisville Slugger

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball.  But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime. Here's a short video promo from Louisville Slugger.

Customer Testimonial

I was impressed with the fast shipping. I was able to track the bat after it had been shipped and it showed up at my door approximately ten minutes after I had just checked on its location. I was very pleased with the bat. I would not hesitate to order from your company again.
