This is an excellent two-piece bat. If your daugher is strong and hits for power, I would look at a one-piece bat. If she is more of a contact and line drive hitter, I would look more towards a two-piece bat.

I play softball in a cold climate for most of the season. Would this bat be appropriate for use in cold weather? Jes
With most composite bats (like this one) it is recommended to avoid using them when it is colder than 55 or 60 degrees out. Alloy bats have the tendency to hold up a little better in colder temps.

Which bat is the better choice the Easton Stealth Speed or the DeMarini CF5 Hope or should I be looking for another bat for 12 year old grandaughter. Seems to be durability issues with Easton Grandad
Both will be pretty comparable in terms of performance, with a slight edge going to the Stealth in my opinion. If durability is your main concern I may lean towards the CF5 as it has displayed pretty good durability thus far.

That depends on who you ask. Both are extremely high performing fastpitch bats. The Stealth Speed has an excellent track record and is always atop the fastpitch market in terms of popularity and performance. The New DeMarini CF5 features a brand new composite that has proven to be very high performing and durable. Honestly, one is not better performing than the other.

Hi!!! Im a 5'6 7th grade softball player and I am use to fast pitchers. I use a 33/23 but I was wondering when I get to high school if I'll need a lighter bat like a 32/22? softballstar21
That's hard to say without seeing you swing. If you can maintain good swing speed with a 23 ounce bat then there probably isn't any reason to move down to a 22 ounce.

I was as part of an answer to a question you said contact hitters should use 2 piece and power hitters one piece bats. Why is that? Willy
One piece bats will have less flex so you are able to hit the ball a little longer. Two piece bats will have more flex for a contact hitter not going to power or not able to hit for power.

my daughter is 12 yrs old 90pds.she hits with the older stealth 1peice. would the 2peice help or hurt her. shes not very strong but has alot of distance on ball with 1 peice ?? softball
I would recommend a one piece bat. This is going to give her the best chance while up at the plate. The one piece will have less flex so she will be able to be a contact hitter. The two piece bats are going to be more for a power hitter.

Compared to other composite bats of similar quality, the SSR3B does not break at a higher rate than others. The SSR3B has been one of the highest performing, most popular, and best selling softball bats on the market in recent memory. How does this bat compare with the Easton Synergy Speed? Are they both a double wall bat? craver29
The difference between the Stealth Speed and Synergy Speed is that the Stealth is a two-piece bat and the Synergy is a one-piece bat. The Stealth will be better suited for contact or gap hitters as the Synergy will be more beneficial for stronger players who hit for power. They are both composite bats. All composite bats are made with multiple layers of composite material, but the Synergy and Speed will be considered single wall bats.

Strong power hitters often prefer one-piece bats. Easton makes great bats and I would recommend the Synergy Speed SRV4B or Easton Synge SRV6B. The Synergy Speed will be a little better performing than the Synge.

Hi, My daughter plays college softball up in Maine. She uses the subject bat but was told by a friend her current bat has two strikes. Not sure what that means. Next question, she hits the ball hard and for distance. She normally goes the other way and, with this bat, has hit the rf fence many, many times (has hit a few HRs. She likes this bat but I'm wondering, with her added size and power, is she using the right bat? Gary V
If she is a good strong batter, she might want to consider a 1 piece composite, like the Easton Synergy.

The most comparable bat to the Easton Stealth Speed Fastpitch Softball Bat (SSR3B) would be the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) and the 2015 Easton FS1 ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S110). These are both going to feature an evenly balanced swing weight and be two piece composite designs.
