Description

The Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat! The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its second season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power with great pop. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, and S3). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton's patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can't be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The Easton S3: SL13S310B features the new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: I just bought this bat and I love it. It requires virtually no break in at all. I had two practices with it and I hit two triples, three singles, and one homer in my last tournament. It is very well balanced too.

Cons: My only con is that I wish the sweet spot was a little bigger.

Pros: This bat reminds me of my old school Easton Black Magic! I bought it for my 9 year old and he is crushing the ball. We both love it! Two kids on my team also bought one. Can you say, Championship?

Cons: A little bat sting when you don't hit the sweet spot. When you do hit the sweet spot, it's worth every penny.

Pros: My 11yr old hit 8 home runs last year with the 2012 model. This years 2013 bat he has hit 14 homeruns which are also on the bigger fields. Bat is very well balanced and he seems to get great pop.

Cons: Just dented after 3 months. I usually carry 2 new bats in his bag as he breaks or dents bats each year. Expensive but you can't afford to not have your favorite bat in the middle of a tournament.

Pros: Awesome pop!

Cons: Bought it on a Tuesday, hit it first on a Wednesday in the cage and my 11 year old son put a dent in it after 50-60 balls. He only weighs around 80lbs, so he's no power hitter!

Pros: when it's not dented, it's really good! Great pop and great balance and bat head control as a result. If you have one now, baby it and enjoy it while you can.

Cons: Horrible durability in any weather, but why would you make a bat that can't be used in weather under 60 degrees F? There have been denting issues since this bat was introduced and they have not fixed it. The question is not, "Will it dent?" but "When will it dent?". Answer: when it's very inconvenient to wait for a replacement. Easton customer service says that they see no record from production on any quality issues. Really? I find that hard to believe. Once it dents, Easton will take care of you but you may have to complain to a supervisor first. I noticed that they reduced the warranty period on newer models now. How about fixing the problem instead! My second replacement in 3 months is on the way. They upgraded me to the S1 since I told them I didn't want another one of these and they didn't have the S2 in my son's spec. Hopefully this on will be more durable.

Pros: Good pop, nice looking bat. My son loves it, but it has been dented since early in the season.

Cons: My nine year old has destroyed the first one. We are in the process of returning it. It was dented BADLY on opposite sides and flat on the other two. He weighs 65 lbs. so there is no way he should do that kind of damage to an aluminum bat. An umpire finally threw it out of a game so it's time to send it back. It literally is square now, not round.

Great upgrade! Pat parent

Pros: My son is 7 year old, 4' 9" tall & 62 pounds, played in a house league this summer using an Easton Reflex. He made good contact and generated a lot of singles and doubles. He made the tournament team at the end of the season an I witnessed what the other teams did with the S3 against us. I bought a 29/19 2 weeks ago for him to work out with before trying out for the 8U competitive travel team this past weekend, he almost killed me with a line shot back to the pitchers mound. This bat has a lot of pop, he was pounding the ball all over an my son loves it! The coach just called to inform us he made the 2014 team and specifically commented on his solid hitting.

Cons: Even though it's 2 3/4 you still must hit it square, the sweet spot isn't as big as I thought it would be. If you're still working on good swing mechanics or lack sufficient strength I don't think I would start with this bat. Once you're there spend the money...

Appears to do the trick Jeff Hollifield parent

Pros: My 9 yo son just started playing in his first travel league so bought him this to give him a little more power. In our first outing with it let him swing his normal bat first, which he hits pretty well and gets great contact. The second he got this in his hands he was lining them out of the infield and he was getting around on it pretty good. It was cool to see his smiling face and now can't wait to see how he does in a game! Beautiful graphics!

Cons: Still sends some feedback/vibration back to his hands but could be result of his not hitting it squarely quite yet.

S3 11U Majors Short stop. player

Pros: Hot bat. Have owned Marucci Black, Cat5, TPX, COMbat B3, B4 etc. None have the pop of this bat. Hitting for power and average with this bat. 11 homeruns last spring and already sending them for the long ride this fall too. Incredible.

Cons: Same soft, springy, dynamics of this bat that give it incredible bounce also will dent and bend. It's worth it for the results. Buy the bat pack to always have a back up.

Pros: Very nice bat if your child is a lot smaller than other players, especially for fast lead off hitters like I am. Kind of grew into my XL1 now, but in Babe Ruth this was a good bat. Vibration wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Bat feels great after your first couple of swings.

Cons: Not a lot of pop, paint wears off a little easier than other bats. The barrel is a little small, more of a skinny fast bat.

Best Bat for Contact Hitters DC Baseball Dad parent

Pros: As an 11u, my son averaged over .600 once he switched to this bat. He is normally a contact hitter, but the S3 allowed him to hit many bombs. It is beautifully balanced, yet has a huge barrel. Now that he is a 13U, I wish Easton made the S3 in a -5.

Cons: None. Easton should make this bat in a -5.

Easton got this one right GA Spartan parent

Pros: I bought my sons this model for Christmas 2013 - 29" for 11u and 28" for 8u. Both had a break-out year in their hitting. I keep watching for dents but no issues. My 8u son has cleared 200ft fences so he hits it hard. Between spring and summer games, cage time, and us just going to the park to hit some, he has at least 2000 hits on it and it still has the pop. I will purchase another if this one ever wears out.

Cons: none

How will this bat stack up against the 2013 Worth Prodigy Legit GX4: SLPL10 Senior League? rngersfan24
Both the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B and 2013 Worth Prodigy Legit GX4: SLPL10 are -10 alloy bats with 2 3/4" barrels. The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B has not hit the market yet, so we do not have any feedback regarding it's performance in comparison to the 2013 Worth Prodigy Legit GX4: SLPL10.
Tyler
Sorry - I got my numbers messed up. Can you tell me what the difference is between the SL11S310B vs SL13S310B Jim
The SL11S310B is the previous 2012 model of the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League. The difference between them other than the color will be that the 2013 model will be a little more balanced in swing weight. They will perform very similar to each other as far as performance.
Brandon
How does this bat compare to 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League bat? alex
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League Bat and the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League bat are very comparable. They both are one-piece alloy designs with a 2 3/4 inch barrel and balanced swing weights. Here is a link for further comparison http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Aubrey
This bat has the 1.15 BPF stamp, but is it also a "Qualified BBCOR" bat? ed
No, the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League baseball bat is not a BBCOR bat. All BBCOR bats will be -3 and will have a BBCOR Certified .50 stamp on them.
Jeff
Is there any difference in MOI between this bat and the 2012 model? Why would I get this bat versus the 2012 model? THank you OKBaseball
Both the 2012 and 2013 S3 will be weighted and balanced the same. There were no major upgrades to the 2013 model.
Tyler
My son plays 8U travel. He currently uses the Easton 2012 Easton S3 (-10) 28in. 18oz. He is a contact hitter, line drive singles and occasionally extra base hits to the gaps. He is ready for a new bat and I was wondering if the S1 model would be a noticeable upgrade or should I stick to the S3 model he currently uses. dan
If he is comfortable using the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League and has success with it, we recommend staying with the same bat. The 2013 Easton S1: SL13S110 Senior League will provide more flex than the S3 because of the two-piece design.
Kara
What differance, if any is there in a SL13S310B and a SL11S310B? Al
There is no difference in these bats, except the SL13S310B is the 2013 model. Here is the link to view more details on this new model. http://www.justbats.com/product/2013-easton-s3--sl13s310b-senior-league/15965/
Derek
Are there any significant advantages the 2013 S2 has over the S3 as far as build and performance? CoachTP
The 2013 S2 is a two-piece hybrid bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The S3 is a one-piece full alloy bat. Picking between the two comes down to personal preference. It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate.
Tyler
My son currently uses last years XL3 JBB. It doesn't come in a 29" but the Easton S3 does. I know that the XL3 has thinner walls than the S3, but will the thicker walls in the S3 produce less of a trampoline effect and thus less pop? WifesaysImobsessive
While there are differences in the way each bat is made and what each bat is made of they all have to conform to the USSSA standards in order to be approved by the USSSA. The level of tolerance between the bats is very, very small and so things like "pop" and "trampoline effect" should be very, very similar.
Jeff
Which bat should I get the 2013 Easton S3 or the 2013 Easton S1? This year I had a Easton S3 but sometimes I used my friends S1. I don't know which one yet. Lamorinda5
Both the Easton S1 and S3 are very good options. The S1 is a two-piece fully composite design and the S3 is a one-piece alloy design. We recommend to use the same bat model as you had the most success with in the past.
Aubrey
I read earlier that it is not suggested to use the S1 composite in temps below 55. Would the S3 be better for my son to use? We live in the mountains and it can get a little chilly in the beginning of spring play. Marilyn
Yes, the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is a great cold weather bat.
Zach
Is this bat legal for Babe Ruth play? Steve
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B has a 2 3/4" barrel and is illegal in Babe Ruth play.
Tyler
This bat is legal to play in Cooperstown? mo
We were unable to locate any official rules online for "Cooperstown". Please contact your coach or league director.
Tyler
My son is 12 years old. He is a contact hitter, usually singles and doubles. He is about 80 lbs and doesn't have the fastest swing speed. What would you recommend for him in bat type? Composite, combo or the one piece alloy? I think I have the size and weight down to 30" 20 oz, as I've seen too many kids strike out with bats that are too heavy. Jim
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is a one-piece full alloy bat. Traditionally power hitters prefer this bat because the bat is stiff and the batter will need to generate their own power through the ball. A two-piece bat is generally going to be more flexible and tend to help those contact hitters that don't generate as much power in their swing naturally. The choice between composite and alloy is a hitters preference. Some tend to think that you get added pop from a composite barrel bat. The composite barrel will sound like a wood bat on contact and the alloy will have a "ping" sound. For your son, as a contact hitter, any two-piece, balanced, lightweight bat would be good.
Robert
My son is using a rival xl11-9 30x21 with 2 3/4 barrel. He is a year older and was a great hitter with the rival. What new bat replaces it? We think the rival was the best bat ever and wish we could get that one again. frank
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B replaced the Easton Rival.
Marcus
Hi, my son is 9 years old and is 4' and weighs about 80 lbs. He currently has an old Easton Surge and I'm looking at getting him a new bat. We prefer Easton and wanted to know which bat do you recommend: The SL13S110, the SL13S210 or the SL13S310B? Thanks for your help. MJ
All of the 2013 Easton S series are a great choice. The difference's between them are as follows. The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is a one-piece all Alloy bat. The 2013 Easton S2: SL13S210 Senior League is a two-piece bat that has a Composite handle and and Alloy barrel. The 2013 Easton S1: SL13S110 Senior League is a two-piece Fully Composite bat. The plus to having a two-piece bat is that it will cut down the stinging on his hands. The Composite material is an upgrade from Alloy and is more expensive. All are great fits I personally love the 2013 Easton S2: SL13S210 Senior League. Its is a amazing bat.
Chad
Would this bat be good for coach pitch? ET
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League would probably be too large and heavy for most kids playing coach pitch.
Kevin
My son has used one of his teammates S1 and didn't get the same type of success that he has from his Rival. He has always had success with his Rival and the Black Lithium that sounds just like this bat. (He also liked the Orange Lithium from a few years back). I'm noticing a lot of comments in the reviews, stating that this bat has a "small sweet spot." Is there any reason behind this comment? I am looking at this bat vs. the 2013 Marucci MSBT10 and the Elite. I have noticed that bats that sound like this one he seems to respond to well. Any other you can recommend? Tampa Baseball
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League bat and the 2013 Marucci Team: MSBT10 Black Senior League will be designed the same. They will be one-piece all alloy models. The S3 will have a lighter swing weight. I would pick the 2013 Marucci Elite: MSBELI Senior League bat. It will get him the best overall performance. It will have a light swing weight and feature a two-piece hybrid design.

My son is currently using the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum 29" 19oz. and has had it for about a year now, it's been a really good bat and had lots of pop fresh out the wrapper even hit his first couple of HRs with it, but it seems to be just a good line drive bat with some pop at times. I still believe in the Vexxum but he's getting that new bat itch and i'm thinking about getting him the new 2013 Easton S3. He's about 5ft, 100lbs, he'll be 11 this summer, and has good bat speed and power, but thinking about moving up to the 30" 20oz. S3 what you do recommend? KP
For his size you should be using the 2013 Easton S3 in a 30" 20oz. The bat is a little heavier, but as he gets closer to high school he is going to have to slowly go up in weight anyways.
Noah
Does the XL3 2 3/4 inch barrel come in a length longer than 28 inches. My son loves the bat but is about to turn 9 years old. Jarrod
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League bat is available in a 2 3/4 inch barrel in the larger sizes, but the 2013 Easton XL3: JBB13X3 Junior Big Barrel bat is not available any larger than the 28", because it is for use in coach pitch and some machine pitch leagues.
Robert
I just purchased the 2013 Easton S3 SL13S310B in 30"/20oz. The bat hasn't arrived yet but the reviews of the 2012 S3 model are mostly positive. The cons were that the bat dented. Were there any material changes made to the bat from 2012 to 2013 to prevent dents? The 2012 is THT100 Aluminum and the 2013 says THT100 Scandium Alloy. Wondering if 2013 model is less likely to dent. Coach JG
So far, the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B has displayed slightly better durability than the 2012 model. Easton didn't change much with the S3, but they did make a strong effort to improve the bat's durability.
Tyler
My son currently has an S1 29" 19 oz. 2 5/8". He loves this bat. He can now use a 2 3/4" bat. Is the S3 comparable to the Easton S1? Also can the Easton S1 be used in cold temperatures? scott
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is a one-piece alloy bat and the 2013 Easton S1 is a two-piece composite bat. The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League will be stiffer, better for a power hitter. The 2013 Easton S1 is best suited for a contact hitter. It should not be used below 55 degrees.
Kara
Is this bat any different from the 2012 model? My son has last years model and loves it! Just wondering if we should upgrade to this years S3? Thanks. Fireftr21
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is the same as the 2013 Easton S3: SL11S310B with the exception of the graphics.
Kara
Is this a bat that can last for at least one year and still have good pop? baseball 3232
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League should last for at least a full season and maintain its production. Given it has a 2 3/4" barrel though, there are no guarantees since the walls are thinner than those of a bat with a smaller barrel.
Marcus
My son needs a -3 bat for his league. I am looking for a 29" 26 oz. bat. Do you carry a bat in that size? victor E
If you are needing a 29" 26 oz. BBCOR bat, I would recommend the 2013 Easton S3 BBCOR: BB13S3 Adult.
Marcus
What size should I use? I play 12u travel ball. I'm 12 and I'm 5 foot 85 pounds. I swing my 31" 19 oz. too easily. It is too light I cant even feel the bat. zack
Based on that information, a 31" 21 oz. model of the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B is recommended.
Tyler

Other than length options, do the demensions of the barrel of the SL13S310 differ any from the JBBS1 or JBB13X3? Does one offer a larger sweet spot? Thank you. Scott
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League bat will have an average length to its barrel. The XL-Series will have an extended barrel design that will feel longer.
Brandon
I'm 12 and I weigh 110 lbs and am 5'6", what is a appropriate size for me? baseball1317
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey
I have a son on an 8U kid pitch travel team. He is 4' 5" and 58 pounds. What would be a good size bat for him? Length and weight. Cal
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend a 29" model. As for the weight, it's hard for us to give out a recommendation. The weight a player will use best is determined by many other factors. But the most common length to weight ratio, in Youth Big Barrel bats, would be -10. So the 29" model would weigh 19 ounces. For more sizing information, check out our Bat Coach tool: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Mac
What is the difference between the youth S1 and the Senior League bat? How do I pick between the XL1 and S1? HBomb
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is a big barrel bat. The youth Easton S1 is a small barrel bat. The Easton XL1 is an end loaded bat and is better for a power hitter. The Easton S1 is a balanced bat, best suited for a contact hitter who needs to increase their bat speed.
Kara
I am trying to determine which bat to purchase for my son. The Easton S1 or the S3 in a 30" 20 oz. model. My son is 100 lbs, 5'0", and 11 years old. He has average bat speed, hits for contact and not for power. I can't decide whether to go for composite or aluminum. Vinnie
The Easton S1 and Easton S3 are both well balanced bats designed for contact hitters. The Easton S1 will be higher performing because of the composite two-piece design.
Damon
My son 10 years old was used the last season Easton Rival 30" 20 oz. (-10) 2 3/4 barrel. I want to buy the same but it was discontinued. Which bat is the replacement for this Easton Rival bat? Jose
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League replaced the Easton Rival.
Kara
What is the difference between the 2013 S3 and the S2? tyler baseball
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League bat is a one-piece alloy design where the Easton S2 features an alloy barrel and composite handle. They both feature balanced swing weights.
Aubrey
What is the difference between 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B & 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310? Pete
The only difference is the barrel size. The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League has a 2 3/4" barrel and the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310 Senior League has a 2 5/8" barrel.
Kara
What is the difference between composite barrels and aluminum? bob
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League features an alloy barrel and is hot right out of the wrapper. Most composite bats require a break-in period prior to being ready for game-use. For more detailed information on each material, feel free to check out our Bat Buying Guides: http://www.justbats.com/buying-guides/baseball-bats/
Mac
Could I use this bat in Cal Ripken? TheBomb
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is not legal in Cal Ripken. The 2013 Easton S3: YB13S3 Youth is legal in Cal Ripken.
Kara
I play in Babe Ruth League 13- 15 Seniors so I can use a big barrel. Is this barrel size (2 3/4") allowed to be used, or if I would have to get a 2 5/8" barrel size? Sebastian
The Babe Ruth League does not allow bats with 2 3/4" barrels in any division. You would not be able to use the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League, but you could still use the SL13S310. For more information on your league's rules, check out our Bat Buying Guides: http://www.justbats.com/buying-guides/baseball-bats/youth-big-barrel/
Mac
Does this bat have more pop than the 2 5/8 barrel? jr
No. The Easton S3 2 5/8" barrel and the Easton S3 2 3/4" barrel are made of the same alloy.
Damon
What is the difference between the SL13S310 and the SL13S310B? greg
The only difference between the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League and SL13S310 is the barrel diameter of both bats. The SL13S310B has the larger 2 3/4" barrel diameter while the SL13S310 has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter.
Mac
I have an 8 year old playing travel. We have the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha and need to go to the next size 29" 19 oz. Which would you recommend, this Easton or the Louisville for performance and durability? mike
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League and the Louisville Slugger Omaha will both be one-piece balanced bats. You will not see a difference in performance or durability.
Noah
My son is playing 9U kid pitch this year and it will be his 1st year using a big barrel bat. Would a 2 3/4" or 2 5/8" barrel be better? ds
The 2 3/4" barrel diameter of the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League would provide the player with a larger hitting surface which would be more beneficial. However, 2 3/4" barrel diameters are not approved in all leagues, so it would be best to double-check with a league official or coach prior to making that decision.
Mac
Is this bat used? Eddie
This 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is brand-new and in the wrapper. Only bats that have a blue "DEMO" sticker on their picture and product description have been used.
Mac
I'm 13 years old and I'm around 5'4". I'm also 130 lbs. What size and type should I get? me
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey
My son is 10 yrs old, 4' 6" and 105 lbs. When he hits the sweet spot, he will hit a home run. He has a power swing. What do you think? Mimi
Both the Easton S3 and the Easton S1 will be good options. The S1 is two-piece composite and the S3 is a one-piece alloy bat. I would go with the material your son is more comfortable with.
Justin R.
I am 5'2, 150 lbs. What bat do you think fits me? BJO
Our charts are suggesting a 31" for your height and weight. Feel free to check out our Bat Coach for all your sizing questions. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

My 11 year old son is playing Intermediate this fall for the first time and his composite is not allowed. I've been recommended to look at the Easton big barrel. He's 5'0, 110 lbs. Any suggestions on S1 or XL models? Thanks. Baseball Dad
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is not allowed in Intermediate division. The largest barrel size is 2 5/8". The Easton XL1 series is end loaded and designed for a power hitter. The Easton Speed Series bats are best suited for a player that needs to increase their bat speed.
Kara
My son is 6 and he is going to play select ball 7U. Which bat would you recommend the S1 or the S3? duhon
If he is a power hitter we recommend the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League. If he is a contact hitter the 2013 Easton S1: SL13S110 Senior League is a better option.
Kara
Is this bat a big barrel? Jim
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League would be considered a big barrel bat. It has a 2 3/4" barrel diameter which is not approved for all Youth leagues. It's always best to double-check with a coach or league official to determine whether or not the bat is approved for your league.
Mac
Is this bat BBCOR approved? I will be playing 13U and we are only allowed to use BBCOR bats. Ryan

Based on his height and weight, our Bat Coach tool recommends a 31" model of the 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League. If he thought the 21 oz. weight was a little heavy, the 30" model is still within his recommendations.
Mac
Is this barrel 2 5/8? If so why does the website say its 2 3/4? I'm looking for model: SL13S310 Length: 29in Weight:29oz mike

The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League is going to be a one-piece alloy design with a 2 3/4" barrel. The Easton S1 will be a two-piece fully composite design with a 2 5/8" barrel. Both the S3 and the S1 will feature th new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp and have a balanced swing weight.
Jason
My son swings the 2013 Omaha Louisville Slugger 29/19. He is a power hitter. He is 9 years old looking for a bat to help him get around on the ball quicker. So would this work? nick mom
The 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League bat will feature the same design as the Omaha. It will be a one-piece fully alloy bat. It will also swing very balanced. I would say it will have a similar swing weight compared to the 2013 Louisville Slugger Omaha.
Brandon
My son plays on a 12u travel team. He is 55 inches tall and about 80 pounds and is a contact hitter. Would you suggest the 2013 S2 or the 2013 S3? Also what size? He currently uses a 2013 S3 31 inch drop 13 2 1/4 inch barrel. lhp
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 29" 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League. The Easton S2 is a two-piece design with a composite handle and alloy barrel and is preferred by contact hitters. The Easton S3 is a one-piece all alloy design and has stiffer feel that is preferred by power hitters.
Jason
I'm thinking about buying the S1 and S3 bat pack. I'm about 5'3" and 100 lbs. I looked at the sizing chart and a 31" bat is suggested but I've grown a few inches in the past 2 months so do you think I could buy both 32"? zack
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2013 Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League. You could very well go up in size to a 32", if you believe you can handle the extra length and weight. Ultimately, sizing is a player preference. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

My son was a huge fan of the Worth Lithium Prodigy SLP102. Loved the pop, but loved the balance of the bat even more. Trying to find a replacement one-piece alloy, with good feedback, pop, and balance. Would this be the best alternative? Joe
The 2013 Easton S3 (SL13S310B) is a very balanced, one-piece alloy bat. It is very high performing and is similar in performance to the Worth Lithium Prodigy.
Kara
Are these composite bats? Alisha
The 2013 Easton S3 (SL13S310B) is a one-piece alloy bat.
Kara
My son just got this bat last month. Why does the bat sound flat? He gets good pop in the batting cages but no pop in live pitching. Any reason why this could be? Beto
I am unsure as to why the Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League would be acting differently between the cages and the games. If you'd like to call Easton about a possible defect their direct number is 1-888-259-1297.
Brandon
Will using the Easton S3 at the batting cages harm the bat? Dennis
We do not recommend using any non-wood bat, including the Easton S3: SL13S310B Senior League, in commercial batting cages that use yellow "dimple" balls. These balls are more dense than the game balls that the bats are designed to hit. Also, many manufacturers list in their warranty details that hitting these balls will void your warranty against defects.
Mac
Does this bat have more pop than the S1? big bryce
The Easton S1 and Easton S3 are both well balanced bats designed for contact hitters. The Easton S1 will be higher performing because of the composite two-piece design.
Tessa L.

Gary T.
Would this bat be recommened for a power hitter? Will
