Pros:
We used this bat as a replacement for the Freak 98 which finally gave out on us. Only thing to say is my whole team digs this bat. Great feel, great pop and great all around bat by Easton. I have some MONSTER HR's come off this bat. Well worth the $199
Cons:
NONE so far except ours broke in the first 4 weeks but every single player was using it

Hi. Does this bat come in a 28 ounce, and will you be getting it soon?

The Easton Salvo is discontinued and we will not be getting more stock. The 2013 Easton Salvo Comp 98: SP12SV98 Slow Pitch replaced the Easton Salvo and is available in a 34" 28 oz.

Does it say "NSA 2012" on the bat? Colorado senior league requires it.

No, the Easton Salvo does not say "NSA 2012" on the barrel of the bat.

What is the difference between the 2011 vs the 2013 models. Do they have the same pop? Will one be legal for longer, etc?

That's a complex answer because there are multiple 2013 Easton Salvos. Some ASA approved, some not. Some end-loaded, some balanced. Some composite, some alloy...etc. All the 2013 Salvos will have the new USSSA stamp that will be required in 2013.

The trend continues today with bats such as the Tri-Shell and the ConneXion. The patented Tri-Shell design features a super elastic rubb....read more

Description for Easton Salvo: SRV5 Slow Pitch
The Easton Salvo Slow Pitch Softball Bat is here and ready to prove that it is the hottest ASA approved slow pitch bat on the market. Easton has always been one of the industry's best manufacturers and that trend continues with the 2011 Salvo: SRV5. Having enough pop to clear the fence will become an after-thought, and wondering if your ball will ever land will become a reality. The SRV5 is a one piece, full composite bat made from Easton's IMX Composite, which provides the utmost in performance and durability. The SRV5 has a 12" slightly end loaded barrel to add power and consistency to every swing. The 2 ¼" barrel and 29/32" tapered handle provide increased swing speed and comfort. Generating power won't be an issue with this bat, but hiding it from your teammates will. Performance isn't the only thing this bat has going for it; from top to bottom it features a new look for the 2010 season. Stop wondering if you can hit the ball over the fence and go get the Easton Salvo: SRV5 slow pitch softball bat and guarantee it. Approved for ASA, USSSA, ISA, NSA and ISF.
