Description

Replacing its predecessor the Stealth, Easton introduces a brand new two-piece bat called the Omen that will surely make its presence felt in all levels of baseball this season. Made from Easton's patented IMX Composite, this bat will allow players to hit farther than they ever thought possible with a BBCOR bat! The IMX or Integrated Matrix Technology strengthens and optimizes the composite structure, giving you a bat with extraordinary performance and extreme durability. This durability is even further enhanced by Easton's CNT or Carbon NanoTube Technology. The CNT enhances the proprietary resin system in their composite bats, creating the longest lasting bats in the industry. The Omen also features Easton's patented ConneXion Design System which optimizes performance using "hinge" technology for efficient energy transfer and flex. The ConneXion design seperates the barrel from the handle which creates an expanded hitting surface and completely eliminates any chance of sting or vibration. And with a lower M.O.I., the player will notice a lighter swing weight and faster swing speed. Combine the faster swing speed with the MASSIVE sweet spot on the Omen, and you get a bat that will scare opposing defenses out of their cleats. Put this new Easton bat in your hands and receive your Omen for a successful season! The Easton Omen is BBCOR Certified and is approved for high school and collegiate play. Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference. This bat comes backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: My 13 year old son loves this bat. I bought this for him last month and he has been hitting pretty well so far. I used it at the cage once and it had impressive pop and little vibration. No Complaints

Cons: My son is a little bothered by the fact that everyone wants to use it.

Lefty power

Pros: Scary bat. A legal BBCOR bat that is fully composite, very nasty. It sounds better on the Easton website than any other composite bat out there. Has great pop. No vibration at all like every other Easton bat. Hope to buy one soon

Cons: Hefty price tag but is probably well worth it.

Pros: Bat has good balance and hits 300ft+ right out of the wrapper. My son is 5'10" 160 lbs and loves the power this bat delivers. When it is fully broken in, stand by. BBCOR or not, this stiff handle design transfers energy well and the 6" SS launches. Pricey, but will still out-perform an alloy bat of comparable price.

Cons: Nope

Pros: Bat is finally starting to open up. Takes a good 150-200 swings to break in. Pretty solid pop for a BBCOR. Swings nice and light. Would recommend, even at a steep price.

Cons: Price. You do get what you pay for, but whether or not that's worth it is up to you. BBCOR bats can only be so hot.

Big Ben's Dad

Pros: My 14 year 5'-4" 120 lb Son hit a ball approx 280' first time and then 300' second time, after breaking it in with 160-200 soft toss with a tuff sleeve and 1/4 turns per Omen.bougth many bats before alloy and composite but this one is the real deal. An easy 30' to 50' incress on line drives, can't wait for the new season. Watch out none believers sit back and enjoy as I did.

Cons: My Son's head has gotten bigger.

Pros: looks great! no vibration

Cons: honestly this bat is not to good, and definitely not worth 400 bucks or even 300 bucks. you have to hit it perfect on the "o" in easton for it to have pop. However when you do hit it there the ball flies, but anywhere else yo get nothing accept bad feel, and no pop. waste of money!

Consumer REPORT

Pros: Like many of you shoppers out there i was interested in getting a bat that was affordable as well as a great bat. I came across the Easton Omen and it looked like a great bat. After reviewing bats further I saw the Easton Omen and the Typhoon bats packaged for nearly the same price as the Omen its self. Upon buying the bat pack, I can say that both are great bats worth the price and I recommend the Pack vs. just the Omen or Typhoon.

Cons: None, Both of the bats are solid.

Pros: Feels nice, very evenly weight distribution, and swings nice

Cons: If you are a power hitter don't even think about this bat. I was able to hit the ball 360' with my old bat and with this thing I probably top at around 290' literally. It was great for contact hitting though, I lead the team with a batting average of .403 so it wasn't all that bad. I didn't get the doubles I usually get and had zero homers, unusual for me.

Pros: This bat feels great in your hands and is very well balanced. I haven't really had a chance to fully swing yet since i am still breaking it in, but the few balls i have gotten into have gone 300+ feet. No sting when you get jammed, the paint job is good looking and feels very well built. I cant wait untill i get around 300 hits with it to really let the balls fly. At the price Justbats.com has this bat for, is a deal you can't pass up. If anybody says this bat has no pop they need to know they have to break it in, and maybe they should work on their hitting mechanics. unless they hate easton and just leave bad reviews just to be haters.

Cons: My girlfriend always wants to use my bat to hit now even though it is a 34'' 31 oz bat and she is just 5'3'' 125 lbs

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton Omen BBCOR Baseball Bat: BNC2? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this a legal bat for High School in Florida for the 2011-2012 school year? mugsy
Yes, this bat is approved for play in Florida for 2011-2012. All BBCOR bats are approved for High School and College this year and the upcoming years.
Brett
i play for a private school in south carolina will it be legal there ? mister d
BBCOR bats will be 100% legal every where. You will not have any issues with this model if you follow High School and College regulations.
Brett
I see the the handle get wider as it reaches the base of the bat. I have used a bat like that before and didn't particularly like that feature, as it felt like the bat was about to slip out of my hands... Would I get used to it as I use it more often? J-Rod
I think that you would get used to this. This is going to be one of the highest performing BBCOR bats on the market this year. I would highly recommend this bat for anyone playing high school or college baseball.
Brett
My son is going into 7th grade. He needs a -3 bat to try out for the school team. He is 5"3 and about 140 pounds , would this be a good bat for him and what would be a good size. baseballravager321
This would definitely be a great bat for your son. Based on his height and weight, a 31" 28 oz bat would be recommended.
Brett
What would be a good bat size for a 5"5, 150 pound 7th grader? yankeestopfan2
This is a great link that we have that helps decide what bat size someone should use and what bat they should use; http://www.justbats.com/bat.wizard.aspx . If you have any other personal questions regarding sizing please give a call to our bat experts at 1-866-321-2287.
Brett
Should I get this Omen BBCOR or the CF5 BBCOR? Which bat will offer more pop? Slugger
I've hit with both and honestly felt both were about on the same level in terms of performance. Both the Demarini CF5 and the Easton Omen are going to be top of the line bats each manufacturer has to offer and will both feature the two piece full composite design.
JH
What would you recommend for a power hitter the Easton Omen or the Demarini CF5? Mike
The Easton Omen will be a tad bit stiffer than the Demarini CF5 and may be a little more suitable for a power hitter. Generally power hitters will prefer a bat that is stiff while contact hitters prefer bats that will give them a little more flex.
Brett
Is this bat legal for USSSA play? guillermo
If you are allowed to use big barrel bats, then this would be legal. We always recommend you to ask your coach or someone in the league office.
Todd
Is this bat balanced unlike the stealth? My son is 14 and a freshman in HS and is looking for a bat that is not end loaded. Thanks eddy
Yes, this is a balanced bat. The Easton Omen is going to be one of the more balanced bats on the market at this time.
Todd
My son is a 15 year old player 5 foot 7 and 140 pounds and a two hole contact/some power type hitter. I am looking at the Easton Omen, Demarini CF5 and the Combat B3AB1 as bats for next year (he used the CF4 last year). Any thoughts on those three? Don
Those are all going to be top of the line bats. It truly will come down to the players preference on those bats. All three will be full composite designs but the Omen and the CF5 will be a two piece design while the B3 is a one piece composite design.
John
Is the Easton Omen a better bat then the Demarini Vodoo? Ryan
The Easton Omen will be one of the best composite BBCOR adult bats. The Voodoo has an alloy barrel and composite handle and has been a popular model by players as well.
Kris
I am a power hitter. I want max stiffness, balance, pop and size of sweet spot. How does the Omen compare to the Combat B3 in these areas? Can you suggest a bat that meets this criteria the best? Clint
Going by the preferences you listed, I would say the B3 would suit you best. It's a 1 piece for stiffness, HUGE sweetspot, and great pop. The Omen, is an awesome 2 piece, designed with a stiff flex, great pop, the low MOI makes it swing lighter.
Grandslam
My son is in the 8th grade. 5'- 9" 160 lbs. Very quick hands and very strong. He's currently borrowing a DeMarini 32" -3 bat and has no issues swinging it. We want a 33" -3 Easton bat, but want the right bat for his quick hand speed and power. Can you suggest the best bat for his situation. Cost is not a worry. greg
There are several that would suit him. The Omen being one, the COMBAT B3 AB BBCOR B3AB1 would be another suggestion. If you would like more guidance, just give our reps a call. We will be more than happy to help.

Both are good bats, the main difference is just going to be the material used for each bat. Also, the Easton Omen will be a two piece composite design while the Rawlings 5150 is a one piece all alloy.
Jeff
My son is 5'9" and 150lbs and is playing fall and spring ball for the high school. I'm looking for the right bat and right size bat for him. I'm not sure whether to get him the 32" or 33" but want to be sure before I purchase. Thanks in advance. J
At 5'9" you can go with either one, the 33in he would be less apt to outgrow. If you decided to go with the 33" and it was slightly big for him then he could always choke up on the bat to cut down on the length. The Easton Omen has a low MOI which in turns gives a lighter swing weight for the player.
Todd
I see the Omen is BBCOR approved. I also see its a composite bat. I thought composite bats were not legal for High School play. If I buy this bat will my son be able to use it on a High School team? If BBCOR approves it, is it good for High School no matter composite or not? I spent alot of money on the Stealth and he cant use it because its composite. Thanks for your help! Michelle
The Easton Omen has gone through the required testing and has been approved high school play in 2012. The Easton Omen is BBCOR approved and legal for play in High School and College play.
Kara
Which bat is more top heavy? The CF5 or the Omen? spives1
The Easton Omen and the Demarini CF5 are going to be very similar in construction. They both will be well balanced bats giving a lighter swing weight for the player.
Jeff
My son is 15, playing high school and legion. I want the most bang for (it doesn't matter how many) buck(s). Is the Omen the ticket and is it legal? Mike
The Omen is one of the best BBCOR bats on the market and worth every penny. It is legal for High School and College play in 2011 and 2012.
Kara
Is there any difference in the 2012 model from the 2011 model of Easton Omen BBCOR BNC2 32/29. Including color, feel, balance, grip. Thank you. MD
There actually is not a 2012 Easton Omen Adult baseball bat. The Omen has been discontinued and replaced by the S1 and XL1 in Easton's new Power Brigade Series.
TJ
Is this bat legal for Junior College, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3? swing guru
The Easton Omen is approved for High School and College play that require the BBCOR certification. There might be some different regulations for smaller colleges and Junior College divisions. If you have any questions I would recommend contacting your coach.
Kara
I have four bats I am looking at Easton Omen, Combat B3, Combat 52 Caliber and the Marucci Black In your opinion which bat is best as far as even swing weight? Gman
The Easton Omen and the Marucci Black are going to be very well balanced bats. We have heard some customer feedback saying that the two COMBAT models have a slight end load feel.
Linda
I'm considering purchasing this bat but i need to know if it is legal for play in Texas for the upcoming season and in the future? Ryan
This is legal for high school and college play for 2012.
Kara
Does this bat have the USSSA approved logo on it like the Omen BNC10XL does? Can't tell from the picture. Al
BBCOR bats are not required to have the USSSA stamp on them. Senior league model bats will be required to be stamped for USSSA play.
Linda
Will this bat be legal in 2013? I'm in the eigth grade and looking at this bat for High School in 2012 and 2013 Jonah
Yes, the Easton Omen is BBCOR certified. The Omen will be approved for High School play in 2012 and 2013.
Sean
Choosing a bat- composite bbcor are the bats with the most pop- correct? Trying to decide between Easton Omen, Demarini CF5, and Louisville Slugger TPX. How do I make the best voice? Jay
Both the Easton Omen and Demarini CF5 are going to be a full two piece composite design. The Omen and CF5 are very high performing composites. It would come down to manufacturer's preference.
Todd
Is it USSSA certified?(BPF 1.15 stamp)? parker
Adult bats are BBCOR certified not USSSA. Senior League bats will have the USSSA stamp.
Kara
Does this bat meet the new High School requirements? amy
Yes the Easton Omen is BBCOR certified. The Omen will be legal in High School and College play for 2012 and 2013.
Linda
Would you recommend this bat or the Marucci Black for a contact hitter? I am looking for a bat with good POP. Dr. Swag
The Easton Omen is going to have a stiffer feel than the Marucci Black model. The Omen will almost act as a one piece feel but have a two piece design. The Marucci Black will have a little more flex. In terms of performance they will be very similar.
Sean
What is the difference between the Easton Surge BBCOR and the Easton Omen BBCOR? pjh375
Easton Surge is a 2 piece bat, with the handle being composite and an alloy barrel. The Easton Omen is a 2 piece as well, but both the handle and the barrel are made of composite material. The Surge would be ready to go right out of the wrapper, and the Omen would need about 150-200 hits off the tee or soft toss until the composite fibers are fully broken in. Then you will get maximum performance.
Derek
How does this bat compare to other bats such as the Easton Surge, Demarini CF5 and the Exogrid? Ironmen22
The Easton Omen is going to be a two piece full composie just like the Demarini CF5. The Easton Surge is going to be considered as a hybrid. It will feature a composite handle and alloy barrel. The Louisville Slugger Exogrid will be a one piece all alloy.
Linda
How does this bat compare to the new S1,S2,S3 series? My son is a skinny middle infielder(Junior in High School), good contact hitter. Any recommendation? Timmy C
The Easton Omen has been discontinued and the Easton S1 is replacing it. The S1 and Omen will be very similar in construction. Both will feature a full two piece composite design.
Linda
Does this bat require a break-in period if so how long is and how would I go about doing that? Also I play where it is often very cold during my season would be the lowest tempature for game use? Hammey35
All composite bats require a break in period. To properly break in the bat take about 100-200 swings off a tee or soft toss. Rotate the barrel of the bat about a 1/4 inch each swing. This will help break in the composite material evenly. Do not use yellow dimpled balls in the batting cage as this could damage the bat.
Kara
I play where it is often very cold during my season would be the lowest tempature for game use? Hammey35
Typically the general rule is not to use the bats below 65 degrees.
Linda
What is the best easton bbcor bat for my son he is 5'10 170lbs and is a power hitter going to play his first year of middle school baseball in 7th grade? virginiavenom2

Sean
is this bat legal in Illinois for the 2011-2012 year? its bbcor right? AJ
Yes this bat is legal for play in illinois
Sean
Does this bat need to be broken in and if so, how? Tony
Yes. The break in period is done by hitting off a tee or doing some soft toss. 100-200 hits is needed before the bat will be broken in.
KG
Is there a break in period for this bat since it is a composite bat. If so, how many balls should be hit before game action? Brack
We recommend around 150-200 swings off the tee or soft toss. Make sure you rotate the bat a quarter of an inch every 15-20 swings to help fully break in the composite fibers.
John
When is this bat going to restock for a 33in. cody
The Easton Omen is a discontinued model so we will not be getting anymore in stock. However, the replacment for the Omen, Easton S1 BBCOR: BB11S1 is available in a 33/30.

Tommy
I was wondering on the bat pack do u get two omens or just one also are you going to get any more in stock other than the 34inch cf4 dude

Linda
Does this bat have the USSSA logo on it? I'm in Topeka KS and they tell me that these also have to have that logo. Jr
It doesn't have the USSSA stamp on it, but it is approved for play in USSSA. As long as the bat is BBCOR certified it can be used in USSSA.
Kara
Out of this bat, and the S1, S2 and S3 which one has the weight balanced throughout the bat best? I am a power hitter but I like bat speed, any tips? Bubba12
The S3 is going to be the most balanced and best for power hitters.
K.B.

They have not released a time when they will be deemed illegal. I personally believe BBCOR rules will be around for a while.

Linda
whats more balance and has more pop ; easton omen or anderson nontek? watsup
The nanotek is going to be more balanced than the omen
John
is the omen better than the marucci black d
The Omen is composite so it will have a little more pop than the Marucci Black. The Omen will take some time to break in. The Marucci Black will be hot out of the wrapper.
KB
Why is this bat 199.99? putty13
The Omen is being discontinued, so it has been marked down.
Kara
does this bat have more pop then the anderson nanotek? baseballmg
Both bats will have great pop. The Omen is made of 100% composite and will require a break in period of 100-200 hits before the bat is game ready.
KG
What is the difference in the Omen and the XL1, S1, XL2, and the S2? Bobby A
The S1 and XL1 is going to be the replacement for the Omen. The S1 is going to be more balanced while the XL1 is going to have more of the endload. The S2 and XL2 are going to be the replacement for the Surge.
John
Is the omen legal in Alabama (AHSAA) for 2012 season? ean
Yes, because AHSAA abides by the BBCOR bat regulations.
Shelbe

It has been reported by some customers that this bat can feel slightly top heavy.
Shelbe

KG
I'm about 5'9 and was wondering if a 34 inch bat would be too big. I curently use a 31 inch and want to move up Al

KG

John

Kris
I am 6 ft tall and weigh 180 would 34/31 be to big for me DamenMartin
We suggest the 33 inch for you height and weight.
KB
I am 5 feet tall and 13 years old. How many inches should my bat be? B3AST
Based on your height and age, I would suggest using a bat that is about 30-31 inches. If you need any further help in deciding what size you need, feel free to use the bat coach feature located at the top of our web page. This is a great resource when needing to know what size of bat you need.
Jennifer
Does this bat have a lot of flex? jrh30
Since this bat is a two piece bat, it will offer some flex. This bat would be a great choice for a contact hitter because of that.
Jennifer
Im 5'2 and i weigh 115 would 32/29 be to big for me? ant
The suggested length for someone of your size is about 30 inches. I would probably suggest trying out a 31" 28oz first since that would be closer to your recommended size. If you need any further assistance in selecting the right size, feel free to use our bat coach feature located at the top of the webpage. It will be a great tool in helping you select the right size.
Jennifer
What does the BNC2 mean? Our league says it needs to be BBCOR .50 if it has a composite barrel. does this bat meet that? Dan
BNC2 is just the model number of the bat. This is BBCOR certified.
Tyler
Im 5'9 and 135 pounds. would a 34/31 be to big? 17
A 34 inch bat may be a little too big. I would lean more towards a 32 inch model.
Tyler
What's the low temp this will work without damaging it? 17
Temperature should not have an effect on the bat or cause damage. If the weather is considerably cold I would recommend storing the bat indoors and bringing it out for gameplay only.
Tyler M
I'm 5'7 150 would 34 inch be too big or good? #5
I think it would be a little too big. I would lean towards a 32 inch bat.
Tyler
Hey I'm 17 5 ft 10 and weigh 135 pounds what size should I get? And I want the Omen but I am usually a contact hitter not a power hitter and I hate bats that sting when I hit. Is this a good bat for me? Tyy
I would suggest a 33 inch bat. The Omen is a great fit for contact hitters and it feels great to swing with very little sting and vibration.
Tyler
I am 13 5'5". I have an average amount of power does this bat have a good amount of pop, and what would be the appropriate size for me to use? SluggerNR
The Omen is a great bat with very good pop. At 5'5" I would recommend a 32 inch model.
Tyler
I am 14 5' 5' and 130 pounds what size should I use? BBcoreMaster
If you are looking for an adult bat, based on your height and weight I would suggest going with a 31 inch bat. If you need any further help in trying to decide which size to get, feel free to use out 'bat coach' feature located at the top of the webpage. It will be a great tool in helping get you the correct size.
Jennifer
Is an Easton Omen available in 31 inch drop 5? Mike
The Omen does come in a 31 in drop 5. That bat can be found here: http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen--bnc12xl-senior-league/12688/
Jennifer
I saw that this bat was banned for use in high school ball 2012. Can you confirm that this is wrong? mike
This bat is BBCOR certified, and based on the information we have, is still legal for high school and collegiate play. We have not received any information stating otherwise. You might want to check with your high school sports director or coach to see if maybe it was just banned in your league, but it should still be legal.
Jennifer
If I'm 6" 200lbs what size bat should I use? Brandon22
According to our Coach Program it recommends a 33" 30oz based on your height and weight.
Brad
Is this bat approved for middle school to high school leagues that need a BBCOR bat? Also which bat would you recomend for a power hitter the Easton Omen or the Easton XL3? NIck101
This bat is BBCOR certified, and is legal for high school and collegiate play. I would suggest going with the Easton XL3, because it is a one piece design, which is going to be pretty stiff and is usually preferred by power hitters.
Jennifer
Would you suggest the Easton Omen or the Easton S3 for a contact hitter? Nick W.
Two piece bats like the Omen are better suited for contact hitters.
KB
Which bat is the better 2 piece bat; Easton Omen or Demarini Voodoo? Eric J
It is hard to say which one is really better. Both are great bats and has it's own advantages. The Omen is a two piece full composite design, which means it will require a break in and will perform best over time. The DeMarini Voodoo, is a two piece hybrid design with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The Voodoo will not require a break in and will be hot right out of the wrapper. Both bats are very balanced and will perform very similarly. You can't really go wrong with either!
Jennifer
About how long will it take to break the Easton omen bat in? Tommy A.
For any composite bat we suggest to take 2-300 swings, progressing from front toss to live pitching. Also remember to rotate the handle of the bat a quarter an inch in your hand.
Shelbe
What is the coldest temperature this bat can used in? omen man
Here at JustBats.com we advise you not to use the Easton Omen BBCOR in temperatures below 65 degress because of its composite design.
Brad
Is this bat legal for Junior League? The Hitter
This bat is BBCOR certified, and would be legal for play in the Junior League as well. Here is the link to view all the features of this bat. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/
Derek
Is there a stamp on it that says BBCOR? The Hitter
The BNC2 does feature the BBCOR certification stamp to make it legal for play in 2012. Here is the link to view more details on this bat. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/
Derek
Does it have the permanent USSSA mark on it? Peggy
The BNC2 is an adult bat and will not have a USSSA stamp, only BBCOR. However, it is legal in USSSA play.
Kara
Im 14 and 5-9 138 pounds. I am looking at this bat, Voodoo, and CF5 and can't make a decision. I like this bats price though. What would you recomend if I like a little top heavier smooth feeling bat? pokey
If you prefer a bat that is just a bit more top heavy, I would lean towards the DeMarini Voodoo. The Omen and CF5 are great bats, but are more evenly balanced than the Voodoo.
Tyler
Does a 33 inch bat have a bigger sweet spot than a 32 inch bat? Mar
A 33 inch bat has a longer barrel by design and will have a slightly larger sweetspot
Tyler
Is this bat better are worse than the Easton S2? and is it close to the same as the S1? Baseball Lover
The S1 was made to replace the Omen, so the S1 and Omen will be very similar in performance. The S1 is Easton's top of the line, while the S2 is right behind the S1.
Tyler
Is this bat stamped BBCOR certified? Rick
This bat is stamped BBCOR certified. There is a picture of the stamp located in the pictures at the top of this webpage in case you would like to see it actually on the bat. If you need any other suggestions for BBCOR certified bats, check out this link: http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~adult/approved%20for~bbcor/
Jennifer
Would this bat be good for a kid that is not a power hitter? Little guy
This bat would be a great choice for someone that is not really a power hitter! The two piece design will offer a little bit of flex, which will help contact or gap hitters.
Jennifer
If I order from here will the bat be used Baseball boy
No, this bat will not be used.
Zach
For the Easton Omen bat pack it says bat pack but not the name of the two different bats. I just want to make sure I'm not getting two of the same bat. Am I? CMZ
If a bat pack features different bats, the names of those bats will be featured and there will be a picture of each bat in the pack. If you are looking at the bat pack and it only shows a picture for one bat, then you will get purchasing a bat pack with two of the same bat. For example, the bat pack found here: http://www.justbats.com/product/bat-pack-easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult-2-pack/15016/ will feature two Easton Omens, while this one: http://www.justbats.com/product/bat-pack-easton-omen-bbcor-and-easton-typhoon-bbcor--bnc2-and-bk63-adult/15352/ comes with an Easton Omen and an Easton Typhoon.
Jennifer
Can these bats: Omen, Rival and Surge be used in high school? impalaragtops
If the bats are BBCOR certified, they will be perfectly fine to use in high school. This particular Omen is BBCOR certified, so it can be used in high school. If a bat is BBCOR certified, it will have 'BBCOR' in the title.
Jennifer
Does the Easton Omen bat have a BBCOR approved stamp on it? Thanks g
Yes, the BNC2 is BBCOR certified.
Kara
My 14yr old son, 5'9" is a contact hitter with some power. Should I opt for 2 piece design of this bat over balance of CAT5? Or another I should look at too, up to $250.00? Thanks mark
If your son is a contact hitter, I would suggest going with a two piece bat, like the Easton Omen. This is a very good bat, and most contact hitters prefer the two piece design. The Marucci CAT5 is a great bat, but the one piece design is more preferred by power hitters since it will be more stiff.
Jennifer
Does this bat come in 32in 29oz and 31in 28oz? rezsty
It used to, but the Omen is no longer produced by Easton as it has been replaced by the S1 and XL1. I would look at those models for the sizes you are after.
Tyler
I am a 15 year old kid 6 foot 170. I am a big muscular kid. I am in high school baseball now and want to know what bat I should get. I am a power hitter but want to look for more contact. What bat should I use or get? dylan
If you are looking to hit more for contact, I would suggest checking out a two piece bat, like the Easton Omen. The two piece design is more preferred by contact hitters and will offer a little bit of flex when the ball is hit. The Easton Omen is a great bat that will last you a while and will give you great pop.
Jennifer
Is this bat composite or alloy? And does it require a break in? justin
This is a two piece composite bat and there will be a break in period required. We recommend taking about 150-200 hits either off of a tee or soft toss and starting at about 40% power and gradually increasing the closer you get to the 200 hit mark. Also, make sure you are rotating the barrel about a quarter of an inch in between each hit to ensure an even break in all around the barrel of the bat.
Jennifer
Are the new Power Brigade bats a lot better then this bat? What are the main differences? Andy
The Easton S1 is the bat that Easton has produced to replace the Omen. These bats will basically be the same bat. The main difference between the S line and the XL line is the S line will be more balanced and the XL line has a slight end loaded feel. The difference between the different bats in each line is the material they are made out of. The S1 & XL1 will be two piece full composites, the S2 & XL2 are composite handle/alloy barrel bats, and the S3 & XL3 are one piece alloy bats.
Jennifer
Which bat has a more balanced feel; the Omen or the XL series? Which one do you recommend? 3.14 homerun batter
The Omen will have a more balanced feel. The XL series will have a slight end loaded feel to it. If you are looking for a more balanced bat, I would suggest going with the Easton Omen.
Jennifer
If a bat comes in a bat pack does it effect the quality of the two or three? Like if they had errors in them. Mona Shores Baseball
Absolutely not. The bats will be brand new and there is nothing wrong with them. They are just bundled together and given a lower price in order to help our customers out if they are looking to purchase more than one bat!
Jennifer
Do they sell a BBCOR -5 30in (30"25oz)? Middle school needs to have a BBCOR bat. My son made the middle school team and hes 4 foot nothing and 70 lbs. Swinging a 27oz bat is a project. I was told they could have drop 5. kay
If you are looking for a BBCOR certified bat, you will have to go with a -3 adult bat. These are the only bats that will be BBCOR certified.
Jennifer
Will these three bats (Omen, Surge and Rival) still have the one year warranty on them? akuta
Yes, all three bats will come with a 400 day manufacture's warranty.
Kara
I am 14 6'1 and 195 pounds and I am a power hitter.Would you recommend the 34/31 for me? Noah
Based on your height and weight, I think this would be a perfect size for you! If you need further assistance in trying to find the right size for you, feel free to use our bat coach feature located at the top of out webpage. This is a great tool in trying to help someone find the right size for them.
Jennifer
I am 13 years old and I need this bat in 32 inches 29 ounces. When will you have it back in stock and will the price still be this cheap? Jacob T.
We are not expecting to receive anymore of these bats in stock. This model has been discontinued. If you are looking for a similar bat, I would suggest checking out the Easton S1. This is the bat Easton produced to replace the Omen.
Jennifer
Will you guys be getting this bat in a 32/29 anytime soon? Tank
We are not expecting to receive any more of these bats in stock. This model has been discontinued and replaced with the Easton S1. If you are looking for a bat that is similar to the Omen, I would definitely suggest checking out the S1.
Jennifer
I'm 5/9 127lbs is a 33/30 right for me? Or should I just get the S1? Coop
Choosing a size is going to be what feels best to you. A 32" or 33" is the recommended length. The Omen and S1 are very similar bats. Both bats are 100% composite, have good pop, and have been very popular this year.
Kris
my grandson is 16yrs. old, 5'7" 165lbhs. is this bat suitable for him? Duke
Based on his size, a 32 inch 29 ounce bat is recommended. The Omen is no longer available in that size. I would checkout the Easton S1 which is the new version of the Omen.
Tyler
Is this bat usssa approved? baseball mom
The Easton Omen BNC2 is not USSSA approved.
Sean
Is the Omen the same as the easton S1? Hitter
The Omen was replaced by the S1, the S1 is going to be more balanced of a bat but it has a smaller barrel than the omen
Sean
Is the bat top heavy or uneven in weight in any way ? dan
No. The Omen is an evenly weighted bat.
Tyler
Is the Easton Omen BBCOR BNC2 (34" 31oz) legal for Senior League and High School play? Jeff
Yes, the BNC2 is legal for Senior League and High School play because it is BBCOR certified.
Kara
Are these the only sizes the bats come in? Brown
The only sizes we have in stock and ready to ship are the ones listed on our website. This particular bat has been discontinued and we are not expecting to receive anymore in. If you are looking for something comparable, I would suggest checking out the Easton S1. This is the model that has replaced the Omen and is very comparable to that bat.
Jennifer
Which is better the 5150 or the Omen? blackwell
Both bats are great bats but are very different. The Rawlings 5150 is a one-piece alloy bat, which is a great option for a power hitter. The Easton Omen is a two-piece full composite bat, that would be great for contact hitters. It is hard to say which is "better" since it depends on what type of hitter you are. However, both are great bats and perform very well.
Jennifer
I am a 5 foot 7 inches and 123lbs and a contact hitter. Should I get the Easton Omen or the COMbat 52 Caliber? stephen
If you are a contact hitter, the Easton Omen would suit your needs better since it is a two-piece bat. The COMBAT 52 Caliber is a great bat, but since it's a one-piece bat it is typically better suited for power hitters.

I am about 5 foot 8 inches and 125 lbs and i like to hit for power. I have a DeMarini VooDoo and was thinking about buying this Omen, and I was wondering if it would help me with obtaining more power at the plate? BigD
Composite bats often have a bit more pop than alloy bats. I think the Omen should help you with pop, but the Voodoo is a great bat as well.
Tyler
Is this bat approved by Babe Ruth and if so why is it not stamped? Is the barrel composite? tnt
Yes. The Omen is BBCOR approved and legal in Babe Ruth. The BBCOR stamp is all the BNC2 needs to be deemed legal in Babe Ruth. It has a composite barrel.
Tyler
Is there a difference between the Easton Omen BNC2 and the easton Omen BCN2 or is it a typo? Because I have seen both the names on sports authority's website. g williams thunder #1
That would be a typo. There is no BCN2 Omen... just the BNC2.
Tyler
What does bat pack mean? And is this better than the Nike m1?? Vince24
JustBats Bat Packs consist of closeout models from previous years and act as a clearance section for our site. We package these bats together in order to reduce our inventory and pass along incredible savings to our customers. The price listed is the price per pack, not per individual bat. Take a look, because you won't be able to find deals like these anywhere else on the web! The Omen is all composite and composite bats have the tendency to outperform alloy bats like the M1.
Tyler
You guys no longer have this bat in my size so I'm looking for another bat. I like the composite barrel and I was wondering what would be some good bats. I'm more of a contact hitter and I like to put the ball in the gap. williams #1 suns
If you are looking for a bat pretty similar to the Easton Omen, I would really suggest checking out the Easton S1. This is the bat that has replaced the Omen and will perform just as well as the Omen and it is a great bat!
Jennifer
I was told that this bat would be legal for Babe Ruth. Is that correct, and if not what do you suggest? Rob
The Easton Omen BBCOR is legal in Babe Ruth for ages 13 and above.
Kara
How similar is this bat to the new Easton S1? Clayton
The Easton Omen and Easton S1 are very similar. In fact, the S1 is the replacement for the Omen which has been discontinued. Both are two-piece composites with great pop and would be excellent options for contact hitters.
Derek H.
My son is 145 lbs and 5'8" Freshman and mostly power hitter. What size would you suggest for him? Sharon
Based on his height and weight, I would suggest going with a 32 inch bat. If you need more help in trying to find the right size for your son, feel free to use our bat coach feature located on our website. This is a great tool that will help get the right size for you!
Jennifer
Which bat would have an edge over the other in terms of pop and sweetspot? This one, combat B3 or CF5. gg
All three bats have excellent pop but are designed differently. The Easton Omen BBCOR will have the most flex and be the most end loaded. The COMBAT B3 will be the stiffest and the CF5 will be the most balanced.
Kara
I am 5 foot 8 and 117 pounds. Should I get a 33 or 32 inch? paulie
Based on your height and weight, the suggest size for you is actually a 30 inch bat. If you need more help in trying to find the right size for you, feel free to use our bat coach feature located on our website.
Jennifer
What is the performance difference between this bat, the Easton S1 BBCOR and the Easton Surge BBCOR? scott
The Easton Omen and the Easton S1 are essentially the same bats. The S1 is just the model that has replaced the Omen. These two are different from the Surge in the fact that the Surge has an alloy barrel. Composite barrel bats do tend to offer a little more pop due to the trampoline effect the material creates.
Jennifer
i am 5'10" and 142 lbs. What size bat should I be using? thekiller
Based on our Bat Coach, you should use a 32" or 33" Easton Omen BBCOR, Check out our Bat Coach tool for more information: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Derek H.
I am 5'8" and 150 lbs. What size bat should I be using? the beast
Based on your height and weight, I would suggest going with a 32 inch bat. If you need more help in trying to find the right size of bat for you, feel free to use our bat coach feature located on our web page.
Jennifer
What has better pop, this or the S1? ball slayer
The Easton S1 and the Easton Omen are essentially the same bats. The S1 is just the replacement for the Omen. Both bats will perform just about the same.
Jennifer
I am a very good contact hitter and I am wondering if I should get the Omen or the 2013 Voodoo? superstar select player
Both the Easton Omen and the DeMarini Voodoo are great bats for contact hitters. However, since the Omen has a composite barrel, you might get a little more pop than you would with the Voodoo.
Jennifer
I am 6,3 170 what size bat should I use? Carlos
Based on your height and weight, I would recommend a 34 inch 31 ounce model.
Tyler
Would this bat be game ready as soon as you get it? MW25
The Omen is a composite bat that requires a break in period. After 150-200 hits off a tee, it should be ready to go.
Tyler
How does this bat compare to the Easton XL1? PigPen27
Both are similar. The main difference is the XL1 has a more endloaded weight distribution. The Omen will be more balanced.
Tyler
Is the Omen the same as the s1, but an older version. big money
The S1 has taken the place of the Easton Omen, and still features the one piece composite construction. Here is the link to view more details on the new Easton S1 Brigade Series, as well as the Omen from the previous year. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/ http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-s1-bbcor--bb11s1-adult/14439/
Derek
My Omen 32" -5 does not say BBCOR anywhere on the bat. One Babe Ruth coach has a list showing it as legal; one league director says definitely not. Bat was a gift from grandprents and not sure of details beyond Omen 32", -5. Babe Ruth legal? Aidan
The 32" -5 Easton Omen will not be BBCOR certified and is not legal in any division of Babe Ruth. The Easton Omen BBCOR -3 is legal in Babe Ruth, ages 13 years old and above.
Kara
My son is 13 yrs old 4'10 and 83lbs. With the need to be swinging -3 drop in 1 1/2 seasons what should he swing now to start working toward that transition? For first half has used 29 20 TPX and hit .450. Jason
A drop -5 would be a great transition size. The Easton Omen BNC12XL Senior League would be a great transition bat.
Kara
I have been searching online to possibly purchase a 2012 Easton Omen. However, I have noticed a significant drop in price and am wondering if the bat has been banned or why the price drop? Jacob
The Easton Omen has been replaced by the Easton S3 and Easton XL3. So they are dropping those prices to move them out of inventory for the new models. here is the link to view the new S1 and XL1. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-s1-bbcor--bb11s1-adult/14439/ http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-xl1-bbcor--bb11x1-adult/14436/
Derek
i'm 5'9 weigh 220 i was wondering what would be a good bat and bat size for me next year in high school john
I would suggest going with a 32" or 33" bat based on your height and weight. A good option would be something like the Easton Omen or the DeMarini CF5
Sean
Will I be able to use this bat in highschool play in Florida? Baseball king
This Easton Omen is BBCOR certified. With that being said, it is legal for high school and collegiate level play.
Jennifer
When will the 32 and 31 inches be available for the bats? collin sullivan
The Easton Omen BBCOR is discontinued. We will not be receiving more stock. The Easton S1 BBCOR replaced the Easton Omen and is available in a 31" 28 oz.
Kara
If I have a choice of an Omen, S1, and XL1 which one should I select if price is not an issue? What order would you put them in? Gunner
That all depends on the type of hitter. The XL1 is most endloaded and is a great choice for a strong hitter with good swing speed. The S1 is most balanced and best for a player who may need to improve swing speed. The Omen is balanced and in-between the XL1 and S1 in terms of weight distribution. The Omen is great for an all-around hitter. All are made of the same materials and constructed the same... so it really comes down to what type of hitter you are.
Tyler
How does the easton omen compare to the rival and surge, which are top heavy and which are balanced? Gman
The Omen is Easton's top of the line bat. It is two piece, full composite. The Surge is second and is two piece with an alloy barrel, composite handle. The Rival is third and is one piece, all alloy. All are pretty balanced, but the Surge may feel just a little more top heavy than the other two.
Tyler
Is this bat legal for Junior Little League in 2012? cole
The Easton Omen BBCOR is legal for Junior Little League in 2012.
Kara
Is the Omen legal for college play? Doug
If the Easton Omen you have or are thinking of purchasing has the stamp saying it BBCOR certified then it is legal for college play.
Tom
I'm more of a contact hitter, would this bat be suited for me or would you recommend something else? Valicate
The Easton Omen is a great bat for a contact hitter! It is a two-piece bat and has a little flex, so it should suit your needs just fine.
Jennifer
What is the difference between the Omen and the S1? I'm transitioning to a -3, and I know these are light swinging bats. Is there a difference in the swing speed and composite design, and is there a difference in weight distribution? HRking
The Easton S1 is actually the replacement for the Easton Omen. Both bats are very similar in terms of feel, performance, weight, etc. The S1 is made with an updated composite material and is a little more balanced.
Jennifer
How long does it take to break-in the Omen? Vince
We recommend taking between 150-200 hits either off of a tee or soft toss, starting at about 40% power and increasing the closer you get to the 200 hit mark. Also, make sure you rotate the barrel in between each hit and use the same balls you would normally use in a game.
Jennifer
My Easton Omen broke so i sent it in for a replacement they sent me back the Easton S1 is that the way it should be? bat123
Yes. The Easton Omen is a discontinued model that has been replaced by the Easton S1.
Tyler
are these bats new or used? joshk
The Easton Omen BBCOR: BNC2 is a new bat.
Nick
Are all three bats BBCOR and good for high school? brubon
Thank you for your question. BBCOR is the certification for high school and collegiate play. If the bat has the BBCOR stamp on it, then it is legal for high school play.
Nick
Are the Omen, Surge, and Rival all new and good bats? Why is the price so low? Big Z 22
Yes. They are all new and good bats. The price is low because they are the older Easton models and have been replaced.
Damon
Does the -3 omen have as much pop as -5 omen? Hdawg
The -3 BBCOR version of the Easton Omen is going to have a little less pop because of the restrictions placed on high school and college play. The -5 Omen is still under the USSSA certifications, and wouldn't be legal for play in high or college. Here is the link for the BBCOR version of trhe Omen. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/?pa_source=justbats&pa_medium=was&pa_campaign=badges
Derek
Is the Easton Omen BBCOR legal for Babe Ruth Baseball? bat777
Yes. Adult bats for Babe Ruth Baseball must be BBCOR certified.
Damon
How well is this bat's balance compared to the Easton S1? bgk01
The Omen is a well balanced bat. That being said, the S1 will still have a slightly lighter swing weight compared to the Omen.
Tyler
Will you get some 32/29 omens? Outta_here
No. The Omen has been discontinued and replaced by the Easton S1 and XL1.
Tyler
Because of the balance of this bat, how heavy will a 34 inch actually feel? K DOG
A 34" model will feel around 31 oz.
Johnny
WHEN ARE YOU GETTING A 32 29 SIZE FOR THIS MODEL? Jimmy
Never. The Omen is a discontinued model that has been replaced by the Easton S1 and XL1.
Tyler
I'm 5'7 180Ibs and I swing a 32" now. Should I move up to a 33"? Camm9
The suggested length for a player your size is 32". You would be fine using a 33" bat if you have quick hands and good bat speed.
Tom
I have it narrowed down to three bats the Easton Omen, Easton Surge, and the Easton S2. Which bat is best? Jimmy
The Easton Surge and the Easton S2 are both two-piece hybrid bats that have composite handles and aluminum barrels. The Easton Omen is a two-piece fully composite bat. Here is a link to compare the three bats. http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Tom
What league can we use this bat and is this bat good for a power hitter and a base hit hitter? sammy
The Easton BNC2 is a BBCOR bat widely accepted across all leagues. It's a great bat for an all-around type of hitter.
Tyler
I was thinking about getting this bat, but for a smaller contact hitter, what bat would you recommend? fred
The Easton S1 BBCOR: BB11S1 is the bat that has replaced the Omen and is suited for contact hitters. I would recommend the S1, because it was a balanced swing weight to provide for more bat control.
Nick D
How is this bat's swing weight ratio compared to the Easton S1? bkleis01
The Easton Omen will feel slightly end loaded. The Easton S1 will be more balanced.
Kara
Is this Easton Omen and the Easton Surge bat pack discontinued 2012 models or 2011 models? MVFJET
Yes both the Easton Omen and the Easton Surge are discontinued models. The Easton Omen has been replaced by the Easton XL1 and the Easton S1. The Easton Surge was replaced by the Easton XL2 and Easton S2. Here is a link to view those bats. http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Tom
I have an Easton Omen -10 BNC10XL that is approx 2 years old. I know it is too light for HS play. I can not find a USSSA or BBCOR or BPF 1.15 stamp on it, yet I have seen on various sites that it is USSSA approved. Is it approved for Little League play (ages 10-11 y/o)? Thank you. Rudi
The Easton Omen BNC10XL was not approved for USSSA until June of 2011. The BNC10XL is not approved for Little League. The Easton Omen BBCOR is approved for Little League Juniors Division.
Kara
Do you think that I could swing a 33" 30 oz.? I am 67 inches and 147 pounds. bob
According to our Bat Coach a player your size could use a 32" 29 oz. or a 33" 30 oz. bat.
Tom
Do you think I could swing a 34 inch bat? I am 5'11 and 170 pounds. Jonesy
That is impossible for us to answer without being able to see and analyze your swing. I recommend finding a 34" bat locally, or from a teammate, and taking some swings with it. This will let you know if you are able to handle a 34" Adult BBCOR bat.
Tyler
My Omen broke. What bat would I get since they dont make Omens anymore? I have my warranty. carter
Please contact Easton at 1-888-259-1297 and they will provide you with the product they will replace for the Omen.
Kara
Is the Omen end loaded or balanced? bob
The Easton Omen BBCOR is an end loaded bat.
Kara
I was wondering how this bat compares to the 2012 Demarini CF5 BBCOR? Also how long does this bat and other composite bats take to break in and could this bat last me 3 seasons? scott
The Easton Omen BBCOR and the 2012 DeMarini CF5 BBCOR are the top of line two-piece composite bats for each manufacture. We recommend breaking in a composite bat by taking 100-200 swings off a tee or soft toss, rotating the barrel about 1/4 inch each swing. We also recommend not using your composite bat in batting cages that use yellow dimpled balls. With proper care and break-in, your bat should last you several seasons.
Kara
I was buying a pack of bats and I'm a contact hitter with so I was wondering if I should get the DeMarini Voodoo 2012 and the DeMarini Vexxum 2012 or the Easton Omen the Easton Surge and the Easton Rival. kody
The bat pack with the DeMarini bats offers a wider range of sizes, but the bat pack with the Eastons offers a fully composite bat, a hybrid bat, and a fully aluminum bat. Either bat pack offers great options for contact hitters.
Tom
Is the Omen fully composite? Zay
The Easton Omen is a two-piece all composite bat.
Kara

Out of the -3 CF4, -3 XL1 Power Brigade and this bat, what would have the most pop? baseball1234
All three of these bats are very high performing bats that have a ton of pop. The Easton Omen was replaced by the Easton S1 and XL1, so they will be very similar as far as pop. The DeMarini CF4 was replaced by the CF5. These three bats are top of the line bats.
