Description

The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its second season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, and S3). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton's patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can't be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The XL3 is BBCOR Certified and approved for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

When will you come out with a 32" 29 oz. 2014 XL3? Dan

My 15 year old son is 5'7" 175 lbs. What size bat should he be swinging? playmaker
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR (BB14X3).
Kara
Which 2014 Easton BBCOR model under $200 is best for me? I am 5' 7" 125 lbs and a line drive/contact hitter and a freshman. Jeremy
The 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR: BB14X3 Adult is an endloaded model more suited for power hitters. For a contact hitter, I would recommend the Easton S3 BBCOR. The S3 is very balanced and easy to swing.
Justin R.
What is the difference in regards to a XL1, XL2 or XL3 models? Ed
The difference between these models is the materials they are made of and the construction of the bats. The XL1 is a two piece, fully composite design. The XL2 is a two piece hybrid design, meaning it has a composite handle and an alloy barrel. The XL3 is a one piece alloy design.

My son likes the Louisville Wood 243 Touring bat, what BBCOR (non-wood bats) is closes to this style bat? Also I had ask a prior question that I believe I put the wrong email address on and that is what is the differences between the XL1,XL2 and XL3 models? Thank you Ed
The 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR (BB14X1) Adult or the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult would resemble a 243 turn because of their end-loaded weight design. The difference between the XL series is the The 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR (BB14X1) Adult is a 2-piece full composite. The 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR (BB14X3) Adult is a 1-piece full alloy.
Aaron
Does Easton make a 31" or 32" XL3 BBCOR bat? All I am able to find are 32" and 34" in that model? If so, when will the smaller sizes be available? Ray
The Easton XL3 (BB14X3) unfortunately does not come in a 31" or 32". The Easton XL1 (BB14X1) does come in a 31" and 32". We do have the XL1 (BB14X1) in a 32" and are expecting to get more 31" in. It could take 2 to 4 weeks to when we receive the 31" in (BB14X1).
Zach
which is better the 2014 Easton XL3 or the 2013 Easton XL1? dspikebaseball
If you are more of a power hitter I would suggest going with the 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR: (BB14X3) because it will incorporate an end-loaded one-piece alloy design, which will be great for generating power and boosting swing speed. If you are more of a contact/gap hitter, I would suggest going with the 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR: (BB14X1). This will be a hybrid design, incorporating both alloy and composite material. It will be a little bit stiffer and will be very durable, great for contact hitters.
Merritt
Does this bat come in 32"/29oz length/weight? Austin
No, that bat is unavailable in a 32"/29oz option.
Kyle J.
I'm 5'7" and 160 pounds and a gap to gap hitter. Which would be better XL1 or XL3? Nick D Bp
The 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR (BB14X3) features a stiff, one-piece alloy design, whereas the XL1 features a two-piece fully composite design. They both feature the same slightly end loaded swing weight. The bat that would be best for you depends on if you prefer a stiff bat (like the XL3) or if you like the flex that the XL1 will give you with the two-piece design.
Tessa L.
I'm 5 foot 8 and weigh 130 pounds. I am more of a power hitter. Which should I get out of all the XL series? Garrett
A power hitter would probably tend to prefer a stiffer flexing bat so the 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR (BB14X3) would be a very nice option. All of the XL series models will feature an end loaded design that would be beneficial for a power hitter type.
Patrick
Do they have this in a 31 inch 28 ounce size? stud
The 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14X3) was produced in that size but it was discontinued from production so we will not be getting any more in.
