Which new Easton bat is the most similar to the Easton Synergy Flex (silver with blue handle)? I like everything about S1 but reading the reviews of paint chipping really can turn a guy away.

The 2013 Easton S2: SP13S2 Slow Pitch is the most similar to the Easton Synergy Flex. The 2013 Easton S1: SP13S1 Slow Pitch is most similar to the Easton Stealth. Both bats use upgraded technology for better durability and performance.

What is the difference, besides the certifications, between the S1 and the B3.0?

The 2014 Easton B3.0: SP13B3 features a new SIC composite in the handle that will be a little more durable and do a better job of reducing sting compared to the 2013 Easton S1: SP13S1.

What's the difference in performance from the S1 and S2?

The 2013 Easton S1: SP13S1 Slow Pitch will be a two-piece design. The 2013 Easton S2 Slow Pitch bat will be a one-piece design. Both will have 13.5" barrel lengths, and evenly balanced swing weights. Both will have the same pop, but the one-piece S2 will feel stiffer when swinging through the zone.

Why is the bat only under warranty for 6 months?

Easton is the one who manufactures the bats, and decides what kind of warranty to put on the bats. Some slow pitch bats do not have a warranty so they went with a 6 month warranty on the Easton S1.

Does the two piece version come in an XL (slightly end loaded) and 30 oz?

There will be a new two-piece composite model released on February 7, 2013 that is end loaded. It is the L1.0 SP13L1. However, it is only USSSA approved.

Description for Easton S1 Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP13S1
New for 2013! There's a good chance that if you're only exposure to bats is through slow pitch softball, you may not have heard about the HOTTEST new series of bats sweeping through the ranks of baseball. The Easton POWER BRIGADE was created with one thing in mind: Increasing a player's POWER! Easton understands that power is not achieved the same way for every player. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into the Speed Series and XL Series. Speed Series bats feature an evenly balanced swing weight for players that aren't quite as strong. This allows them to maximize their swing speed and, consequently, produce more power with each swing. The XL Series on the other hand, features a slightly end-loaded swing weight so that stronger players can get more mass and momentum behind each swing... also resulting in more power. The S1 features a two-piece design with ConneXion Technology for maximum energy transfer. The 13.5" barrel on the S1 is constructed from Easton's IMX Composite that optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance. Isn't it time you started MAXIMIZING YOUR POWER? Easton: Personalize Your Power! The S1 features the new ASA stamp and is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Six (6) Month Manufacturer's Warranty.
