My 7 year old is 52 inches tall and weighs 62 lbs. He currently uses an Easton Rival, 28" 15 oz. bat. I am looking to buy him a new bat that is comparable to the Easton Rival. Would this bat be similar?
The Easton Reflex: LX73 Youth would be a comparable bat to the Easton Rival as both models have balanced, one-piece alloy designs. Based on results from our Bat Coach tool (http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/), we would recommend a 28" bat, or even 29" to allow for growth.
Does this bat have a USSSA stamp on it?
The Easton Reflex: LX73 Youth is BPF 1.15 certified, but it does not feature the new USSSA stamp.
I bought the -13 Reflex 31" so my son would have a nice new bat, after using his existing bat for around 2 seasons. I want to make sure it's appropriate for his age, height, and weight. He is a very good batter, but I'm looking to allow him to bring a little more power and speed to the plate, as it's his first season going against kids pitching as opposed to the machine. He is 9 1/2 yrs. old and 80 lbs. now, and was 55" (4' 7") in October. So, I would guess he's an inch or two taller. Please email me what you think about this particular bat for my son's use in games. ... Thank you!
Based on his size, a 31" model of the Easton Reflex: LX73 is recommended. The Easton Reflex: LX73 is a balanced bat that is a great option for younger players looking to either maintain, or improve their swing speed. At it's current price, the LX73 is a great deal.

The patented Tri-Shell design features a super elastic rubber sleeve san.... read more

My 11 y/o daughter got the bat via UPS at 3pm, and hit a Homerun later that evening during our first game! That says it all.
